I actually had it as Orkish as that's the way I prefer it but I was thinking that's the Fantasy spelling rather than the 40K spelling. Got it back asswards.

My concept for him is basically someone slowly turning toward Chaos for mostly good reasons. Probably Tzeentch as he's planning how to do things differently to spare needless deaths, get better results, and maybe get remembered in the history books.

In any Lovecrafty flavored story there is always a non-zero chance everyone is fucked and the world will soon end. It's not always a high likelihood but it is never zero chance.

What shows/movies are you watching?

Thor 4 looks like basically Guardians The Spin-off but I'll still likely see it eventually. Just not in theaters. I don't think there's been a Marvel film I wanted to see since End Game, although I did see Shang Chi in theaters.

I want to see that western with Gina Carano. I listened to her Joe Rogan interview and it seems like she was pretty psyched to make it. Plus Cerrone, so yeah I wanna see that.

Old and Unsatisfied

As I toil away at numbers and figures my hands look like someone else's. These are the hands of an old man. The hands of someone fit to do little more than pull at a blanket and shake involuntarily. Where has the strength gone? Where are the veins near to bursting through the skin. The hard calloused knuckles. The cracked fingernails, dirt and blood still worked in deep, almost impossible to keep clean. What are these thin pink appendages growing from them? They cannot be my fingers. They are too small. Too soft. Too clean.

These cannot be the hands that waved along reinforcements as I ducked under the wild fire of Orcish hordes gibbering at the moon as they rushed our encampments. Certainly these hands could never choke the life out of a traitor. They're not fit to scrabble up embankments, to dig and scratch at the dirt furiously that I might find some meager cover. These hands look inexperienced. Surely they've never been coated in the blood of my brothers, holding flaps of skin against leaking innards while we wait for medical evacuation. These dainty little hands have never dutifully closed the eyes of a fellow Guardsman for the final time. They've never signaled a firing line to execute deserters.

Each night stretches on, the minutes ticking by at a snail's pace yet somehow the hours rushing. I need to rest. I am not the man I once was. I no longer rise with a start from my bed and hurry on my way to make the Emperor's will manifest. These days the rising is a process all it's own, particularly on the nights when I have been unable to find myself the release of slumber. Those nights grow more and more common.

I lay in bed or recline behind my desk and ponder where I have failed that the Emperor deems I must continue on. I have done so much and ventured so far but still my work is not done.

That makes me want to try it, but I might be spoiled from having MHW be my first MH game.

MHW was amazing.

I would probably have liked Rise but I dont really like the zip around bug thing idea. Like I'm sure I would come to like it, but I don't really need to be spending the kind of time I'd probably spend playing that game if i got it.

I really like Switches, but man, having it on PC is something. I've gotta upgrade mine at some point relatively soon, but I've been using a laptop that was $500 when I got it. It's selling for $800 now.

If you've got that kind of money to spare keep an eye out around Black Friday.

If you already adore MH games I'd say just go for the full package. You can jam through base game pretty quickly, i would guess as thats how it worked with my second MHW playthrough, if you still know how to play whatever weapon(s) you usually use. You'll be ready for the DLC before you know it and happy you have it ready to go.

If you like them but don't usually 100% them just go for the regular package. You can still spend a decent amount of time ironing out getting all the upgrades for the weapons and gear you like, particularly if you take your time or try out some new weapons you haven't used before or maybe kinda liked in MHW but didn't Main. Plus by the time you're ready for the DLC there might be some teases for MHW 2.

I am so goddam ready for MHW 2.
