If Futures End didn't just die along with Titans of Gotham I'd consider it. Right now though if I do another DC themed game it's gotta be something I haven't already tried half a dozen times. Might make a Suicide Squad RP if I can find the right players/characters for it, or maybe something like Batman Inc or or Justice League International.

Fact is, I like the thought of a sandbox but I don't think you can just give us one villain and say 'you guys got this'. Personally, at the very beginning sandboxes should be a bit 'railroaded' so that everyone can ease into it and get an idea of how it'll work. You wouldn't hire a guy as a butler and just say 'do your thing', you gotta give him some ideas of how you want him to clean your house.

In essence, I respectfully leave due to my disagreement with how you're currently running this.

Did everyone get the memo where you didn't HAVE to use that villain? The appeal was that everything wasn't happening to your characters, some things were going on in the background. If you even chose to write your character on the same day even, you had the option of mentioning it happening sooner or later in your posts or not at all.

You give people too little room to work and they complain, you give them all the room they could ask for... and they complain. This was in the OP of the iCheck, so I don't understand why it's hard to grasp...

I'm also going to be one of those people who insist this is a High Casual RP. I'm not exactly looking for Advanced level length posts, I just don't want to have to assist everyone with their own individual stories because that isn't what this game is about. Two or three players could be working on their own thing in the game while I'm mimicking a battle like Hulk vs Thing or Superman vs Batman with another player in the background.

I'm still around, just haven't had the gusto to post on here. I'm not used to games where I have little to no direction. I'm used to the GMs putting a situation out and I just go with it. I'm in another game where it's the same thing, the sheer amount of freedom I have just overwhelms me to the point where I don't want to post and have it be too short/too long or not good enough. I know it's quality over quantity, but it's hard to make my feelings understand that.

I'm not giving up, just taking me a bit to get myself to post.

So... if our brute is gone then I'll likely make him a casualty of Shayd to set the behemoth up as more of a threat. Still though, if nobody wants to take Shayd down I'll have him leap away or create a sandbox hero to deal with him that somebody else can do something with later on. Apologies to those still in the game. I know dropouts won't effect this game in nearly the same way as others, but it's still something we have to work around. I'd almost wanna just hit the reset button and start over to get rid of half the characters in the character tab no longer in the game...

Honestly a good portion of the remaining characters have yet to post. I'd be okay to resetting and trying a whole new interest check.

I'd also like to take this as an opportunity to re-approach the stance on single characters. In a big empty universe like this, it might be a good ideas to at least entertain the idea of characters having two separate PCs instead of limiting us to one. At least with two characters I could send a Hero character after Shayd while still playing Mayhew as the Malicious Master of Mayhem. I realize we're allowed 'Sandbox' characters but it's not quite the same.

Might even make a different character since so many archetypes will be available again. Bummer though, was looking forward to using some werewolf gifs I'd found like this one...
