Current First post after nearly a month of inactivity. Here's hoping I can get back into a good post routine before long.

Managed to burn both my thumbs and index fingers pulling a tray of cookies out of the oven. I trusted you, oven mitts, and you betrayed me.

Thanks to having to move earlier this year, I finally get to experience snow for the first time since my early childhood. It's absolutely wonderful :)

RP’s that amass a good player base and have a good start only to suddenly die are why I have trust issues.

Grumble grumble had to add an avatar so I could edit my bio, how dare Roleplayer Guild force me to search for an image of something I like.

@KoL

Thanks. *takes bite* Oatmeal raisin?! DAMN IT KOL I TRUSTED YOU!!!
@TheWindel@KoL

I know, I'm weird and definitely the minority, but I'll take a CP or CTF over TDM any day. I like having to plan out and strategize having more thought put into actions so that a victory feels earned. While there are a lot of kinks and issues trying something like this in an RP format (as we've already seen in the past) I'm willing to keep trying and experimenting if others are.

As for the PS, I don't usually say much only because 90% of the time I'm at work when discussions such as this pop up and it's hard to write anything quickly enough to really participate. Like right now it's taken me over 30 minutes to get this reply out, not to mention I don't have access to Discord here either. So by the time I get home or have a break, the topic is either resolved or dropped and I ain't gonna stir any pots or reopen wounds around here.
(Replying before you can thus denying you a quad post.)

This also means that battles with special "minigame" like conditions can become a thing once again, just like the two of you said you would like to try. The single biggest issue with this was that, invariably, whatever side I was in would have a disproportionately large chance of winning, because... I'll be frank on this one, no one reads the rules and plays by them seriously.

Now that I won't be on anyone's side, no one can blame me for going straight to the objective and making the battle "unfun". So, I already have a few ideas of what can be done in the next conflict.

While I am sorry that you've had to bench yourself, I'm actually very happy objectives might be returning. I really liked the more objective based battles as they added more variety and challenge rather than "just kill each other". It also makes it so characters not strictly combat oriented can be viable again (maybe).

like the armies everyone always forget that come with each faction to the battlefield,

Meanwhile at the faction drops points:

"Got any 2's?"
"Go fish. Got any 7's?"
"Uh...HEY is that the commander finally giving us orders?"
"Ha ha real funny, Brian. Now hand them over."
<Snipped quote by The 42nd Gecko>

There'll be other effects at work, that's for sure.

Massive indigestion for starters.
@The 42nd Gecko

Actually, back when I thought submissions had potential, I was going to have Omega look into that fact. See if there was a supply chain being rerouted or someone supplying them under the table.
@The 42nd Gecko

True. I might have gotten too distracted with what's going on in the big fight. I'll go back and reread a few things and see if I should have Wolf change targets.
@Awesomoman64 Aw man... Didja have to bring Wolf? You said you were bringing Omega. :/

Pink's magic can't even hurt Machina, why you have to shut the poor woof down?

Go stop Victoire, her magic is actually dangerous to the Machina. :P

No. That was just a bit I did. You didn't bring Cydone either.

I mean, he still might. He's just going off a judgment call of heading to the most powerful magic source in the area. If someone where to tell him otherwise though he'd be more inclined to go for the roses.
How I imagine Wolf teaching Alexi went:

Wolf

Explaining to Alexi what elevators were and how they worked took much longer than Wolf expected, and thus his arrival was later than most of the other Machina. Finally setting foot in the graveyard, Wolf immediately noticed the huge spike of holy magic coming from the center. Had someone already gone all out this early into the battle? What would cause someone to...Oh...Henry was over there. Never mind.

Though the large amount of holy magic would no doubt require his attention, he still needed to get an idea of the battlefield. Holding his position for a moment, Wolf closed his eyes and let reached out to every inch of the area. There were a few other holy essences next to the initial spike, and seeing as Henry was there, it was safe to assume his fellow Machina were not far behind. As for the demons, they all seemed to be hiding underground, probably hoping for everyone above to weaken each other then let the roses that were crawling across the field to finish off who’s left. Cowardice but clever. Last but not least were the dozens of faint essences that dotted the graveyard coming from the undead. Not an immediate threat but something to consider still.

Opening his eyes Wolf began moving toward the center. Switching on his comms he informed his allies of his intentions. “This is Inquisitor Wolf. I am advancing on the angel forces now. Once in range I will try to disrupt whatever that massive source of magic is.”

Balrog

Stepping through the hell portal, Balrog took a deep breath of the chilled air around him. It had been too long since the colossal demon had done battle, and it was time to remedy that. Seeing the trail of roses leading down into the catacombs, Balrog assumed his allies had gone below. While he would normally follow, he was too large to fit in the narrow halls. No matter, he prefered the direct route anyway.

After hearing what sounded like a dragon roar, Balrog knew he had to get in on whatever was going on in the middle. Turning his thrusters on full blast, Balrog charged straight toward the main battle smashing a number of tombstones along the way. It would be hard for anyone to miss the giant mesh of flesh and metal barreling down on those already fighting.
