@Flamelord If you're still looking for partners, I would be interested in doing a Kingdom Hearts RP. Especially if you don't mind me playing Saix, since he's my favorite character.
It's been pretty quiet here. Part of that being my own fault/busyness.
Doing a quick role call to make sure everyone is still interested.
@Zurnt Do you still want the hero role? I'm asking cause it's been a few days and I did set a time limit on getting character sheets up. A none specific time limit, but a time limit nonetheless.
Age: 24 when she was sealed in the sword. Now she is technically 724. Though her body hasn't changed.
Gender: Female
Race: Formerly Hylian, now Spirit.
Role: Sword Spirit
Appearance:
Personality: Observant and wise beyond her years. Ashi is the motherly type who likes to protect those who are close to her. She has a strong sense of duty and a whole lot of stubbornness. She's intelligent and loves to learn, one of those types who knows a little bit of everything. Her knowledge of the goddesses is second to none, books wouldn't even know more about that then she does. She hides her emotions from others and can come off as cold if people don't know better. She can keep a clear head in nearly any situation and can always be the calm voice of reason.
Special Item: Knowledge of the adventure that is to come and the telekinetic ability to call together the hero and their companions.
Weapon: Energy based magic that is pale blue in color. She uses it mostly for shielding the hero and their allies. But can also use it to attack with spheres and whips. She has also manifest it into various weapons, her favorite is a spear.
History: I'll be keeping that to myself for now and revealing through the RP.
Other: When Ashi manifests from the Master Sword, she is surprisingly human. She can be touched, she can be injured, she can even be killed. It is only inside the Master Sword that nothing can harm her.
Each character has a specific role for the temples.
The Sword Spirit is the glue who keeps them all together, who feeds them information on the monsters and puzzles inside each temple.
The Guide is the one with intimate knowledge of the land of Hyrule, only he knows where the temples themselves reside.
The Musician is the only one who can open the doors into the temples themselves. By using the correct song and their special instrument.
The Royal Blood is needed to get through the temple itself, by using her light magic, and the intellect given to her by the Triforce of Wisdom, only she can solve the puzzles, and stave off the darkness inside.
The Hero is the only one who can deal the final blow to the bosses living inside the temples. As they are the only one capable of wielding the Master Sword.
The Sage is the only one capable of carrying the medallions, which must be put into the altars in the heart of each temple.
Once each temple has been completed and each medallion put in place, each member of the group will receive a boost in power. Whether that means gaining a new power, or just getting their old ones strengthened is up to you guys. At the ends of all the temples, they will be strong enough to destroy evil for good.
It's that time again, for the hero and the princess to be reborn in order to stop the evil that corrupts the land. Every few generations, the goddesses use their power to recreate, reincarnate if you will, the hero and the princess to keep their land safe. But, they have had enough. This will be it. If it was canon, it would be the last place in the timeline. The goddesses are pouring extra power into these reincarnations, making them stronger than any of the previous ones. They are also bringing a few extras back to help. Unfortunately, due to this, they cannot control what the reincarnations look or act like now, because of the power they spent making them stronger. Even they don't know what they will turn out like.
In order to make sure the hero and their companions stay on track, the goddesses need to give them a helper, like the previous hero had. A few cycles ago, the spirit Fi was finally freed from the Master Sword, in her place, a new being was chosen. This being, would make the perfect companion. Satisfied that these new reincarnations would be able to not only save the world one day, but end the cycles once and for all, they left the place once again to rest.
Skip ahead a few years until the reincarnations are old enough to do their job, and they are needed. It's a big event in Hyrule. A huge festival is taking place in Castle Town to celebrate the anniversary of the kingdom's founding. People of all races are there to celebrate. There's fun and games, dancing, laughing, booze, everything a good festival needs. But there are a few who just can't seem to enjoy it as much as the others. Something is calling to them, tugging at the back of their minds, trying to guide them toward the old Temple of Time.
Rules:
1. I am the GM, my word is law. To a certain extent. I'll be the first to admit that I can be a bit of a control freak. If I'm doing something that you don't think I should be, or you think I'm sending the plot in a direction it shouldn't go, or anything really. Feel free to call me out, let me know I'm getting too controlling, give suggestions for where the plot should go instead. I may have made the baseline, but this is our story.
2. No godmodding, powerplay, etc. Every person who joins this will have spent time and effort into creating a wonderful character. Don't be a dick and try to control any other character than your own. Also don't be trying to get out of every epic battle without injury. In real life, if you go into a fight against a bladed weapon, the chances of you getting cut are extremely high. This isn't real life of course, but I'm a martial artist, I like a hint of realism in my fights.
3. Read the rules. If you don't read the rules, I'll know, and I won't let you in the RP. Most of it is just the usually rule stuff, but I'm a bit pickier than most. So make sure you understand everything before asking to join. Also, to make sure you did read them, when you go to reserve a character spot, tell me your favorite Zelda game. Mine is Spirit Tracks.
4. Be nice and respectful to your fellow RPers. People fight, I get that, trust me I do. But the OOC is supposed to be a friendly place to chat and chill out between posts. I've gotten a lot of advice and support from people in various OOCs. I've also gotten a lot of hate. Opinions differ, but they're somebody's personal choice. If you don't agree with it, it's okay, but don't go hating on what another person likes. If you don't understand someone's opinion, just ask, most people won't get angry if you do.
5. Be active! This is probably the most important rule on here. Because lack of activity kills an RP. In a perfect world I'd be asking for a post a day, but that just isn't going to happen. So instead I'll set it as once a week. If you can't post once a week, then you need to learn how to manage your time better. I understand if you're going on vacation, or studying for finals, or whatever. But notify beforehand please. Also, even if you can't post on a given day, feel free to chat in the OOC with us.
6. Be ready for swearing. I'm an adult, I can swear if I want to. You can swear if you want to. There will be swearing in this, we're RPing characters in a time of war, it happens. I don't want you swearing every other word, but a little bit is allowed. If you aren't comfortable with swearing yourself, that's fine, just be ready for other people to do it.
7. No one-liners. Seriously, if you want those stupid things, go to the free section. I would like at least two decent sized paragraphs per post. My personal minimum for myself is three, and I usually post a lot more than that. I'm not expect you to write huge posts every time, but give everybody something to work with.
Roles:
There are a finite number of roles is the RP. After they're filled, I won't be accepting more. I don't want a huge group of people who are all going to drop out. I want a small, more closely knit group. I am going to have some set things for each role, but you will still be able to create the character more or less how you want it. As I said in the story, these reincarnations are totally different than the previous ones. So if you reserve the hero role, you can have a female hero. You do have to reserve these roles, and I've giving you only a couple of days to get in your character sheet. After a few days, you lose your reserve slot. Also keep in mind, that reserving a slot doesn't automatically mean you get it. Your character sheet still has to be accepted.
Hero: The hero of our story. Bearer of the Triforce of Courage. Wields Master Sword. Taken by Apollosarcher.
Royal Blood: The prince/princess of the royal family. Bearer of the Triforce of Wisdom. Wields light based magic. Taken by IceHeart
Sword Spirit: The Spirit sealed inside the Master Sword. Has knowledge beyond their years. Wields energy based magic. Taken by Airbender
Musician: A musician with the power to open the way to the sealed temples. Capable of wielding one special instrument of your choice. (Ocarina of Time, Spirit Flute, Goddess Harp, Wind Waker.) Taken by EleventhFret.
Guide: Someone who is intimately familiar with the land of Hyrule. Wields some sort of ranged weapon. Taken by Lauder.
Sage: The reincarnation of the seven sages. Carries with them the seven medallions. Has the right to be slightly OP. Taken by rawkhawk64.
Now that we have those out of the way, here's your character sheet. Feel free to leave it simple, or pretty it up however you want.
Name: Age: Gender: Race: Role: Appearance: (Picture, description, or both.) Personality: Special Item: (What item was given to them by the goddesses?) Weapon: (If any, what weapon do they wield in battle? Magic does count) History: (Optional) Song: (Pick a song from the Zelda series that you think suits your character, or that you think they would like. This is required, music will be an important part later on in the plot) Other: (Anything else you want to tell us about your character)
And that's it! If you have any questions about anything, feel free to let me know. And don't forget to have fun!
@rawkhawk64 Just a general sage. In this context sage refers to a powerful magic user. Hence why they have the right to be slightly OP. The stuff involving temples will be explained when the OOC is up.
