Roman Jaeger - AKA "Velocity"
Roman was on his way back from his patrol when he heard Enyo's faint call for help through his comlink. He stopped on the middle of the freeway, shifting his direction and kicking off of the ground with all of his strength. A massive
boom shattered the air, busting the windows of some of the cars around him, the force of his launch sending a couple cars into the ditches. Within two seconds, he was back in the city, and at Enyo's coordinates in twelve more seconds.
The fireman stood over Enyo, looking like he was going to strike. Enyo was unconscious, so he concluded exactly what this man had done. He skidded to a halt, the heat of his speed melting a patch of asphalt beneath his boots. The firefighter was about to kick Enyo, but Roman flashed forward, throwing the man several yards back.
The jerk jumped to his feet and marched towards him, a furious look on his face.
"Don't try it." Roman said, but the firefighter ignored him.
"Stay out of my business!" He shouted at Roman, pulling one of his arms into a punch. When there was about three millimeters between the man's fist and Roman's jaw, the hero's left hand shot into the air, literally faster than the eye could see, stopping the hit with dead force. The firefighter's eyes widened as his attempt was foiled, while Roman's eyes flashed with electric sparks under his helmet.
"Of course she brings her friends to fight her battles!" The Firefighter said.
"She's too mentally weak to defend-" He had no time to finish his sentence as Roman's fist connected with the man's sternum, delivering about 110 pounds of force to his solar plexus and knocking every molecule of air from his lungs. The firefighter was in a world of hurt, while Roman had barely even moved his hand.
The force and speed of the hit sent the coward slamming against his truck, leaving a sizable dent in the aluminum chase of the vehicle. Roman walked to him, his eyes quickly literally blazing with lightning hot anger. He grabbed the firefighter by his she with one hand, turned, and slammed his body against the pavement, audibly crack two of the man's ribs. He charged his hand with a high amount of voltage, pressing it against the man's chest and arcing the energy through his body. The firefighter screamed in pain.
"You feel that?" Roman said in deadly quiet tone.
"I haven't even scratched the surface of what I could do to you, you pathetic excuse for a man." HE said, releasing the current of energy and momentarily ending his suffering.
"Leave the city. If I ever find out that you've hit Enyo or another woman, I'll kill you myself." He said.
With those words, Roman knelt low to the man's face, rearing his fist back and brought it down with nearly 1,000 pounds of force. Instead of hitting the man, which would've destroyed his skull, Roman's fist shattered the concrete, just two inches from the man's head, leaving a four-inch wide hole in the street. He stood, ignoring the horrified look of passersby. He walked to Enyo, carefully and effortlessly picking her up into his arms.
Within in half a minute, Velocity had run Enyo to the HQ Compound, and into the medical wing. He sprinted through the main building until he found Evergreen. He put a hand on her shoulder and ran her back into the medical room.
"She's got several broken ribs, severe bruising, possible internal bleeding, and I think her jaw is broken." He said in a perfectly level tone, despite his worry.
