This. . . this was it? This was going to be his elite warband? They were dead, so dead. They were especially dead because Ronin and Kragonis really thought they could question him right now. Cynbel was going to ignore them, but when he realized that this was all he was going to get, he needed to vent some steam off somehow.
" I have authority because I'm taking my job seriously, and going to deal with a threat to everyone. Ronin, when you stop playing around, get off your ass, and start acting like you're a god, you can gladly start contesting my authority. Kragonis, you don't want to really associate yourself with the Pantheon anyway, so your input means even less. If being a god means I have to kill giant behemoths to protect ungrateful humans, than that is what I'm going to do. "
There was no chill for Cynbel right now. He was stressed as it was, but they had time. With enough time, he could think of a flawless plan to defeat to the beast.
As it turned out, someone left Olympus, and ended up getting attacked by Sithilerine. If that person survived this attack, they wouldn't survive the punishment Cynbel was going to give them.
" Okay, no time to plan. Everybody who is considered Merged, follow me. We're going to have to figure it out on the fly. Old Gods, you can stay around, maybe keep an eye on Cythlla. Masrith, open up one of your time portals, we'll travel there that way. I'll try my best to plan during the fight, and figure out how to kill him. Good luck to you all. "
Cynbel took a deep breath. This was going to be a long day.
