P.S Still has magical powers."

Literally the best thing you've ever written.

How 'Brief' can my bio be? Taking a villain role, I'd rather not spill everything on my CS.

Also don't we have a WIP Tech sheet and I believe FantasyChic said she was going to work on a Demi.

Some folks literally only gave me a paragraph, so it can be pretty brief. Love the fact your guy's gargoyles come to life to do his bidding. I kinda wanna get in a scrap with one of those things. I also kinda see your guy being similar to Mr. Gold in Once Upon a Time.

Um, pretty sure Batman V Superman is the exact opposite tone to the sort of thing at least some of us are going for and Watchmen while better handled is...also not something I think I'm going for at least.

Though if everyone else wants that, I guess I'm just obligatory notcynicalguy?

I just think the tone will be a little darker because so many of us are walking the line or past villains trying to redeem themselves.

Fantastic, I can already tell Overlord is going to be awesome.

Wouldn't you want to mention everybody you accepted though, @The Kid Lantern? Anyway, nonetheless! I'm wondering how exactly we can start? I'm having an amusing little mental image of Overlord being deposited right in the middle of one of the other's outings against their rival if they have any or some other supervillain. Maybe if @Lord Wraith's character is accepted he falls into the alleyway next to his pawn shop and accidentally knocks around a few garbage cans as he fumbles about wondering where the hell he is and how he's going to resume his glorious, god-given objective?

Edit: Of course, we could start 'later' as a big starting event is happening like the alien invasion thing you mentioned. Of course, I'd personally have a more 'down-to-earth but not really' beginning arc. For example, I'd prefer if a 'doctor doom' or 'lex-luthorish' sort of figure was making a power-grab in the upper echelons of society and the PC's needed to stop him before he went totally dictator, but hey whatever.

I'm open to anything fams.

I posted the Accepted list with the finished character sheets. I don't want to pre-approve something just based on a name or power set. We'll get into specifics with introductions, who will be crossing over with who in the beginning, and all the other stuff once the OOC is posted. If I can I'll have it up after work tonight. I only work a six hour shift so I won't be as wrecked as I have been the last week. Opening a new grocery store today and I'm one of about three cooks in the cafe so I'm hoping we're not completely slammed. Been stressful enough the last few days setting the place up...

He's very heavily inspired by Rumple.

@The Kid Lantern I am probably going to go the Demi-Goddess route, just need to work on a sheet.

Hmm, I didn't know that there was going to be that many 'walking the line' characters when I first applied with Oddie. Maybe I should come up with something a little more light hearted, for diversities sake.

That's cool. I still hate we didn't get to do the WWII heroes coming to the modern world RP where we came up with Union Jackie. I just didn't have it in me to work that hard on another Advanced game if more people weren't into it, and my cat breaking my last laptop didn't do me an favors. Think I'm gonna go back to the Casual writing level for the most part and just be one of those people who insist on this RP being 'high-casual.'

Our characters just don't take any shit from the scum of the earth LOL. We'll put an arrow, fang, sword, eye blast, or bullet right through the bastards.

See, I kind of find casual murder and overly cynical/gritty attitudes in my heroes a little bit boring if it's a widespread thing, personally. Like for example The Judge character in this RP kind of seems to lose his luster and point if all the other characters are also super-violent or anti-heroic

I dunno, I think when people are actively trying to be better people, it's kind of the opposite of cynical and dark but that's just me. Maybe I'm just being too idealistic here since, uh... Let's just say I share Doreen's views on how comics should be, basically. XD

...Then again I am the one who made their character's origins involve a shady clandestine government agency but hey. Just that I seem to be more in favour of something more similar in tone to Marvel's movies than whatever crap DC are putting out with their movies this time.

Yepyep. Honestly, I actually find the moral quandaries faced by "thou shalt not kill" types much more interesting than random slaughter. XD

That's why I was going to insist on the Judge or Oddie going up against my Dark Wolf since he's more of a monster than run of the mill hero or villain. I think if we form a team a lot of the walking the line characters will either become a group similar to Marvel's Thunderbolts, or tone down the violence a bit for public image and all depending on the origin of the hypothetical team. For example if it's government/city sanctioned we'll likely have to kill as a last resort type of thing.

I put Douglas as "Walking the line" due to his criminal past and old ways of doing things. He didn't burn first and ask questions later when he was a criminal - he's not gonna start now as a hero. But, old habits die hard.

I gotta go into work now for about 6-7 hours or so. You guys play nice. I'll also be in the market for a Co-GM to help me run this thing and help folks brainstorm on how to interconnect characters and such. We should also come up with a city name for where we'll all be operating, the different boroughs, etc.

Of course, mentioning that has made me want to make a villain who's pretty much just a spoiled rich brat with an expensive powersuit bought with daddy's money... XD

...Anyways, aside from my more serious suggestion, I think Mammoth City, Colossus City, New Athens and New Acropolis sound pretty decent really.
