I was not... in the right place emotionally and mentally. Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for unintentionally ghosting the rps I'm in. I'm working a lot to become a better person now.
@Simple Unicycle can’t be helped ‘cause usually the new person is the town’s farmer or the farmer itself :P If you do plan on making the newbie a farmer, maybe I can live as your neighbor and grow my orchard next to the main farm? So we can be farm buddies (is that even a thing)? Ooo why be farm buddies when we can be...
farmmies? You know, like dormmies and roommies? :D
@MissCapnCrunch I was about to choose the 6 until I saw the legend and realized I unknowingly took a liking to the morgue XD
@Simple Unicycle Oh no need for that! The wine steward on the PSP version had a smaller private farm separate from the main farm where s/he grows his/her grape orchard. It is just a small town and I think I don’t need a very large area for the grapes, I can just plant the grapes on my frontyard or something like that :)
Ooooooo... Can I still join? I only knew Harvest Moon because me and my cousins played it when PSPs were still a thing.
Also in the PSP version, there's someone who grows grapes and was very knowledgeable about wine (I forgot if that person actually sells wine). Is it possible to add wine steward as another role? If so, I'd love to take that! If not, then I'll just be a cafe owner instead ^u^
Sunny gasped, wide-eyed, as she heard what Dominique had whispered to her. Anybody who is not blind can definitely see her blush now. She shoot evil glares at her, imagining herself shooting lasers at the French girl as Dominique was going out into the pools. She remembered that they have combat training today and mentally laughed evilly. Prepare yourself, woman. Humanda ka sakin. But right now, I need a tactical retreat, she thought to herself. Feeling embarrassed in front of a boy she likes was definitely a new thing for her 'cause usually it's the other way around during her missions. Even though she's mortified at the moment, she can't help but feel excited and giddy about it.
She cleared her throat. "I, uh, I must excuse myself. No, please excuse me for I m- well I need to escape- go back, yes. I need to go back to my room to... take a shower. Yep that's what I'll do, I'm totally not nervous about Shiro- anything or anyone. Just... casually going back upstairs to get ready for school. Hehehe", she stammered. She threw her banana peel and drank some water before going back upstairs while mentally slapping herself in the face for being an idiot.
Once there, Sunny closed the door and the windows before throwing her clothes all over the floor and get her things for bath time. Sunny was about to turn on the water when she felt the sudden call of nature. She felt relieved that she's able to poop before going to school. Pooping at the school itself creates a lot of anxiety for her because for some reason, she feels embarrassed when there are people around while she does "the thing". It's also hassle-free as she might miss some lessons or important announcements from her teachers while she's in the comfort room
After doing "the thing" and making sure the smell is gone, she played music on her cellphone and placed it at the counter as she started showering. She would use her shampoo container as a microphone as she lip-syncs with her music while dancing like a lunatic. Sunny always felt that the bathroom is the only place for her to be herself without anyone judging her (of course you are alone in your own bathroom but still). It's a good thing the girls don't share a bathroom because they will absolutely think that she's on drugs when they're all taking a shower at the same time. She's pretty wild that way.
She turned the water off and picked her towel to wipe herself dry after she felt squeaky clean and refreshed from the relaxing shower. She brushed her teeth while her music still continued to play, pausing at some moments when the chorus came in as she used her toothbrush as a microphone instead to lip-sync again. She was wondering if she will put on make-up today as she gargled and wiped her mouth before wrapping her towel around her. It is pretty important to create a good first impression especially for school. On the other hand, whatever you look at it, it is still school so it's almost unnecessary for a student to put make-up on in the first place. She continued to ponder about this as she blow-dried her hair and sat at her bed. Only when she felt that her hair was dry that she laid in bed.
While staring at the ceiling, Sunny also can't help but think about her classmates. Each of them are unique in their own ways and all of them are pretty interesting. She's excited about getting to know her dorm-mates better as time goes by because all the members of the Lakambini are much older than her and this is her first time living with people her age. Sunny's definitely excited in spending time with Shiro more often and is also looking forward on spending time with the others as well. Speaking of Shiro, the others would definitely notice she took a liking to the Japanese boy. She thought about this and decided to set aside her crush for him until she knew the person better. If there's one thing she learned from her missions is that there's more to something that meets the eye.
"And Shiro is definitely pleasing to the eye", Sunny said outloud to herself. "Devin and Jackson seem pretty cute too. I think my tricks won't work on them or on everyone in this dorm for that matter. Seems like this is the perfect opportunity to experiment", she said as she smiled mischievously.
She looked at the clock on her cellphone. Realizing she still has some time, she decided to lay in bed and stare at the ceiling some more to reflect and take a breather from talking with the others. Sunny never knew a social butterfly like her would feel anxiety from meeting and talking with new people until now. This year is definitely full of firsts for her.
Soul Manipulation = Naomi has the ability to freely manipulate her own soul. She can release her soul in the form of energy blasts that can affect the physical body of the target as well as its own soul. Additionally, Naomi can incorporate her spiritual energy in her physical attacks which she mostly uses offensively against her enemies. When a spiritual energy in the form of a beam or in her physical attacks hits a target, effects may vary:
+ If target is a human = it will be affected both physically and spiritually, meaning the target will become more fatigued the more it is hit by her attacks in addition to feeling physical pain.
+ If target is an entity/deity/spirit/pure force of nature = target will be affected spiritually of course, but instead of being more fatigued it will experience pain.
Yokai-Crafted Seimei Umbrella = The various yokai who took her in and guarded her when she was lost in the woods made her this umbrella as a parting gift. Although she is adept at releasing spiritual attacks on her own, like magicians with their staves, Naomi uses a seimei umbrella that helps her focus her spiritual attacks and make them more precise. It is bound to her and will always reappear near her even when it is lost, broken, or stolen. She can use the umbrella as a mode of transportation similar to Mary Poppins, teleport to its location when far from her, and control it telepathically to fight with her.
Exorcism = Naomi can exorcise spirits from humans and other objects. Performing an exorcism in daylight with the sun shining makes the process easier for her.
+ Her parents made sure to train her in various martial arts as a way of protecting herself from enemies and other malevolent souls and demons. She is also very flexible and quick on her feet, a result of her continuous gymnastics training that started during her childhood.
+ Naomi can see and talk to yokai and any other types of spirits.
+ She developed an uncanny ability to persuade others much like her namesake, Kitsune, which are quite infamous for tricking mortals. Her version of persuasion deals directly to her target's emotions as she became more of an empath as time went by.
Weaknesses: + Naomi is in grave danger when in combat with a demon or another tainted spirit warrior as she has a great chance of being tainted herself. If she does become tainted, she can only be purified when bathed in cherry blossom oil, by a priest or another pure soul, or by being basked in natural sunlight.
+ As much as she is skilled in martial arts, she may have a hard time when battling against an enemy that has a greater physique than her.
+ Naomi cannot revert from Physical to Spiritual Mode and vice versa if she is cursed by a more powerful magician or is unconscious. The more she stays in Spirit Mode, the more fatigue she will feel once she changes back into Physical Mode. To compensate, she has to sleep and eat a lot.
+ Her spiritual attacks are ineffective against soulless beings.
Appearance:
Character Evolution: Naomi is pretty interested about having a boyfriend. She joined the Justice League because her father is one of Superman's many fanboys and she wanted to follow in her father's idol's steps. Though her parents are very skeptical of her joining the League with her mother being completely against it, Naomi's mom saw so much compassion in her daughter that it moved her to agree so long as she comes home before dinner. I think it would be an great place for her to learn from her other mature teammate's perspective and grow as a person. Naomi also thinks that having superhero friends would be super cool.
Altered History: Naomi has developed her powers as time went by. She has just finished college and is now presently working at a tech company. She also has a younger brother named Jin who, by some reason, seems to also have the ability to see and interact with spirits even at his age. Even though she's a member of the League for quite some time, she admits she still has a lot to learn before she can truly say she's a well-rounded heroine.

BRIEF Bio: Back when she was a little girl, Naomi was lost in a forest and went completely off the radar for six days during a camping trip with her class. Little did they know that little Naomi accidentally discovered an entrance to the spirit world. Various yokai contemplated on what to do with the child as no human has ever entered the spirit world in centuries with some of them even suggested on killing her to prevent her from spreading the information regarding a portal to their realm. But they were baffled because where other humans would run in fear and hunt them down, Naomi was just filled with curiosity and excitement towards their weird but unique looks. What really changed their minds, however, is that they all sensed her pure heart as no matter how Naomi was bullied and left alone, she will always treat others with kindness and never let them affect her.
The yokai celebrated for the arrival of a very rare pure-hearted human and took her in as one of their own. But they sensed that the longer she stayed, the more she loses her humanity and becomes one of them. Most of all, she began to feel very homesick, deeply missing her parents. Also sensing the various humans who were looking for her, including her parents, they decided to bade farewell to her: they all gave her the blessing of the spirits and named her Yokai Princess, making her every spirit's friend and ally. They returned her on the seventh day, where the authorities found her peacefully sleeping under a cherry blossom tree with a seimei umbrella beside her. Naomi's parents tearfully hugged her and returned home, but much to Naomi's parents' surprise, the umbrella was waiting for them in her bedroom, along with a bowl of goldfishes they never had before.
No matter what they do, the umbrella always reappears near Naomi. Because of this, they concluded that a malicious yokai might have possessed the umbrella or worse their own daughter. Sensing the right time, the two goldfishes leaped out of their bowl and transformed into yokai themselves. After hysterical screaming and the panicked parents began to calm down, the two spirits began to explain the cause of her disappearance. They also said that they were assigned as her guardians due to her status as their Yokai Princess.
It was a rough start, but Naomi's family began to slowly adapt to their new lifestyle of living in harmony with spirits. A few years later, Naomi's dad received a call from his company: he got promoted and is said to move to their company's branch at Metropolis as soon as he can. He was very exited to move into the base of operations of his idol the Superman himself, but he thought of his daughter's newfound friends at Japan and how they will react. Fortunately, the yokai agreed. Though sad they'll never get to see their beloved princess again, they are happy as long as they know Naomi is happy.
Notes: + She has two modes, Physical and Spirit. In Physical Mode, her hair is black and her eyes coffee-brown. While she retains her physical abilities, she can't release soul-based attacks and her seimei umbrella is as useful to her as any other umbrella (though it will still return to her like normal). In Spirit Mode, her hair becomes pink and her eyes bright yellow, she can release spiritual attacks as well and she has full usage of her umbrella as well.
+ She always releases sakura flowers and petals whenever doing her spiritual attacks, earning her the nickname as the "Maiden of the Sakura"
Sample Post:
(10 years ago, at a small town in Japan)
"...the mystery on how this young mother took the lives of her husband and daughter. Police believed that she was the one who murdered the two as they've arrived at the crime scene finding the woman crying, bathed in blood as she held her daughter's lifeless body and a bloodied knife nearby..."
"...claims that she didn't kill her husband and daughter and instead she was apparently ordered by a demon to commit the heinous crime. Authorities are now looking at the possibility of her being influenced by drugs or she was driven by jealousy and hatred towards the man's mistress..."
"Why do all these news channels show the same damn thing?", exclaimed Roku Yamanaka, Naomi's father, age 30, as he continuously changed the channels on the television. Friday night was supposed to be movie night, but he forgot to rent movies from the store and opt to watch whatever's on television instead. He scratched his head in irritation which was easy with a military cut, his glasses reflecting the same news that he saw on the previous channel.
"Language, honey", said Yahiko Yamanaka, Naomi's mother, age 29, tucking her shoulder-length hair behind her ear. "Naomi might heard you. Besides, this is just a small town and I guess I doesn't help that the incident happened right next door."
Both parents looked at Naomi Yamanaka, age 10, in her Pikachu onesie as she curiously looked through the windows, wondering about the blaring blue and red light that illuminates their living room.
A crowd has begun to form at the Suzumiya residence as they sorrowly watched the authorities bring out the two corpses in body bags and get them in the ambulance. Not long after, Hina Suzumiya with tears falling like waterfall and her once white dress now colored red by the blood of her husband and daughter was being escorted by the police to bring her to jail. Several cameras are snapping and flashing lights as reporters bombarded the woman with questions about the incident. The ambulance and the police car where Hina rode drove off, leaving behind the authorities in charge of knowing the real story behind the murder. They began to surround the house with yellow tape to not let unnecessary people to ruin possible evidences in the crime scene. The crowd began to slowly disperse until the few crime scene investigators are left.
"Mama, what happened to Aunt Hina?", asked Naomi.
Yahiko patted the couch to let Naomi sit between her two parents. Roku rubbed her daughter's back as Yahiko gently finger-combed her daughter's hair. "Honey, Aunt Hina did a very bad thing. And you know people who do bad things are being brought to jail to pay for their crimes", she explained.
"But I don't understand", said Naomi. "She's very kind and sweet. She would even give me extra candy that she brought for Mimiko. Why is she bad?"
"Naomi listen, look at me", said Roku as he gently cupped his daughter's face to look him in the eye. "Yes she is very sweet and kind, but all people have limitations. We don't know if she's secretly harboring something that she never told us about and we'll probably never know it. Don't worry honey, you'll understand it if you get older."
"Okay papa", she said as she yawned and rubbed her eyes. Her parents looked at one another and Roku carried her daughter upstairs to her bedroom to tuck her in. They each kissed Naomi's forehead and bid her goodnight as they closed her door, her two goldfishes resting peacefully in their bowl and her seimei umbrella beside her at bed as she sleeps.
---
"Naomi? Naomi wake up please!"
Naomi rubbed her eyes, irritated that someone would roughly wake her during her sleep, and was shocked to see Aunt Hina in her bedroom.
"W-what are you doing here, Aunt Hina?", asked Naomi.
"Please Naomi, you have to help me. Prove to them that I'm innocent."
"But I don't know how to do tha-"
Just come with me to the house please. Please I'm begging you Naomi, help me clear my name", Hina begged.
Young Naomi, knowing that her aunt would never do such bad things, believed in her aunt and agreed to come with her. She found out that she entered her bedroom through the open window by climbing up the tree next to it and they were both able to come out peacefully. Mimiko and Naomi had fond memories about this tree as they would often climb it when they were younger. Now the tree would just be a reminder of their good days together.
They were able to sneak into Hina's house at their backdoor, the full moon giving lighting their way towards it, without the detectives noticing as they were busy taking a break at the front.
"Upstairs, go upstairs", said Hina as she ordered Naomi to follow her upstairs and led her to Mimiko's bedroom. Naomi was shocked to see the carpet, the bed sheets, and even the walls all covered by blood.
"W-what a-are we d-d-doing here, Aunt Hina?", stammered Naomi.
"Did you know what happened in this room, Naomi?", asked Hina with her back against the little girl, her voice once filled with panic is now replaced by unnerving calmness. "This is where I killed my beloved husband and my lovely daughter. Oh, their screams would fill me with pleasure and their agonizing faces... so delightful!".
"A-Auntie? What do y-you mean?", asked Naomi as she slowly backed away from her aunt towards the door.
Hina laughed. "Silly little girl, it means...", she said. A moment of silence went by. Then her bones suddenly snapped, limbs and neck elongating, her nails growing like talons, and her skin turning into the color of ash. She turned her head at a 180 degree revealing a hideous face with mouth full of sharp teeth and blank white eyes. "YOU'RE NEXT!"
Naomi's screamed at the top of her lungs, so loud that it woke her parents next door. Her parents quickly went to her bedroom and when they didn't find her there, they went outside only to see the detectives rush into the house where they heard the scream.
"Woah there, you can't go in! Wait here outside!", said one of the detectives as he blocked Naomi's parents.
"Let us through goddamit, our daughter's in there! You can't expect us to just sit by and wait here while her life's in trouble!", shouted Roku.
"Please understand sir, you cannot go in. This is a-", the detective was cut out by Naomi's scream. Suddenly, an officer crashed through the window and fell to the ground, moaning in pain but thankfully still alive.
Upon seeing this, Naomi's parents pushed the police away and went inside the house, screaming Naomi's name again and again. When they got upstairs and went inside the bedroom, they were dragged down by an invisible force like the rest of the detectives who went inside.
"A-aunt Hina- no", Naomi said, her eyes full of tears and her throat hurt from the screams that she made. She knew this presence well enough. It is just the same as the presence of the yokai who brought her in the spirit world when she was lost in a forest, only this particular presence is purely foul and malignant. "You're not Auntie Hina anymore! Where is she and what did you do to her, bad demon?!", she screamed defiantly.
The demon laughed. When it talked, its blood-curling voice would send shivers to everyone present within the room. "How pitiful! I used her jealousy towards her husband's mistress to fool her to inhabit her body in exchange for his love. Like the mortal that she is, she agreed! Her husband loved dearly even than before while I inhabited her body, slowly eating at her life force.
Then I found out that you, the mortal who's been blessed by pure yokai, just lived right next door! So I did the only logical thing to do: I killed her husband and her daughter. Poor Hina could only watch as I control her body, killing her family while I laugh in delight. I turned myself into the police and once we were at a distance, I killed the police who were with me by the car. Then I walked myself and entered your house and the rest is bloody history", the demon finished with a grin.
The polices and Naomi's parents were shocked and horrified as they hear the demon's story. Some were crying while Yahiko could only cry at shout at the demon for doing that as they are still unable to move.
Naomi, however, was surprisingly calm. She sniffed and wiped the last of her tears away, her puffy eyes now angry at the demon.
The demon leered. "What's this? A rat trying to intimidate a lion? Why aren't you scared, Yokai Princess", it sneered.
"Because I'm simply not afraid", said Naomi, her fear now being replaced by rage at the demon. "You will pay for what you did to Auntie Hina!". She began to glow, enveloping the room with golden light, as the demon would scream and hiss and pain. When the light subsided, Naomi was now floating a few feet above, her black hair turned into pink and her brown eyes became yellow.
The demon roared in rage and attacked, its sharp claws ready to slice her throat, when Naomi's seimei umbrella appeared out of nowhere to intercept the demon's attack. Then two other spirits formed out of thin air to attack the demon. These spirits took the form of Naomi's goldfishes as her guardian to protect her against evil. The demon continued to roar and attack the two spirits. It is clearly more powerful than the two, but defeating it is not their purpose.
Seimei umbrella floating beside her, Naomi closed her eyes and chanted, her voice growing louder and louder in volume:
"O all beings of pure soul, hear me! O noble Amaterasu, herald of the new dawn, hear me! O all gods of the blessed heaven, hear me! Let all those of hearts with evil begone and leave this land! Let not despair win and may hope stand in triumph! Let those who seek evil and delight in its entrails be punished by the holy light!"
Coincidentally, the sun began to rise in the east, bathing the world in the color of sunrise.
"And let all the sins of those who are lost be forgiven and let be", she said as a single tear falls on her cheeks. Meanwhile, the demon would began to writhe in pain as the sun's rays powered by Naomi's exorcism bathed it, the two orbs of light surrounding it.
Naomi opened her eyes and pointed at the demon. "Let the light of the new dawn burn your wretched heart into the ashes of the disgraced! Begone!". Naomi finished her chant as the demon began to burn until it disintegrated into dust and blown away by the wind, leaving behind the frail body of Hina Suzumiya. The orbs of light caught her as she dropped to the ground and gently laid her at Mimiko's bed. The police and Naomi's parents now stood up as soon as they realized they can move. Roku began to approach Naomi but was held back by Yahiko, gesturing him and the others to wait.
Naomi floated to her aunt's side. Her body was clearly weakened, the result of the demon's continuous feeding of her lifeforce. Hina weakly reached out to Naomi and she held her aunt's bony hand and put it to her face.
"I-I know I did a grave mistake, Naomi. Because of me, my husband and daughter are dead", she said weakly as she cried. "I killed them, I killed them! Oh I hope they can still forgive me after all I've done".
Naomi was about to say something when she saw something at the corner of the room. "Well Auntie Hina if you really want to know, why won't you ask them yourself?", she said as she pointed at the corner and Hina's eyes widened in surprise.
Her husband and their daughter Mimiko are standing at the corner, smiling serenely at them. Hina rose from the bed, her body became healthy and beautiful as it was before the demon inhabited it, and ran to them both. She hugged them and they all fell to their knees, laughing and crying at each other's embrace. No words come out whenever they spoke but Naomi clearly saw Hina's husband tell her that she forgives her and she to him and they kiss, while Mimiko, her childhood bestfriend, looked up to her with bright eyes and said thank you. Naomi replied with a tearful smile as the family began to slowly dissipate into light.
Naomi looked back at Mimiko's bed where Hina's lifeless body lay. Now they can finally live in peace, Naomi thought to herself. Her parents ran and hugged her as her hair turned back to black and her eyes returned to brown. The two orbs of light returned to her house as their mission was finished while the seimei umbrella still remained. The other polices who were there during the exorcism were still in shock while some called for back-up, muttering about the case is as good as solved.
Naomi looked up to her parents. "I wanna go home now. I'm still sleepy", she said as she yawned while her parents laughed and kissed her. They picked up the umbrella and went back home, the sun shining in the horizon.
