Call me: Asuras

I play: Anything. Mostly women.

I have a long history of GM'ing, perhaps even more than playing. I like art, and I commission a lot. D&D is my life right now.

I've added the next GM post.

Unfortunately I've decided to remove @ianzerep from the roleplay due to missing the deadline a second time. If @Click This would like to apply he may do so, otherwise I'll be moving to Raijinslayer to fill the spot.

Since we're a smaller group now and split up in reasonable parties, I've decided to utilize a collab post for each. I'm home all day every day due to this pandemic, so I'll be quick to add to collab posts. Links below:

I'm also adding these to the first OOC post for ease of access.
Chariot considered the team's final notes for clapping her hands.

"I want to say, too, that since we're just meeting up and putting in work already, we don't know all that much about each other's leadership skills," she said before rubbing the back of her head. "I might be suggesting this course of action, but i'm not... you know, assuming control or anything. We'll figure out that kind of thing later, I imagine, but if you're all fine with it, then let's get going!" she said cheerily. Chariot retrieved her short sword from the sling on her back and gave it a little wiggle in her hands.

"Feral, Strix, and Dragoon will search up to the top of the building before scouting from there. Vlad, Thrones, Mule and I will move up to the end of the street, and hold position there until the scouting team gets back down and to us. Alright, keep in touch of cour- wait," Chariot paused. She lifted a hand to her ear, prodding at what appeared to be nothing.

"Do we have any kind of communication device?" she asked to the group as a whole. Diver's voice picked up in their senses once more, preceded by a fumbling sound.

"Oh, ah... Just on moment, sorry!" she said. There was some quick, indistinguishable murmuring through the telepathic line, likely Diver conversing with the two scientists. Eventually she returned to the microphone. "Sorry about that. Setting up this simulation was actually on quite the short schedule. You should receive some communication devices any moment now."

Sure enough, a small white, nondescript table materialized in a blocky wave before them, with tiny devices laid out around its edges. One for each of them. Chariot picked one up and found that it stuck to her ear with ease, despite having no hooks or tape to it. She fixed it a little more comfortably, and pressing on the obvious green light on its surface opened up communications that could be clearly heard to the rest of the team.

"Alright, that's settled. Again, keep in touch if anything crops up!" she exclaimed. Chariot took a step towards the end of the street they were headed for, two commercial blocks down the way, and waited for the two Defenders to take charge.

I've got one person who already inquired about being on waitlist, I just hadn't updated the first post with it. I can put you on said waitlist if you'd like?
You assume they're going for a democracy?

But an army of peasants with guns will be much more capable than an army of peasants with bows. It might not be indomitable, but it'll at least fare better when they don't first have to worry if they can even use the thing effectively, forget if a wizard will block their shots.

But also peasantry will always be more numerous than the rich or powerful. I'll laugh if there's enough wizards to totally invalidate an army of peasants.

Especially considering usually armies of peasants don't rise up when it's only the lowest of the low that are angry. Gotta get that middle class in there, where I assume the vast majority of your easily-deployed and numerous wizards will be.
I'd presume that there are also projectile weaponry enchanted to go 'anti-protection against projectiles' then. Or there's a certainly amount of force that 'protection against projectiles' can deflect, with anything above that just ripping through.

Otherwise any joe-shmoe wizard would invalidate high-tier archers.
Go with a crossbow that has an enchanted string which maintains the exact same tensile strength, but it is weak in the hands of a wielder, that way pulling the string into a ready position is effortless but it still fires just as powerful as an unenchanted crossbow.

[Somewhat] rapid fire!
