In an alternate universe, a parallel Konohagakure stands tall, but the familiar faces of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura are replaced by new, original characters. The Hidden Leaf Village remains a bustling hub of shinobi activity, with a Hokage at its helm; while a fresh narrative unfolds against the backdrop of iconic landmarks and landscapes.

The ninja academies teem with aspiring students, each with their own unique talents and dreams. The absence of canon characters allows for a different set of rivalries, alliances, and friendships to develop among the next generation of ninja. The Chunin Exams become a stage where these budding shinobi will showcase their skills.

While the Akatsuki may not be the looming threat, the absence of the original characters opens the door for unforeseen heroes and villains to rise, with their backstories and motivations shaping the destiny of this alternate Naruto world.

POKeMON: A Mystery - Always Open

Sugar was disorientated by the blinding light that illuminated from the main stadium. She waved out her arms and found Garscon wobbling on his feet. Her vision hadn’t adjusted yet and the cacophony of passengers added to her sensory overload.

“-cuse me…” … “What happened to your partner?”

Sugar heard a voice but she couldn’t hear clearly, “water - pin - her, huh?” She said, only just coming to her senses. In front of her stood Haze, kindly enquiring about Garscon.

"This Machamp looks roughed up, is he hurt?” … "Are you alright?”

Garscon snapped out of it, blushing from Haze’s words. He wanted nothing more than to find a new suit and gussy up. It was hurting his ego to appear like a ruffian. Sugar could sympathise with the look on his face, "Garscon, you've never looked better" she laughed, "me on the other hand, I'm out of a job. I'm a chef at the Lucky Catch but there was an… explosion or something..." She paused, confused, “last… night? What time is it?”

”A minute ago I would have said it's after midnight but right now it's looking more like the afternoon. This doesn't make sense. I do not remember sleeping.”

Garscon took a closer look at Haze, he recognised her from the day before, having visited the Lucky Catch twice for food to go, both lunch and dinner. He signalled to Sugar his realisation. “Oh, Garscon recognises you!”

"That's right, I... Uh, my boss is a big fan of your cooking”

Sugar’s face lit up with a sparkling smile, of course, everyone is a fan of her cooking - or so she believes. “Aw, I’m so gl… Wait a second, I can’t help but think this sure ain’t the time for chatter. I reckon, we ought to find out what’s going on.”

She’s able to perform feats of acrobatics in this form akin to that of stealthy assassin.

Personality
Lin is a fashion designer drawn to Dead Kid Club by the game’s stunning aesthetics. She often wanders Lancelot in marvel of the other player's designs. From scenery to garments, Lin is fascinated by the creativity of the server’s residents. She draws seemingly limitless inspiration from Dead Kid Club’s amalgamation of styles and uses it to fuel her hobby in the real world. Saying that, her work to play ratio is off-balance - she finds herself sucked into Lancelot for unhealthy stretches of time.

Lin is friendly, especially towards players sporting creatively designed avatars. She enjoys discussing style influences and noting the colour palettes she likes. It could be inferred that Lin is perhaps naive to the dangers of Dead Kid Club. It’s her greatest weakness that she takes her presence there lightly; for it’s not just a game and she’ll likely realise that soon.

Background
IRL: Lin_Way is a creative 16 year old girl interested in fashion and gaming. She uses computers to design clothing and noticed a similarity between drafting a garment and hacking code. This unlikely pairing lead Lin on a journey into Lancelot where she immediately felt in her element. She begins the role-play after months of design, testing her recently unveiled clothing collection.
