Appearance
- Hair: Dark Brown - Black | Straight | Arabelle keeps her hair down mostly, but for official Princess-business Arabelle can be found donning an intricate updo - usually a bun - paired off with matching hair accessories. As unmarried Arcenian princesses aren't supposed to wear crowns or tiaras, so Arabelle compensates with intricate, custom made hairbands.
- Eyes: Blue-Green
- Height: 5'6"
- Body Type: Tall and slim. She is known to make herself taller by maintaining a stiff, straight posture at all times.
- Clothing Style: Arabelleโs style can be described with two words: modest and stylish. Thanks to her mother, she has a good inspiration as to what Arcenians believe is stylish and has absorbed much of her motherโs closet for herself. She has access to the best of Arcenian fashion, and as such always look stylish and impeccable. In a formal situation, Arabelle can be found wearing flattering dresses and heels, as well as a matching facinatior to cover her some of her hair. Othertimes she can be seen in casual but expensive clothes such as branded dresses, blouses and skirts. Rarely do you see her in tattered clothes or in scandalous attire. To please her prudish grandmother, under every skirt and dress she wears flesh coloured tights. ex. 1 | 2 | 3 | 4
- Makeup Wise: Arabelle is known for her fresh, glowy looking features. You can usually see her with simple, but flattering makeup. Her nails are clipped and manicured. She rarely wears false nails and instead opts for nude toned polish that can flatter any look she desires.
- Scars, Tattoos and/or Piercings: She has no tattoos, and the only scarring she has is minor acne scarring from her teens, which she hides under makeup. She only has two earlobe piercings, where she wears simple diamond studs.

Personality
Kind โ Proper โ Playful โ Hard-working โ Judgemental โ Unforgiving โ Prideful โ Stubborn
Arabelle has always been known as the sweetheart princess. From birth, her infectious smiles and giggles had captured the heart of the nation. She's known for her boundless energy. Even today, it's a mystery how Arabelle manages to balance studying for her double degree in History, and Politics and International Relations, princess duty, community volunteering and participating in her university's archery society - although her mates claim her aim is so poor so they'd never allow her to participate competitively.
Aside from hardworking, Arabelle was raised to be kind, well-mannered and courteous. As a member of the Arcenian royal family, Arabelle was expected to perform her roles dutifully, and she excelled those expectations. She takes after her grandmother in her mannerisms and politeness, although her incredible excitement is definitely her grandfather's trait.
Arabelle is also incredibly proud, both of herself (and it shows in the way she presents herself to her people) as well as of her heritage. Learning of the traitors certainly brought out a side that even shocked her family. She is an astonishingly angry and passionate soul about her kingdom, and no silly Bel Austers can claim otherwise.
Arabelle is also very quick to judge. As she always presents herself in the best way she can, she expects others to do the same. She is intolerant towards mess, and if she judges you it is hard to change her mind afterwards without considerable change. Although she is generally kind towards people she likes, her intolerance and quick-to-judge nature can make her chilly towards people she dislikes. She can come across to some people as someone with a "stick up their ass", while to others she can be the happy-playful princess Arcenia has grown to love. Which side of her have you met?

Biography
Betrothed
Arabelle Almore is the second child and eldest daughter to the Crown Prince of Arcenia. Thanks to her grandfather's modern belief, Arabelle never lost her third place in the line for the throne upon her younger brother's birth nearly six years after her own. Although the line of succession meant it was highly unlikely for Arabelle herself to sit on the throne one day, Arabelle was still trained to be a good leader.
Her parents, the Crown Prince Arthur and Princess Sofia, were kindhearted, but firm with her when growing up. She was always encouraged to be the best at what she does. From a young age, she displayed talent in arts, particularly playing the piano, recorder and painting. That, combined with her naturally well-mannered and sweet nature, it was near impossible for the young princess to not be loved by her people during public outings.
As an Arcenian, her most notable trait is her incredible pride for her country. When the young princess was taught at the tender age of five about the basic history of her nation, Arabelle's heart broke for her family. To be betrayed, by your aunt and cousin. It was so cruel! Arabelle couldn't imagine her own cousins hurting her in such a way. The story stuck with the child more than any Disney story could, and she grew up fiercely protective of her nation.
Her grandfather, realising Arabelle was growing up much like the other children of Arcenia, tried to convince her to change her mind. He told her of the good days, the stories passed down from his grandfather, and his grandfather before him. Stories of the Great Kingdom of Crevona that nearly dominated the world with its culture and history. Her grandfather even tried to open her heart to forgiveness, as he had done in his childhood. At near seven years old, King James thought the best way for the young princess to realise the Bel Austers weren't the enemy was to bring her along with him to a meeting with the new King of Austerund. There, little Arabelle met the then eight-year-old Erik. Realising he was the Bel Auster from her story, she innocently asked if he was truly a traitor. The question was not received very well after Erik called her father a butt, and Arabelle decided then and there that Erik Nikolai Bel Auster was her Enemy Number One. The two kings had to separate the wrestling children and postpone the meeting for another day.
Then, it came as a surprise that Erik was her betrothed. At first the then nine-year-old protested with all her might. There was no way her grandfather could throw her to the enemy, right? Unfortunately, the princess had been too young and sheltered to know that the two nations were on a brink of war. Tensions along the border and growing displeasure amongst the people had forced the two kings to agree on a marriage prospect to avoid all-out-war.
The marriage would bring about an era of peace between the two warring nations. It would reunite the two, returning the nations to its former glory. As a result of the marriage, crown prince Erik and Princess Arabelle would then be crowned the new King and Queen. The news of this stirred chaos within Arcenia. The people not only had to expect a reunion after near 300 years of independence but the Arcenian line of succession had changed so princess Arabelle would take the role of Queen upon her marriage to the Crown Prince.
Knowing that brought anxiety to Arabelle. Her grandfather had been known to be one of the greatest kings in the country's history, and she was not prepared to take the mantle so quickly. So, she begged her grandfather one last time. She struck a deal, proposing that the wedding be postponed until she was done with her education, with King James ruling until then. Her grandfather accepted, and now Arabelle is on the cusp of completing her dual degree at her country's esteemed college, trying to figure out more ways to postpone her marriage with her worst nightmare.

Kingdom Name
Arcenia, formally known as the Great Kingdom of Crevona.
(Ar-sen-ee-ah)
King and Queen
The current king is King James V and his Queen Margaret. His only son, the Crown Prince Arthur who married Princess Sofia. With Princess Sofia, the couple had four children: Prince James (VI, if he keeps his name upon coronation), Princess Arabelle, Princess Catherine and Prince Theo. This family is of House Almore.
Kingdom Colors
Blue, Yellow and White
The flag is to represent the horizon over the seas. The Blue is the ocean and yellow the sky, and the white represents the unknown which Arcenians must strive to explore. This is representing the original maritime history of the country.
Religion
Latest census says that the largest practising religion in Arcenia is Christianity (49.9%), non-religious (20% Agnostic, 10% Athiest) followed by other religions. Modern Arcenia is considered to be multi-faith, however as the Royal Family are considered the Head of the Church, it is generally expected that the reigning king and queen adhere to Christian laws.
What The Kingdom Is Known For
- Arcenia, and in particular, it's capital is considered the global financial centre. With its close proximity to bigger kingdoms and number of trading ports along the capital, merchants were free to trade, which developed the banking centre in the mid 17th century.
- Related, but living costs in the capital are ridiculously high. However, tourists always find that staying in the capital is charming and bright experience, particularly the old pubs and chippy shops on each street.
- Like Austerund, many great artists and authors have hailed from Arcenia, enriching the world with creativity and culture that is still recited to this day.
- Inventor of tea, or so they claim.
- Also home to curries, fish and chips, the "pint" and Yorkshire pudding.
- Some of the kingdom's main exports include cars, gold, aircraft parts as well as alcohol (spirits and liqueurs)
- Home to University of Larne, also considered one of the best universities in the world. The Princess is currently attending this university.
- The weather is known to be a little bit garbage, with rains forecasted nearly every day. What is the sun? Arcenians have never heard of it.
- Some historical landmarks in Larne (the capital city) include a giant Ferris wheel, a giant clock and a few giant buildings. Oh, and plenty of giant castles.
- After Crevona split into two kingdoms, Arcenia's priority was to reinvent itself as a new nation. While Austerund focused on maintaining its traditions, Arcenia began to evolve its culture beyond traditional Crevonan beliefs.
- Arcenia is also known for historically having an incredible navy that is still revered to this day.
- Furthermore, Arcenia's military is well maintained due to the constant tension between the Arcenian and Austerund border. Arcenia practices a policy where all men between the ages of 18 and 25 are required to serve in the military for up to a year. Women are also free to join the military during this period, and they, like the men, would be given benefits such as free higher education and paid medical insurance.

TL;DR: Arcenia was originally Crevona, but the succession war in the early 1700s split the country into two new kingdoms: Arcenia and Austerund. Arcenia blames Austerund for the war, and Austerund blames Arcenia. The current King propelled the nation into success despite constant wars between Austerund and Arcenia, but the king was over the growing tension. To fix it, he and the king of Austerund plan on wedding their children and combining the kingdom, ending the near 300 split between the two nations. Some people are thrilled, others (read: James VI) are not.
Before Arcenia came the Great Kingdom of Crevona, and before that? Well, very little. Crevona was initially just a collection of small, near insignificant duchies that were in constant war amongst each other for land and food. In the early 14th century, the Duchy of Solina, one of the many small duchies within the country began what is now considered the unification of Crevona.
Duke Henry of the Bel Auster dynasty was the key to conquering and unifying the lands under one rule: his. He was considered a strategic genius, capable of never losing any war. Under Duke Henry's rule, the new kingdom of Crevona prospered. Now that there was no competition amongst each other, the people could work together to realise Duke Henry's dream of a Great Kingdom. Upon the union of Crevona, Henry retired the title of Duke in favour of King of Crevona, henceforth becoming King Henry the first.
His success carried through the next few generations, and Crevona was even reinvented when the first Queen, Queen Estelle took the throne in the late 15th century. The hands of Queen Estelle were rumoured to be coated in gold, as under her rule the country began to develop economically, now considered one of the richest Kingdoms of the time. This was done by her encouraging maritime exploration, which pushed the world into the Age of Exploration alongside other nations. Crevona seeked new trading partners and trading routes, which further brought money and success to Crevona's banks.
This era was known as the Golden era, as Crevona made its name in the fields of science, art and technology. However, this era would not last for long, as a century later, tragedy would strike the Bel Auster family and tear the Great Kingdom apart.

Princess Leonore, the King's sister, was married off to the neighbouring kingdom's nobility while her younger brother was named the heir. The siblings did not get along, even from childhood. It was noted that Princess Leonore was an ambitious woman that had no desire to play the role expected of women in the mid 17th century. Her brother was an incompetent ruler, raising taxes for the people to fund his lavish tournaments, feasts and parties. The people grew tired of the King, and not even the goodwill of his beloved queen could placate the growing displeasure.
The birth of Princess Amara, the King's only legitimised daughter with the queen was fraught with intrigue and gossip. The superstitious believed the storm during her birth foretold that the princess would bring nothing but misfortune upon the Crevonans. It did not help that the nurses that helped Queen Anne through the birth of her only child told stories of how the babe was disfigured and blue, her mother's own womb trying to kill her during birth. Furthermore, Princess Amara was considered mad for her time, and news of the King announcing his intention to crown the princess as his heir tipped the scales against the family.
Princess Leonore and her son returned to Crevonan court, bringing with them further malicious gossip of witchcraft and terror about the royal family. The sudden and surprising death of Queen Anne was the final straw, however, especially with the King following shortly after due to heartbreak. Before Amara could be crowned queen, her cousin Nikolai brought with him the army from his kingdom, as well as the support of the Crevonan people and managed to oust the heir for a short period, banishing the mad princess to the home estate and crowning himself the King.
The next ten years brought instability, as the crown shifted between Amara and Nikolai multiple times until a treaty proposed by their sons that were sick of war split the kingdom of Crevona into two halves: Arcenia, the kingdom that holds onto the seat that Crevona once held, ruled by Amara's descendants, while Nikolai's descendants would take back the Bel Auster family plot and use it as a seat of power for the new kingdom of Austerund.
The royal house of Bel Auster would be carried on in Austerund, whilst Queen Amara would take her husband's name and birth the future of House Almore.

The new House Almore brought an era of prosperity, as the old Bel Auster had. The two kingdoms fought many wars with sword and words. This hatred is maintained even today, as the children of Arcenia are taught of how Princess Leonore betrayed them and began the war that tore the family and kingdom apart. This continues to drive a wedge between the two nations, with each generation the rift growing stronger.
As the country progressed into the modern era, slowly even the laws and monarchy changed with it. With King James V coming into power, he abolished the male primogeniture rule that robbed his dear elder sister of the throne, as well as brought an era of progression with him. His optimistic attitude towards everything, including Austerund brings hope in the people that one day they will live in peace like in the days of Crevona. Even today, King James is regarded as the best monarch since Queen Estelle for his dedication to bettering the country and propelling it into the modern age. Today, Arcenia's strength in the financial world is all due to the efforts of King James.
News of his plans to wed his only granddaughter with the crown prince of Austerund shocked the nation, but nothing compared to the news that followed. King James plans on stepping down upon her wedding, and crown both Prince Erik and Princess Arabelle as the new rulers of a joined Kingdom. The people of Arcenia await with bated breath, as the countdown is soon to begin once Princess Arabelle completes her education at the University of Larne.

"Prince Erik is absolutely maddening! I cannot believe I have to suffer with him for the rest of my life."
Arabelle's first encounter with Erik was... unfortunate, to say the least. The two initially met as children, which ended with them scuffling (more like her trying to fight him while he took advantage of his age and height to push her away with a palm to the forehead). Since then, each encounter between the two has been chilly and harsh. Even today Arabelle claims to hate Erik and his family, and she is doing all she can to postpone the inevitable. Currently, her family is waiting for her to complete her double degree, which she will graduate with next year. She's running out of time to figure out how else she can postpone the wedding with the devil himself.

"My baby sister. Arcenian tabloids have no right to talk about their princess in such a way."
Had Arabelle had more power, she would have called for the Larne Lark to be shut down for their hand at sensationalising Catherine having a good time. What twenty year old wasn't interested in partying? Growing up, Ara had always been protective of her younger sister and that still hasn't changed today. The only thing stopping Arabelle from considering more ways to hold off her own wedding is Cat: if Ara is queen, surely then Cat wouldn't have to be held under their parents' terribly high expectations.

"Finally, some good bleeding style."
Arabelle and Alejandro were destined to be friends. Alejandro's ways with style possibly surpasses even Arabelle's, much to her pleasant surprise. Thanks to him and the rest of Braid Squad, Arabelle has been seen rocking braids more often.

"I adore Gen, she makes me want to protect her."
Although Arabelle and Philip met first, her friendship with Gen is something Arabelle treasures. Gen is frequently invited to Arcenia, which is geographically close to Maris, for tea and lowkey volunteering and social work. Plus, new scenery always allows Gen to take more artsy photos for her social media.

"I appreciate Raven's company, she's bright and knows how to hold a conversation."
Raven is the first person Arabelle decides to invite to the annual Arcenian Ascot races. Their mutual love for animals (particularly horses in this case), as well as books means that Arabelle considers Raven to be a great princess and a capable future leader of Aciras.

"Philip is a right laugh and I think he's a great brother. He reminds me of James sometimes."
The close relationship between neighbouring kingdoms Maris and Arcenia meant that Philip and Arabelle were bound to be at least friendly towards each other. It helped that they got along well, and Arabelle can be frequently seen hanging around with Philip and Alejandro at royal events and parties. It also helps that he is very cute.

"Leonor has had to deal with a lot, but dare I say has she's come out strong."
There was a time when Arcenia and Nevarrea had plans to forge an alliance through marriage. Although plans fell through, the relationship between the two nations didn't suffer. Arabelle and Leonor met after her grandfather took her along with him to a diplomatic meeting. The two children got along great, and have since been seen pictured at events and parties together.

"Notia is a highly regarded ally of Arcenia, I would be a fool not to maintain that."
Although Asher is not what Arabelle would consider a dearest friend, the shared history between their kingdoms have forged an alliance that not even Arabelle intends on changing. Asher is cute, but his flirty nature has yet to make her do more than blush.

"Henri is a sweetheart. We may not have the same circles, but I can appreciate relaxing every once in a while."
Arabelle met Henri through Gen during one of her many visits to Maris. Although Arabelle and Henri do not have many other mutual friends aside from Gen, Ara still enjoys the calm that Henri brings to her restless nature. When they do hang out, it is often with Gen at small tea parties where the trio would enjoy a nice cuppa and discuss arts and history together.

"Chris is a handsome man, and I respect the work he has done to represent the LGBTQ+ community."
Arabelle met Chris while her family hosted him during his studies at Larne. Although he was a friend of James' first, given their similar age, Arabelle was quick to befriend him and take him around the city. After all, Arabelle knew of the best places to take Chris to satisfy his love for exploring.

"Beatrice looks absolutely stunning, and she's graceful like you would expect out of any princess. I should ask her about her stylist someday, maybe I could use a tip or two from her."
Arabelle and Beatrice met on one of many diplomatic visits between Arcenia and Kรถnigreich der Welten. It's hard not for the two girls to get along, especially as Arabelle respects the hell out of Beatrice composed nature.

"I cannot take her seriously, what princess has such a punky attitude AND bad choice in friends? Really, Erik?!"
In another world, Han and Arabelle would get along like a house on fire. However, Han's way of speaking caught Arabelle off-guard when she began to talk about her dislike for Erik, causing Han to put her in place, much to Ara's surprise. Since then, Arabelle believes Han to be closer to her Austerund enemies than to Arcenia. It has caused some friction between the two since then, although Arabelle would not mind giving Han another chance, on Catherine's behest.

"We have spoken maybe a handful of times, but those have probably been some of the most funniest moments in my life."
Arabelle knows Quincy as Marcy's boyfriend-almost-husband. His sense of humour is an absolute riot, leaving Arabelle in stitches most of the time. Although she doesn't appreciate the smell of smoke radiating off Quincy like an aura of death.

"Oh thank God for Marcy, between her and Alejandro I have faith in humanity's style."
Arabelle met Marcy after the latter dated James for a brief period whilst he was away at Eton College in England. Although the relationship did not last between the two, Arabelle maintained her friendship with the princess. Although their schedules rarely align, particularly due to the distance, Arabelle considers Marcela a friend.

"I cannot support a kingdom that allows something as barbaric as slavery under their rule. No matter how 'sweet' the little pup is, I absolutely abhor the Sovereignty. Arcenia will maintain its grounds against the Sovereignty until further notice."

"The Prince is so well-mannered, it's delightful. His taste in music is impeccable, and I've heard he's a talented musician. Perhaps I could bother him for a duet someday?"

"I've certainly read about her. I respect the hardships she's faced, and I wish her the best of luck as crown princess. I hope this get-together means I can formally introduce myself to her. Who knows, maybe a friendship may bloom?"

"I know very little about her... something about her makes me want to avoid her, I haven't put my finger on a reason yet."

"Prince Rhys is undoubtedly handsome, but part of me believes we will struggle to get along."

"I respect anyone that serves in the military. My brother would like her a lot."
