Ezra Jasekade

After Ezra's small words of encouragement, he had continued to look at the girl. Her nervous demeanor had seemed to vanish due to his words and he was thankful for this as he saw a smile emerge upon her face. That was more encouraging to him than a girl that was frightened, especially in the case of a teammate. Confidence was always a sign of greatness, no matter who they were and he wholeheartedly accepted this new demeanour that Tomoe had taken on. In effect, he had accepted her as a member of the team.

That's when he started to get a little bit uncomfortable however. After asking her to tag along to the gym to get the gear, she seemed to get very excited. He knew people enjoyed hero school, but definitely not that much as after a nod she had latched herself onto his arm. He didn't really know what to make of it, as it felt she had the same proportions as his younger family members, but it felt too new and awkward for him. He didn't blush or slight away from it, but he didn't know what to make of it.

Shortly after this, a few rapid-fire questions had came from the girl. She didn't know his full name and she wanted to know his quirk. Given the exercise and the location they were as he began walking, he figured he had no difficulties telling her as long as he kept close to her ear regarding the quirk. He started off with the first.

"My full name is Ezra Jasekade." he spoke calmly as he got in closer to Tomoe after finishing his sentence, within whispering distance to her ear. It looked pretty innocent, but it still made him even more uncomfortable. Contact was not something he was familiar with across separate genders.

"As for my quirk, I can speed how quick things move. If I throw a dart, I can increase how quick it is going to move for the next 3 seconds. I've never really tried it with people but given it works on me I'll assume it'll work the same way. You can tell me yours whenever you feel like it." he spoke softly into her ear as he backed his head away from hers and continued walking to the gym, arriving around the same time that Mina had changed into her costume. He'd got his stuff out of the locker and gave Tomoe a nod to know that she had to get ready as he went and got changed.

He hadn't prepared a costume of any kind, so he had effectively packed gym gear. A jumpsuit with bottoms and a jacket were provided, and he had strapped a different pair of shoes. Seeing the conditions from last time, he didn't want to damage his more prize pairs so he wore one of his less expensive pairs. They were still comfortable but he didn't want to put something he'd spent a lot of money on the line for. Figuring he was set, he'd go and meet everyone back in the gym and wait till his team had finished up. He didn't have any comments on Mina's outfit, he saw them as unnecessary. Heroes shouldn't have to dress up to kick ass, they should be able to do it whenever called upon. Jett's was very showboat y as well, but given as they had lived spoiled lives, he saw no issue with them playing dress up. He'd sit and wait till Tomoe got back, he wondered what she'd have in store.

Ezra listened to Mina. The girl had a lot of pride, and that was something that he could respect. But what he couldn't stand was her arrogant attitude, as if being raised by heroes made her a better person. He let it slide because he really didn't want to get into it today, but he could tell that he would not get along with this girl now, or in the future as their values and beliefs were completely different even from the fundamentals. Still, he listened, took in her message and decided to believe in her, though he didn't really have a response other than an assuring nod.

It was at this point that he'd found another interesting guest to his desk. Just as he was standing up, it was a very small girl. She must have been at least a foot and a half shorter than him. He didn't really know the girl, but he remembered her from the villain psychology class. He remembered seeing her sleeping, and he didn't really have an issue with that. People were at the school for various reasons, and he had learned not to judge people by what they did, but what they accomplished at the end. It was not the means but rather the ends that meant to him. As for her inexperience, he wasn't really worried about that. He'd never taken part in one of these training exercises until yesterday so he had nothing to knock on the girl, but he guessed if she was scared enough to stutter and blush in embarrassment then he better reassure her. At least, that's what he thought was the right idea.

"Don't worry about it, Tomoe. Just try ya hardest and you'll do great. You're here for a reason after all." he spoke as friendly as he could. Whilst he wasn't enthusiastic about having a rookie on his team, he was not going to put her down for something that wasn't particularly her fault and he was glad that she had come to him before the training had started. That meant a lot to him, so he wouldn't insult the girls efforts as long as she tried.

"You wanna get your stuff with me? I can give you a lil rundown of what to expect so you're ready." he spoke softly as he began to walk toward the gym.

Ezra had not done much except plan after his initial analysis of the teams. He had thought that he might want to talk to his teammates, but he was fairly sure that Jett was the only only that might listen to him and thus he didn't really feel a need to try to pre-plan and instead focused on individual success at this point. It was at this stage in his thought process that he was interrupted by a teammate, and not the teammate he particularly expected given the situation. He took a minute to look around the room and noticed that several people had already come in. Roy, a girl he did not recognise. The class changed by the day, and that was interesting to him. Perhaps some people couldn't live with being a hero given what had happened yesterday, but that was fine with him. He didn't see an issue with new, fresh competition but it still hampered with his thinking.

Listening to Mina for a second, it seemed she had concerns given what he had already done within the cafeteria. That's fine with him, he'd have concerns if he saw a teammate go crazy over something so insignificant as well, and that wasn't optimal for a team strategy. He figured he'd address them. He had concerns about Mina as well. Whilst he didn't doubt her ability, there was only so far that you could get with flashes of light and hand to hand. There had to be a limit, there was a reason why regular martial artists couldn't become heroes and being a living flashlight didn't change that. Besides that, she'd completely forgotten the purpose of her mission last time to try and chase down Donny underground in a very unfavourable matchup.

"You can have ya doubts about me. I got mine about you, but I don't think I'mma do what I did yesterday. If you want me to be honest with you, we're definitely at a disadvantage with our team and if you haven't seen that yet then my questions about you will be answered." he spoke rather calmly, which would have been unexpected to anyone that was jabbed at like that. He wasn't concerned with his team because he knew he could win by himself, but who would want to see their comrades fail or do everything by themselves every time. That wouldn't be fun.

After what was an awkward series of events regarding Jett, he had decided to walk out. He hadn't really minded whether he came or not, but it was clear the kid needed a shower and as he didn't feel like going straight to class. He decided that he'd hit the court and get some shots up before deciding to go to class. He didn't feel like doing a full workout nor did he have the time to do so it was natural that he'd go and do what he found optimal.

After a short 30 minute session in which he found the gym empty, he decided to walk back and get ready for school. Seeing that Jett was not there at this point, he had cleaned himself up before putting on his uniform and getting ready to go. He had something to prove this time, given how holding himself back had caused him difficulty in the last piece, and if he had used his quirk he would have found himself on top with ease. He had a chip on his shoulder today for sure.

He had arrived in the class on time, though not early. He had saw that quite a few people were already present, but that was to be expected. Many were excited to attend and were not exactly keen on the idea of attending their second lesson late or even risking that possibility. He wasn't really thinking about that however, he was more so focused on the board and what that had written onto it. He looked for his name after realising that the entire class was present and he found himself on a team with Jett, Mina and Tomoe. He had no idea who Tomoe was, and was all two familiar with the other two given his experiences yesterday.

Who his team were had no conern to him. He could carry anybody to a victory in his mind, and he didn't see a problem with Mina. Jett was stubborn and often quite stupid but he figured he could find use with him regardless. Tomoe, given that he had no idea didn't really interest him, so he figured he'd just ignore it for now. If she wanted to speak to him, she was more than welcome to and he'd happily get acquainted but he didn't really know anything about the new students coming in late due to whatever reasons they might have had.

He figured he'd analyse the teams. He found himself looking at Team Beta next. Mamoru, Dulga, Kaida, Yukari. This was not a bad team. Although 3 of the students he hadn't see perform, Yukari and Dulga were very smart and capable fighters, especially from what he witnessed in the villain psychology classroom. His one on one spar with Yukari, although awkward showcased her strengths and whilst he wasn't that much of a believer, she showed admirable use of equipment and environment but given the spars length he wasn't able to find out more.

Team Charlie. An interesting lineup in his mind, and definitely the wildcard. Roy was the only one he had witnessed and whilst he was definitely miles above him at the moment, he could definitely see this as a step to prove himself. He was a very quick learner and any doubts about his work ethic yesterday were dispelled. The rest, given that he had not seen, he didn't have a clue about. He didn't even know who they were, but perhaps they would show him something.

Team Delta looked very standout to him. Two very high performers from the last test were on there, along with someone he sensed veteran skill from. Yoshida had nuclear athleticism, and extreme speed and strength to compliment his ability, and Fumika had a very high intellect and awareness of how and when to use her abilities as well as the ability to project that girl from what he saw in the tape. Chiwa was someone again he had no idea about, but he couldn't see this squad not performing, given that Kenichi and Fumi were praised for their co-cooperativeness in some sense.

Team Echo. This team looked the most versatile. They held the air with Acion and the underground with Donny. This team would be excellent if the two students he didn't have a measure of ability for were able to perform. Luelle looked small and talented, but he had no idea who Haruka was or what she could do. Most of the teams so far were question marks, and that somewhat annoyed him because he couldn't plan in advance, but he liked the idea they had no idea about his ability or level of skill either. He merely sat back on his chair and put his hands behind his back, thinking.

Inari had set off on her journey that day. Her experiences had been interesting, and it was her first time outside of clearbrook village in quite a while, as she was used to the confines of the town. She welcomed the new experience wholeheartedly however, as it was everything she imagined and more. Seeing all the trainers with their Pokemon, seeing the roads, the open fields, the grass, the air. Everything was perfect to her.

The walk to Central City was long and insignificant but definitely not tiring to her. She had saw a lot of trainers on the way, and plenty of Pokemon, but she had a mission and that was to obtain the tools to get her first pokemon. It was a shame that there wasn’t a lab in her small town, but she figured it was part of the experience, and she’d have to try and get one made there one day.

A thought that she had when she was walking was what Pokemon to catch first. She’d thought of catching one around Central City but she had her mind set on catching one back home, as no-one could put up with her better along her journey than somebody who lived right next to her. Such thoughts subsided into happy whistling as she skipped along the path before arriving.

Compared to what she had lived with her entire life, Central City was certainly something to take in. Beautiful old buildings with an even more beautiful history, she found herself in marvel as she observed everything around her, even if she was hurrying to to the lab in order to try and get her equipment and start her journey.

After exiting the lab with with her Pokedex and her first pokeball, she was ecstatic. So much so to the point where she sprinted back to Clearbrook and made it back just around nightfall. To most people, that would have been unthinkable but given the amount of energy she had within her body, it was not. She was simply that happy to get going and find her partner, and she knew where she was going to look, the Clearbrook Mountains.

The ascent was not an issue to her. Even with the icy wind blowing in her face, it was not an issue to her as she ascended like she had before several years ago with her father as if she had lived at the peak. Care was exercised, but she yet again was in wonder about everything, even though this was so close to home. The pokemon, the scenery, freedom just felt so good to her.

After around 30 minutes of exploration however, she had reached the limit of her patience. She wanted to catch a Pokemon and she began to search furiously for what would be her partner. Little did she realize what it would be, a Vulpix. From what she knew, they were a fire type Pokemon that were red in colour, yet she had never seen this before. A ghostly white colour with deep blue eyes, laying down tired in front of her. She doubted the Pokemon even knew she was there. Seeing an opportunity to catch a Pokemon given her inability to battle, she threw the Pokeball with excellent form which went on to hold the Vulpix.
The pokeball ticked. Once. Twice. The suspense for the third was killing her, to the point where she had forgotten to breathe and had fallen backwards, inches away from a very steep fall. It had ticked as she had done that however, and that may have saved the girl's life as she frantically scrambled to pick up the ball with her raw pink hands. She had only just came down from the hill of excitement and to find out what a state she was in was terrible. She had to get down from this mountain or she very well might have become a human popsicle.

Inari hadn’t quite figured out how good of a find she’d caught, but she had went back to the Pokemon center to warm herself up and heal her pokemon. She didn’t know if the Vulpix was unconscious or merely asleep, and wanted to make sure that the healing was done as quickly as possible. It did take some time however, as by the time she had gotten out of the pokemon center with her new catch, it was clearly night time and the stars lit up the sky.

Thinking of no better time to give her companion a name, she figured she’d greet it for the first time.

”Heya! I’m your new trainer! You’re absolutely adorable! My name is Inari by the way!” Inari managed to speak in such an upbeat tone that one would think that the entire scene was scripted. She was merely that happy with herself and her Pokemon. The Vulpix didn’t mind it either as it came closer to her leg and rubbed its head along her. There were clearly no hard feelings.

“I almost forgot, I’m going to name ya, because you’re so special to me! Welcome to my party, Riina.” she spoke as she picked up the Vulpix. She had to say today was good.

Are we going to do it in a collab variety or through normal posts?
I'd like to go on a short mission somewhere near or around Central City (where my character is currently located). I'll be looking for two more members to join me?

@Artymis: You haven't posted yet. So we could meet on the boarder of Central City and Clearbrook in your first post.

@Zanavy: You're in Central City, so it would just be a matter of bumping into one another.

@Darkmoon Angel - You haven't posted yet in this new RP, so you could randomly pop up in Central as well (considering the time skip).

@Zarkun - If you wanted to join, Tommy could venture south a bit and meet up in Clearbrook.

I haven't decided exactly what the mission will be, but it will be simple, a D-Level mission. It'll be perfect for us Beginner trainers.

That sounds like a good idea. I'll see if I can get my post up today and I'll leave it at the border. I've been kind of stuck as it is so that helps a lot.
Heyo guys, sorry for not posting as I've been rather busy with College and babysitting my younger family members. Being as I've got some free time now, I've got some questions given that I'm quite dumb at reading the context within this RP given my track record so far. :(

1. Do we just choose what pokemon we catch at the beginning given the events, or do we have to get that approved from a mod?

2. With the GMing, is it continuous or is it more like only a response if we're talking to a NPC or participating in something rather than re-affirming an event that has been created by us e.g a Pokemon capture.
Ezra

Ezra was quite confused by that. He'd not seen the girl the entire day, and had no idea she'd existed prior to this point, but he wasn't complaining. For someone to be that small, and still be competitive among the best heroes, he gave her dues of respect, as she clearly had to be talented. As he thought this, the cute girl from earlier had delivered his cake and he dug in as he listened intently to the girl, who seemed to want to be friends with him. It was an awfully short process, so he had no idea as to why she wanted to be friends, but perhaps she was just being formal.

It was at this stage that she asked him what year he was in. He hadn't been asked that in a while, but given that this was a hero school, he guess it wasn't really something that was still prominent. He must have looked older for her to ask him that, given that she looked on the younger side. He figured he had no adverseness to telling her as he swallowed his cake.

"I'm good, but thanks Michiko. You're too nce to us brutes. I'm in my first year too. Funny how things turn out, huh. So how you found school so far?" he spoke with a smile as he ate some more cake. He was definitely enjoying it, and saw no problems rewarding himself after all his training today.
