Also like the previous suggestions of: Silver City New Athens Acropolis
IF the cast of characters/players is large enough we could possibly have maybe two cities side by side. One would similar to Metropolis and the other like Gotham.

I'm actually pretty cool with this. One city could have the grim and gritty street crime and crimelords and stuff... And the other could have the magic robots and jet-powered gorillas. :D
Seriously though, if we get to that large a cast it's a pretty decent idea.
Edit: Of course, we could start 'later' as a big starting event is happening like the alien invasion thing you mentioned. Of course, I'd personally have a more 'down-to-earth but not really' beginning arc. For example, I'd prefer if a 'doctor doom' or 'lex-luthorish' sort of figure was making a power-grab in the upper echelons of society and the PC's needed to stop him before he went totally dictator, but hey whatever.
I have no idea how I missed this suggestion, but it sounds pretty cool. So basically Avengers vs Trump I mean what.
-Cybernetic right arm: Just a basic robo-arm to replace on he lost after either fighting off a giant alien squid in the future or getting a really bad joint infection and getting it amputated. Its handy because it is able to be manipulated by his power ring into a number of forms with he main three being a grappling hook, a rapid non-lethal laser and a more destructive laser cannon. -Future Human: In the 41st century, Earth is a lot differentfrom how it is in modern times. The mass of the planet had increased a great deal making the gravity stronger in response. There is also a lot of pollutants in the world making humans need to adapt or die off. Luckily humans decided to adapt to these horrible conditions and ended up being able to survive their harsh reality. While this only just barely allows a human to survive in the future, a 41st century human in the present has quite a bit of advantage over the normal humans in the present. Unluckily though Hugh is pretty sickly and doesn’t exercise so he basically equates to a normal human who works out regularly. Hugh is pretty well versed in the areas of genetics and mechanical engineering which allows him to upgrade his costume from time to time or help out other heroes with his knowledge. -Power Ring: The power ring is actually a container for a bio-weapon developed by the beings that ruled over earth. When activated, the ring releases the creature within which covers the wearer normally in a chitin like armour but in Hugh’s case it will only cover his left forearm and shins in chitin while leaving the other parts covered in a almost liquidy cloth. The chitin of the armour is stupidly strong, being able to block blows from the likes of other extremely strong superhumans without getting so much as a scratch. While having strong bracers and kick proof shins are good, the real marvel of the armour comes with its ability to incorporate technology into its biology. The suit can alter any technology that it comes into contact with but it can’t take over something like a plane or a car. The ring can also preform first-aid and gives him enhanced reflexes. The main piece of technology permanently put in the costume is a rocket which would be normally be used to fly but that to difficult for Hugh so he uses it to propelhim forward at approximately 200 km/h and he uses his enhanced reflexes to make sure he doesn’tjust trip and fall overtime.
Weaknesses:
-Human: Hugh is, at his base, a human who can be shot, stabbed, choked, poisoned and everything else a normal human can die from. -Power Ring Faults: Most of the suit is also unable to block most attacks so he has to rely a lot on blocking with his wrists, shins and just flat out dodging. The creature within the ring also needs to be fed if its used since its still technically a living creature. The suit can preform first-aid on Hugh but can’t actually heal him, the healing is all up to Hugh.
Born in the far off future of the 41st century, Hugh Chase grew up in the average Neo American family with his mother, father and sister. Hugh grew up as a straight A student and eventually made his way to the most prestigious university on the planet where he studied robotics and superhuman/alien biology. With all of these amazing feats under his belt already, Hugh decided to put his talents to use as a superhero so that he could defend the innocent. After a confrontation with an enemy called the Chrono-Master, Hugh and his base was flung back in time with Chromo-Masterwhich had him bounce around through time for a little while but eventually he defeated the fiend but was stranded in modern times. Now he defends me and you from the dastardly villains of the present day with his futuristic technology!
Born in the far off future of the 41st century, Hugh Chase was born to a mother who worked in the oldest profession in a post-apocolytic Earth which was conquered by beings that originated outside of time. Hugh did get the highest education possible for a human and was pretty smart but his actual intelligence was pretty low compared to Earth’s inter dimensional rulers. When he got older, Hugh got a job as a drug dealer and was only barely able to get by in the cruel world that Earth had become. He kept his head down all his life trying to not be one of the unlucky few to be taken away by the beings but eventually he ran into a stint of bad luck and got into a scuffle with a stranger infront of the wrong people.
In the blink of an eye, Hugh was aboard one of the being’s ships and headed towards their home planet to have who knows what horrible things done to him. Life seemed bleak for Hugh but his luck was about to do a complete 180. At first one of the guards decided to just up and leave his post, then his holding cell shorted out allowing Hugh to escape and taking this opportunity Hugh ran as fast and quietly as he could. He snuck around the ship for a while before he was inveitably found and chased throughout the ship. Eventually he managed to hide in the best place possible, the armoury. The armoury was full of back-up power rings of the inhabitants of the ship which to Hugh’s knowledge didn’t work on humans but Hugh was pretty desperate so he picked up a ring and put it on. With a surge of energy, Hugh was covered head to toe in a uniform akin to his captors. Sneaking along, Hugh found that the entire crew was searching for him but at the moment they were all speaking about a plan of action near an airlock. Hugh was lucky enough to be one of the very few people to be able to read the being’s written language and was able to stealthily scurry over to a control panel and figure out how to make the doors open, sucking the captors out into space while screaming the whole way. Suddenly though the ship began flashing warning lights and loud sirens began to go off until eventually the ship got shot off into a bright light and suddenly Hugh was back on his home planet of Earth, except it wasn’t the Earth he knew. That was five years ago and with all of his technology and knowledge of the future, Hugh became a superhero in an attempt to gain what he couldn’t in his time. Fame, fortune and freedom. While he mostly does the heroism for the fame, he also wants to stop the being’s invasion in the first place.
After using his ring to be a superhero for a while, Hugh found out that his ring needed to be recharged after reading some files stored within the ship/his new base. He followed the instructions which told him to place the ring in a certain room then press a button outside and watch the show. After doing everything he was told, Hugh watched as a small little bug creature get dropped into the room and the ring opened up, getting ready to devour the little creature. After being a superhero for a month or so, Hugh now had a stronger sense of right and immediately opened up the door and got the creature in the ring back in the ring before it could it the small bug creature. To this day Hugh cares for the little alien bug he named ‘Captain Burt’ and feeds his ring a strict diet of steaks, carrots and peanut butter instead of other bug creatures.
Storylines:

Hugh finds that out after Hugh goes back in time to kill Hugh. -Monster in the Ring: While Hugh’s ring is the source of his power, it was never meant for human hands. -The End of the World: The beings that ruled over the future invaded Earth in Hugh’s past but now its his future. -Insider trading: Hugh likes money so when he’s approached by a company offering him a boat load of money and a new base how can he say no? -Superhuman Rumble!: Hugh flexes his power of money to set up a fight night between superheroes and villainsalike with a huge prize. -Blast from the Past: A figure from Hugh’s past makes a return. -From Hell and back: Burt kicked the bucket but Hugh refuses to accept this. Notes:
-Goldrush has only been active for three years. This isn’t a contradiction. -The official name of the beings in the story are “New Angels” -I'm sorry this isn't brief at all -
I'm going with a drug superhero lol I'll try to finish him as soon as a i can. Archetype: Wild Card Name: Zane Winston Alias: High Zone Age: 22 Powers: The power of drugs: Zane's powers stem from his body's reaction from taking different kinds of drugs and granting him several abilities. By snorting cocaine he is granted his powers for one hour before he has to snort more and he says an oath focus his mind on using his powers, "With great meth and incredible ecstasy, no drug shall escape my grasp. Let those who try to take my goods, beware my wrath High Zone is in the house!"
Quickness of speed: Taking speed granted him the ability run at a top speed of 300 mph.
Cocaine Blast: Zane can fire a blast of white hot energy from his eyes, mouth and nose, all thanks to snorting cocaine for so long.
Meth Rot: He can cause inanimate objects to rot by touching them, it takes about a couple of minutes for the process to work and it becomes much slower if the object is bigger than him.
LSD Vision: Zane's vision becomes powerful enough to see energy, emotions, light particles, auras, magic and the paranormal. The song Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds plays in his head.
Acid Breath: He breaths out a rainbow beam that has an acidic effect on targets.
Ecstasy State: This power grants Zane very high pain tolerance, but it doesn't heal him and he still is injured.
Weaknesses: Spamming his powers will cause his time limit on his powers to decrease and do to the nature of his powers they can cause him bad mental damage. Aside from his abilities Zane has no special defenses or superhuman strnegth to protect him being killed like any other normal human. He is also a drug addict and that has a bad effect on both his physical and mental health causing him to twitch and be hectic. Alignment: hero if you exclude his drug usage. BRIEF Bio: Storylines: [which stories would you like to adapt with OC's?] Notes: [anything else you need to tell us?]
I am stuck on what powers I want to have. I'm going the Demi-Goddess route and am going the Alien route ala Superman, as in a being from space. Just unsure what I want her to have.
