Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Semi-Finals Round 2 !!

The time had come. The last round of the semi-finals were about to begin. Nico Renzo (aka Eclipse) versus Angela Peirs (aka Angel), despite gender differences, the two were remarkably well matched. What Eclipse perhaps had over Angel in technique and natural ability, Angel more than made up for in grit and talents of her own.

In either case, one of them would be going on to face Bakuto, and it would be the battle of the century. Speed vs Strength. Willpower vs Training. Hair vs No Hair.

Trumpets sounded, signaling for the two fighters to emerge from the holding building. They walked out side by side and took their places across from one another. The crowd's cheering softened as everyone listened for the gong, to signal the beginning of the match.

Yes, only one.
Penultimate fight, surely? Niko VS Angela, then one of them VS Bakuto.

Yup, and the first time we've PvP battled.
Okay @FalloutJack@Darkmoon Angel,

If you two want to post a reactionary post or reply to Bakuto interacting with your characters, you may do so. I will begin our last fight either tomorrow morning, if you both respond tonight, or Monday night at the latest.
More data needed, I think. We've achieved an extreme result only. MIGHT wanna find a smaller percentage.

Exactly, well, I do think that doubling is the right route, as it is alarming how quickly things could get out of hand if you don't reply soon enough. But yes, a lower percentage would work.

From now on, the percentage for being over a day late is 5%, and it doubles from there. We'll see how that goes.

Thanks!
Nevertheless, I droppeth the F-Bomb for how that turned out.

So what do you think about the "Reaction Time" rule? Too harsh? Should it go back to only increasing by 10% every turn, or is doubling at this current rate fair?
I made my post as exciting as possible, but yes, that was over fast. lol

At least Bakuto had to loose 72% of his own health in the process. Still a close fight if you look at if that way. After Bakuto's reactionary/reflective post, we will continue.

Semi-Finals Round 1 !!

Lee watched Bakuto's movement's with a careful eye. The afterimage technique, he did this last time. Surely his opponent wouldn't attack in the same spot though, even if that's what appeared to be happening. Going with his gut, he instead struck out at where he would attack from, if he had that kind of speed to work with. But...

He was wrong. He was off by nearly an entire body's length. If it weren't for the aura around his attack, it wouldn't have dealt any damage at all. He could see this mistake happening, as Bakuto appeared to the right of his attack, but there was little he could do to change his approach now, he'd already put to much into it.

And so, Bakuto's assault began. Fighting through the aura of Lee's attack like a strong wind (but nothing more), he landed his first attack exactly where it was intended. But Lee wasn't going down that easily, he was a solid man. That one attack wouldn't be enough, but he was already there. All of Lee's momentum was going in one direction. So, in that split second, with Lee practically defenseless, Bakuto launched hundreds of attacks to as many of Lee's vitals as possible.

Bakuto took more damage than he even realized. He slid to a stop, and a loud thunder like crack sounded throughout the arena. The crowd watched in awe, trying to understand what just happened. Lee then fell forward, eyes out of focus. He was out cold.
Oops. I let time get away from me. You're going to get a big boost to damage soon. Also, to discourage slow posting more it's not just 10% added per day of late posting. Every day the boost doubles, starting at 10%.

So right now, as long as I post today, my post is coming in 4 days after yours. That's 3 days of "delayed reaction". Meaning you'll get a 40% boost to damage. If for some reason I waited one more day, it would be an 80% boost to damage. I can't let that happen. Lol
May 28th, Okavo Delta, River Side

It was the time of their lives, whether they knew it or not. Traveling with acquaintances that would one day become their best of friends, and seeing the world from above, flying upon the backs of Pokemon, it was a time they would never forget. If they did forget, it would still influence their actions for many decades to come.

It was 1:00pm by the time they reached Zanna Town, the small town atop the tallest mountain in West Septoh. The stone streets, the familiar buildings, the library built around the great tree, all these places brought back memories for Indigo.

He drew in a deep breath on the back of the Drampa, seeing Zanna Town once again. It was an old and small town, but loaded with culture and beauty and mystery. He remembered how he had felt first entering Zanna, being unimpressed and bored by it all. But so much had happened here. Who would have thought? He sighed.

Despite the memories, they all needed to keep moving. There was nothing left for them here. They had a mission to reach the next town, and they wanted to get there before the day ended. Hence the reason why they ended up at the stables on the south side of the town. The stables were made of mismatched wood from the mountain forests around Zanna Town. Inside the stables they found one employee, four Bouffalant, and one Blitzle.

Struck by Blitzle's electric beauty, Indigo asked if he could ride the Pokemon.

The stable worker smiled, "Of course. I wish I had enough Blitzle for all of you, but they are usually the first to be rented, due to their speed. But personally I like the comfortable ride Bouffalant provide, what with their thick fur and all."

"Works for me." Jill mused, happily patting the Pokemon's dark brown hair.

Jack only shrugged, pretending not to be jealous of Indigo's quick choice. Fitting that the faster to ask trainer would get the faster Pokemon, he thought. Had he spoken up two seconds sooner, he would have picked the Blitzle.

And so, they were off. They said goodbye to the city frozen in time, and started their way down the mountain. It was steep decent down the rocky mountain side, but their rented Pokemon were well equipped for the ride. They made it to the foot of the mountain in about thirty minutes. Before them, the Okavu Delta stretched out for miles in all directions, and they could make out movement on the horizon. There were definitely Pokemon out there...
