"There; that should do it," Granoda Onyxfall set the quill that she had in hand down, and folded a parchment of paper that she'd been writing on once, and then once more. Sliding it carefully into an open envelope, she then held her tongue on the open flap and slid it gracefully along the edge, before pressing it shut. Granoda picked up the quill one last time as she flipped the envelope over on the other side, and wrote a single name at the center: Reikhulin Onyxfall. This time, Granoda place the quill inside an ink bottle that was on her desk, taking the envelope with her as she rose from her seat and left her room.
It was as she entered the main hall that Granoda noticed things were starting to happen. Leonore, Laurence and Noelle had just returned from a mission with the latter two seeming to want to recuperate... only to immediately be resummoned by Maya, the girl who had been seemingly filling in for the Guild Leader that had vanished since oh so long ago. Those three always got the good job of supervising the lesser-ranked adventurers. Rolling her eyes, Granoda watched as the C and D ranked adventurers rummaged around the hall signing up for missions. There where only three present up on the job board, and all of them were ranked below Granoda's level. They seemed urgent enough to warrant a closer look at each however, judging by how urgently the other adventurers had shuffled around.
The first mission that Granoda looked at was an escort one. That was literally all Granoda needed to know, as from her experience, most low-ranked escort missions tended to run smoothly. Too smoothly. As in, hardly worth her time.
The second had to do with destroying goblin burrows. Granoda always loved killing goblins, and one more goblin head on her wall never hurt.
The third involved collecting resources from a shipwreck, and apparently had not been properly vetted out. There was a sense of mystery as to what dangers could possibly be involved, and Granoda found this mystery intriguing. Some of the recovered goods were promised to be a part of the reward for completing the mission as well, and perhaps they could be just as valuable as the extra gold.
While Granoda certainly didn't care for the escort mission in the slightest, she couldn't really decide between good old-fashioned goblin beheading and the whole shipwreck investigation shtick. She'd have to cross that bridge when she got there, but first, she needed to drop this envelope off so that it could be delivered. It was no sense holding on to it any longer than she had to, after all. With that, Granoda looked over towards the receptionist station, where Maya had settled herself.
"Oi! Maya!" she called over, before walking over to her direction, "I've a letter here that I need delivered to Stavemt. Whenever you get the chance to fetch a messenger, yeah?"
Placing the envelope squarely on Maya's desk so that she wouldn't forget it was there, Granoda looked around where she was currently standing, seeing if Leonore, Laurence and Noelle had their backs mostly turned before turning back to Maya.
"Also where are my new recruits, woman? You know I've been waiting for this chance to take up some lads in me own mission," Granoda placed her hands on her hips and immediately pouted after she said this, not too happy that the other three got chosen for the cut.
"There're a lot of foul creatures out in the wild. Monsters. Behemoths. Demons. And then there's MY AXE!!"

Like all dwarves (females in particular), Granoda is severely lacking in the height department. She only stands at 115cm (3' 9") tall, just barely over two-thirds the height of the average female of another race. In full armor, however, she weighs in at a total of 44kg (97lbs). How much of that is from the armor itself and how much is bone and sinew is among allusion, since it's rude to ask a lady her weight. But she does come equipped with a modest set of curves, her BWH Ratio sitting at 17-15-18 if measured in inches and 43-38-46 if measured in centimeters. Granoda also has some well-toned muscles holding up all that armor, and even has her own six-pack of abs.
Beautiful on the outside, hardened and fierce on the outside. That's the shortened description that those who know Granoda will tell those who want to know her as a person. Granoda is a highly authoritative woman, and when she tells someone to do something, she expects it to be done (preferably without debate), and she expects the person doing it to do it in a competent manner. Of course, there'll be times where she'll see no choice but to step in and take over for some people; after all, they do say that if you want a job done right, you have to do it yourself. However, she certainly wouldn't trust her life to someone who's selective about the orders they take... assuming they take any at all. Granoda is occasionally criticized for bossing people around more than she really ought to, with some even going so far as to call her a slave-driver.
However, Granoda certainly has qualities that any good leader should have. For one, she's tactful with her emotions, and doesn't allow things like anger or spite to cloud her judgment. She respects her companions that she adventures with, and while she may command that same respect in return, she considers that to be mutual. She also has patience on her side. She does like to see progress, but she's well aware that some things just take time to complete, and expecting those type of things to see fruition overnight only leads to disappointment. Finally, while she's highly charismatic and certainly confident in herself and her capabilities as an adventurer and warrior, Granoda keeps her ego in check at all times, especially when she's around her superiors and her equals. Although there are times where boasting her accomplishments would certainly be tempting, she strives to back up what she says she can do, equally being content with her actions speaking for themselves. All in all, she sets a good example for how one would be wise to act should they generally like to take charge of things.
Granoda has her limits as to what exactly she'll tolerate. For example, she despises being called Baby Doll, and anyone that ever calls her that will be swiftly "dealt with". Delinquents aren't her favorite type of people to deal with either, and she'll give them as many kicks up the backside as it takes to keep them in line. She'll quite happily do the same to the lazy ones so that they get a move on, to the perverts so that they stop trying to touch her or look up her skirt, and to the cowards so that they grow a pair. Above all else, however, the number one thing that Granoda will have absolutely none of is arrogance. There's nothing that peeves her more than unwarranted self-importance, and if someone like that wants to earn her respect, then they'll have to swallow their pride pretty damn fast or they'll regret it... one way or another.
Granoda Onyxfall was born and raised in Stavemt, a dwarven-founded city constructed deep inside and around one of the many mountains that lined Eastern Rhode. Here, she was raised by a loving mother and father and was the eldest of six children... four of which were sons. Her mother, Reikhulin Onyxfall, ran a tavern that would see to a couple hundred lager-loving dwarves at a time each night, whereas her father, Grobreak Onyxfall, served as a bodyguard to the king that ruled over Stavemt, and would occasionally be sent to escort a party of scouts and venture into uncharted territories across the Eastern Rhode mountain range. Both of these jobs demanded long hours, but at the end of the day, Reikhulin and Grobreak would always come back home with food on the table, which was all that Granoda could ask for. One day, however, tragedy struck in Stavemt when a dragon soared overhead and attacked the outside of it, breathing fire through the caves that lead into the main city. Apparently the dragon was after some treasure that was stolen from its collection by some of the dwarvish scouts, who'd stashed it in Stavemt's main treasury. In any case, Grobreak was one of the many dwarves that were called to action, and there were over one hundred more dwarvish warriors that the king had deployed in an attempt to drive the dragon back.
Stavemt's defense didn't come without its casualties, however. The dragon put up a good fight, not only smacking away most of the warriors sent out to the city's defense, but also burning down the houses that where closest to the caverns' entrance, with a multitude of embers that broke off from the dragon's flames catching some of the civilian dwarves as they tried to escape, before flying away again for the sake of its own survival. Granoda and her brothers were among the fleeing civilians and all of them made it out OK. However, Granoda rushed back the second she realized she was missing her youngest sister Nubrina. Granoda was only 14 years old during that time when the dragon attacked Stavemt, and Nubrina wasn't even half that age, her being about 5 or 6 at the most. So one could imagine how devastating it would be for a girl like that to die so young. Thankfully, after some painstaking searching, Gandora managed to find Nubrina alive. Barely breathing. Face drenched in soot. Arms and legs pinned down by the rubble that'd crashed down around her. But alive, and having hung on even past the point when the dragon had fled. With a sigh of relief, Granoda stayed by Nubrina's side all this time. She couldn't free her from the collapse rubble (not for a lack of trying, mind you), but she was there to keep her company until more physically capable dwarves arrived to the scene.
Four years had passed since the dragon's attack, but there was not a single citizen of Stavemt that had ever forgotten the tragic event. It had especially plagued Grobreak's mind as he worked, as it was a constant reminder of how powerless he was to save his family. He laid down his axe for the final time, officially retiring from his service to the king. It was around this time that Granoda became of age, at which point the Crescent Worldcarver, the axe that Grobreak had been using this whole time, would be passed down for Granoda to wield as per tradition. Granoda also took to wearing some of the armor that the king had gifted Grobreak with, partly as a reward for his service and partly as a memento for the friends that fought alongside him that fateful day. With that, Granoda was all set to see what the world had to offer from beyond the mountain range that was Eastern Rhode, and thus was given permission from the king to venture outside of Stavemt.
Combat Information
Rank: B Magic: Granoda has access to Earth and Fire Magic that she occasionally uses in battle. The spells that she casts aren't too impressive on the surface, albeit more than capable of getting the job done. However, the impressive thing is that Granoda is capable of any kind of advanced magic at all, since dwarves normally have poor affinity with magic. Granoda's magic reserves are at the lowest of all the adventurers, however, so she'll use her spells sparingly; usually only against enemies with an elemental weakness that she can exploit, or against flying enemies or those on the other side of a ravine or otherwise constantly out of range of her axe.
Rock Wall: Granoda erects a barrier of solid rock in front of her and her allies, in order to keep the enemy at bay. Even if the enemy is eventually able to break through, the process of taking it down will buy Granoda more than enough time to recuperate her strength, or make a tactical retreat if need be. The barrier will instantly crumble after 15 minutes of being erected, but Granoda can still climb it if she wants to in the meantime, and potentially use it as a run-up start to clear a large gap, or try to strike enemies down from above.
Bowling Boulder: Collecting Earth Magic at the palm of her hand, Granoda forms a spherical boulder that grows and grows and grows, until it becomes the size of a castle, before hurling it with an overhead throw and all her might.
Inferno Arc: With a swing of the Crescent Worldcarver, Granoda unleashes an arcing wave of Fire Magic at a group of enemies. The wave inflicts less damage as it travels down range, and dissipates after soaring about 5 meters in the air.
Gatling Ember: Here, Granoda propels one hand forward and spreads its fingers wide, before barraging a single enemy with embers made from Fire Magic. This can suppress that enemy's movement, allowing her or her allies an easier time with retreating, or rushing another enemy down without the fear of retaliation. However, the more agile the enemy, the less accurate this move is against them.
Skills: It is said that even the weakest dwarf can out-muscle a human or an elf in any kind of physically orientated contest. And Granoda certainly isn't the weakest dwarf; not by a long shot. In fact, she can lift things several times her weight over her shoulder and either throw them a good distance away or heave them along with her. The only times that Granoda has shown the slightest drain on her are when she tries to lift a total load of more than 500kg (1102lbs). But even then, she'll still insist that "she's got it" and soldier on with the burden.
Granoda is also an avid climber. Just by touching the rock surface, she can tell where a possible hand- or foothold would be on any given cliff-face, as well as whether or not those hand- or footholds would hold or crumble under one's weight. And as long as she still has a handhold, her strong grip will allow her to hang on even on the off-chance that she loses footholds. With this level of confidence in her climbing abilities, Granoda won't hesitate to lead the party as far up a mountain as they may need to... on the condition that they refrain from looking up her skirt. There are a total of 8 items of food and drink that Granoda will consume without any qualms: meat, eggs, cheese, bread, potatoes, good-quality lager or ale, heavy booze such as bourbon or rum, and if she's thirsty enough, water. Of those, the only thing one wouldn't question the healthiness of would be the water. Granoda's refusal to eat vegetables would explain why she's even shorter than the vast majority of other fully-grown female dwarves, as vegetables aid greatly in the growth of a human being... or so scholars would say. In any case, Granoda is exceptionally stubborn in what she puts in her body; so much so that trying to force-feed something she doesn't normally eat can sometimes risk her throwing it back up, embarrassing both her and whomever made the attempt in the process.
Granoda likes to spend her free time out in the bar section of the guild hall, whether she invites or tags along with her fellow adventurers or just goes in by herself. She can certainly handle her liquor despite what her frame would suggest, but she's infinitely more reckless with the intake when she's in a particularly foul mood that day. One can estimate how much alcohol Granoda's had in her already by seeing how sloppily she handles her current drink, as well as how loud her voice comes across since she's the rowdy type. On the contrary to what she's normally like, Granoda finds it extremely difficult to maintain her composure when she's drunk, and can rarely help but rant and rave about one specific thing that pisses her off. The first subject she tends to rant about in most of these instances is the size of her own breasts; or rather, the lack of size that she seems to think they have to them.
During combat, Granoda generally power-walks rather running around at full speed. This may give the impression that she's slow, but it allows her to save her stamina for any emergency burst sprints that she may need to perform or, as the fun part, making almighty swings of her beloved Crescent Worldcarver. It can be surprising, and even scary how quickly Granoda can swing that thing around at times, as the axe is longer than she is tall. Those who know Granoda by reputation have quickly allied themselves with her just for the sake of self-assurance that they'd never have to be on the receiving end of that accursed axe of hers.
The Crescent Worldcarver has been handed down from generation to generation throughout Granoda's ancestory, starting right from the day it was forged in ancient times, and eventually being grafted into the hands of Granoda herself by her father when he retired from the ways of the warrior. Tradition would specifically state that this axe was to be passed down to the eldest child regardless of whether he was the son or she was the daughter. Despite this, Granoda was the 8th female dwarf to ever have her hands on it out of the 35 times it was passed down to the next generation. This goes to show how likely it is for a male dwarf to be birthed over a female one.
Shielded in a thick miasma of magic, the Crescent Worldcarver seems to liquefy the earth as it touches dirt. As the axe is removed from the earth, the liquefaction seems to be connected to the blade, being dragged out into crescents as the dirt quickly hardens. The dirt crescents seem to be as hard as rock, but if any quantity of water touches the hardened dirt, the entire blade quickly crumples onto the ground.
I was also waiting all this time to see which of the two apps I submitted would be accepted, but seeing as you just got back (from the hospital of all places; unfort :/), I'll understand if you don't wanna do that right now and would rather prioritize getting the IC up.

I was also debating making a character based on dystychiphobia, and have everyone get the worst luck they could possibly have while they're around him. I wasn't 100% sure how practical that would actually be, though, and I didn't want to get too greedy with character ideas. I'll leave the idea open for whoever else it might appeal to, while I try to get these other two apps going.
Looks interesting, though it'll probably have to be the last RP that I pick up. I'm already in two RPs atm, one of which has yet to start.
Not sure what power I want just yet though. I guess I'll have to look through all the possible phobias that exist and see which one strikes me the most :/
