I was not... in the right place emotionally and mentally. Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for unintentionally ghosting the rps I'm in. I'm working a lot to become a better person now.
Olivia can’t help but feel something weird about the new guy. He just seems so calm and collected yet exexrting out an aura of energy and confidence. Moreso weird because guys like him are Olivia’s type. Well, were. She admits growing her own grape orchard to support herself as well as spending time with Humphrey, Winda, Claud, and the rest of the townsfolk made her think of finding love as a non-important factor in life. After all, why think of love anyway when you live in a wonderful place filled with wonderful people?
She smiled at Jude’s opinion about the town. "Oh awesome! I'm glad to hear you like the town. Don't worry, everybody here are just so wonderful and before you'll know it, you'll have friends for life. I guarrantee it!", she said enthusiastically.
Just then she saw a bright flash that caught her eye and saw Hope taking a pic of them both. Olivia laughed a little before she replied to Jude's question. "She's Hope Redson, little sister of Wolfgang Redson, the town's blacksmith. They're both cool and awesome people, and I'm really sure you'll like them both", she said.
"Oh yeah almost forgot", she paused as she put her two fingers in her mouth and whistled. Humphrey immediately raised his head and ran to Olivia, barking happily and waggling his tail. Olivia smiled as she petted him and scratched his ear. "Allow me to introduce you to Humphrey! He's a literal bundle of joy and he's everything you could ever want to in a friend. Isn't that right, my sweet widdle boy?", she said as Humphrey laid on his back and Olivia sratched his belly as she laughed wholeheartedly. "C'mon Humphrey stand up! This charming man here is Jude, he'll be our new housemate. Now, shake paw!", she said. Humphrey immediately understood what Olivia meant. He stood back up on all fours, raised his right front paw, and presented it to Jude to shake paws.
Meanwhile, Olivia saw Astrid among the crowd and waved at her to come and welcome the newcomer. She hopes he doesn't mind but she just wants to show how wonderful people really are in this town. She also saw the adorable pair of Wina and Claud clucking their way at Olivia's direction. Looks like they're curious about the newcomer too. I have to introduce them to him next, she thought. @PrinceAlexus@Simple Unicycle@T Risket
Vincent was laying on his bed, staring at the ceiling as he continued to count his jumping sheep. He was trying to get back to sleep because he found out he woke up as the sun rose at the horizon. He didn't know how long was he laying on his bed and trying so hard just to get back to sleep.
"296... 297..."
His family mustn't catch him awake at this time of the day because he knows one of his family members will bug him to join them. His whole family once tricked him into coming with them for their morning jog only to find out they do a series of extreme push-ups, sit-ups, tightrope, and a whole lot more extreme work-out exercises. Unsurprisingly, his whole body ached like there's no tomorrow.
"298... 299..."
He was midly startled at the knocking on his door. His door flew open and his sister greeted him. Rather, screamed at him. "RISE AND SHINE, SLEEPY HEAD! IT'S BEAUTIFUL DAY TODAY! C'MON WAKE UP-", her morning greeting/screaming was interrupted when Vince threw a pillow right at her face.
"Hmm", he grunted as he stared at his sister.
She threw his pillow right back at him. "C'mon little bro, get your pink tush out of your bed! It's the weekend! You should really join us, you know. A little jogging never hurt anybody", she said.
Vince sat up groggily and sleepily rubbed his eye. "Hmm", he grunted before he yawned, still staring hard at her.
His sister sighed. Looks like the same trick won't work at him. She sat next to him and put a hand on his shoulder. "Okay fine. If you don't want to join us then at least keep your promise. You do remember the promise we made to each other right?"
Vince lazily blinked the sleep out of his eyes. He nodded and reached out his arms to hug his sister which she reciprocated. She broke the hug and rubbed his dishelved hair. "Well, I gotta go back to prepping. Can't keep the guys waiting. Just holler if you change your mind, 'kay?", she said before she closed his door and went back to her room.
He stood up, made his bed, and went outside to his balcony as the cool morning breeze greeted him. He looked at up at the sky that's been colored by the hues of the rising sun. Just looking at it made him amazed on how beautiful the world really is. He can only hope he can perfectly describe what he sees right now in his novel.
He also caught a glimpse of something within the clouds. Vince taught it was a bird until he saw it descended and it turned out to be a woman with wings. "It's urgent", she says as she gave him a letter before literally disappearing in a flash.
Vince opened the letter to read the message and suddenly he was sad. He can't leave his family just like that. But he also knows his family wouldn't let him leave until they know more about this stuff. And if what's written in the letter is true, then that means it'll already be too late by the time they did.
Vince quickly retreived his suitcase and packed some of his things that he knew were important, including his phone and laptop. Then he took a shower, dressed up, and wrote a letter for his family and left it at his desk. He knows they know he is a smart boy for his age, and they'll also do whatever they can in their part to get to the bottom of this. He took one last look on his room and his picture with his whole family at his desk. He put his suitcase by his side as he tore the letter and became enveloped with light.
A few moments later, his whole family went upstairs to his bedroom, as a finaly attempt at inviting him to workout, only to find no one there. Instead, a bubble floated in his place where he disappeard. Vincent may never know what kind if emotion this bubble holds, but every member of his family pointed at the bubble at the same time and they knew that it contained love.
Soul Manipulation = Naomi has the ability to freely manipulate her own soul. She can release her soul in the form of energy blasts that can affect the physical body of the target as well as its own soul. Additionally, Naomi can incorporate her spiritual energy in her physical attacks which she mostly uses offensively against her enemies. When a spiritual energy in the form of a beam or in her physical attacks hits a target, effects may vary:
+ If target is a human = it will be affected both physically and spiritually, meaning the target will become more fatigued the more it is hit by her attacks in addition to feeling physical pain.
+ If target is an entity/deity/spirit/pure force of nature = target will be affected spiritually of course, but instead of being more fatigued it will experience pain.
Yokai-Crafted Seimei Umbrella = The various yokai who took her in and guarded her when she was lost in the woods made her this umbrella as a parting gift. Although she is adept at releasing spiritual attacks on her own, like magicians with their staves, Naomi uses a seimei umbrella that helps her focus her spiritual attacks and make them more precise. It is bound to her and will always reappear near her even when it is lost, broken, or stolen. She can use the umbrella as a mode of transportation similar to Mary Poppins, teleport to its location when far from her, and control it telepathically to fight with her.
Exorcism = Naomi can exorcise spirits from humans and other objects. Performing an exorcism in daylight with the sun shining makes the process easier for her.
Soul Tracking = She abandons all five senses as she uses her sixth sense to locate nearby souls in the area. While tracking, each soul has a different color corresponding to their categories: White for pure souls or literally just souls without a human body, Blue for human souls with a physical body, Red for animals, insects, and beasts/monsters, Green for nature spirits like dryads and nymphs, Black for tainted souls and demons, Gold for gods and deities, and any other color aside from the ones mentioned if they are of unknown origin. Something that is innate for her is that she can see and talk to yokai and any other types of spirits.
Physical Prowess = Naomi has been training in various martial arts as well as gymnastics since she was a kid, resulting in her being a very skilled fighter and having fast reflexes to be able to attack and counter her opponents faster than the others.
Empath Persuasion = She developed an uncanny ability to persuade others much like her namesake, Kitsune, which are quite infamous for tricking mortals. Her version of persuasion deals directly to her target's emotions as she became more of an empath as time went by, being able to sift through her target's memories to strengthen her persuasion.
Weaknesses: + Naomi is in grave danger when in combat with a demon or another tainted spirit warrior as she has a great chance of being tainted herself. If she does become tainted, she can only be purified when bathed in cherry blossom oil, by a priest or another pure soul, or by being basked in natural sunlight.
+ As much as she is skilled in martial arts, she may have a hard time when battling against an enemy that has a greater physique than her.
+ Naomi cannot revert from Physical to Spiritual Mode and vice versa if she is cursed by a more powerful magician or is unconscious. The more she stays in Spirit Mode, the more fatigue she will feel once she changes back into Physical Mode. To compensate, she has to sleep and eat a lot.
+ Her spiritual attacks are ineffective against soulless beings as well as her soul tracking for she is unable to see incoming bullets, missiles, robots and other machinery, and the like when she uses it.
+ Naomi must not be disturbed while performing an exorcism. One small mistake will unravel the incantation and completely cancel out the exorcism's effects no matter how far she is in the process.
+ She has teleportation sickness (poor soul).
Appearance:
Character Evolution: Naomi is pretty interested about having a boyfriend. She joined the Justice League because her father is one of Superman's many fanboys and she wanted to follow in her father's idol's steps. Though her parents are very skeptical of her joining the League with her mother being completely against it, Naomi's mom saw so much compassion in her daughter that it moved her to agree so long as she comes home before dinner. I think it would be an great place for her to learn from her other mature teammate's perspective and grow as a person. Naomi also thinks that having superhero friends would be super cool.
Altered History: Naomi has developed her powers as time went by. She has just finished college and is now presently working at a tech company. She also has a younger brother named Jin who, by some reason, seems to also have the ability to see and interact with spirits even at his age and leaving her to think if their talent to see spirits is still a blessing from the yokai or it is something they are born with. Even though she's a member of the League for quite some time, she admits she still has a lot to learn before she can truly say she's a well-rounded heroine.

BRIEF Bio: Back when she was a little girl, Naomi was lost in a forest and went completely off the radar for six days during a camping trip with her class. Little did they know that little Naomi accidentally discovered an entrance to the spirit world. Various yokai contemplated on what to do with the child as no human has ever entered the spirit world in centuries with some of them even suggested on killing her to prevent her from spreading the information regarding a portal to their realm. But they were baffled because where other humans would run in fear and hunt them down, Naomi was just filled with curiosity and excitement towards their weird but unique looks. What really changed their minds, however, is that they all sensed her pure heart as no matter how Naomi was bullied and left alone, she will always treat others with kindness and never let them affect her.
The yokai celebrated for the arrival of a very rare pure-hearted human and took her in as one of their own. But they sensed that the longer she stayed, the more she loses her humanity and becomes one of them. Most of all, she began to feel very homesick, deeply missing her parents. Also sensing the various humans who were looking for her, including her parents, they decided to bade farewell to her: they all gave her the blessing of the spirits and named her Yokai Princess, making her every spirit's friend and ally. They returned her on the seventh day, where the authorities found her peacefully sleeping under a cherry blossom tree with a seimei umbrella beside her. Naomi's parents tearfully hugged her and returned home, but much to Naomi's parents' surprise, the umbrella was waiting for them in her bedroom, along with a bowl of goldfishes they never had before.
No matter what they do, the umbrella always reappears near Naomi. Because of this, they concluded that a malicious yokai might have possessed the umbrella or worse their own daughter. Sensing the right time, the two goldfishes leaped out of their bowl and transformed into yokai themselves. After hysterical screaming and the panicked parents began to calm down, the two spirits began to explain the cause of her disappearance. They also said that they were assigned as her guardians due to her status as their Yokai Princess.
It was a rough start, but Naomi's family began to slowly adapt to their new lifestyle of living in harmony with spirits. A few years later, Naomi's dad received a call from his company: he got promoted and is said to move to their company's branch at Metropolis as soon as he can. He was very exited to move into the base of operations of his idol the Superman himself, but he thought of his daughter's newfound friends at Japan and how they will react. Fortunately, the yokai agreed. Though sad they'll never get to see their beloved princess again, they are happy as long as they know Naomi is happy.
Notes: + She has two modes, Physical and Spirit. In Physical Mode, her hair is black and her eyes coffee-brown. While she retains her physical abilities, she can't release soul-based attacks and her seimei umbrella is as useful to her as any other umbrella (though it will still return to her like normal). In Spirit Mode, her hair becomes pink and her eyes bright yellow, she can release spiritual attacks as well and she has full usage of her umbrella as well.
+ She always releases sakura flowers and petals whenever doing her spiritual attacks, earning her the nickname as the "Maiden of the Sakura".
+ She tends to slip into Japanese every once in a while when she speaks English.
Sample Post:
As soon as Kitsune teleported to the Headquarters, she experienced vertigo and dropped to her knee while using her seimei umbrella as a cane stick. She doesn't know why but first time she used a teleportation device, the world suddenly back-flipped and she decorated the polish steel floors of the HQ with her breakfast. Having teleportation sickness is probably the only thing Kitsune hates about being a member of the Justice League. She was so embarrassed that she went home as soon as she finished doing all the things she has to do at the HQ and didn't come out of her room for the whole day. She shut herself out from the outside world, not responding to any messages from the HQ, and went on a How to Get Away with Murder marathon while sulkily eating sushi.
One would think someone like her who's been a member of the League for quite some time now would get used to what she calls the teleportation-thingy but life, as we know it, isn't full of rainbows and glitter-pooping unicorns. On the bright side, she managed to not completely vomit this time but instead dry-heaved, using her umbrella as a cane to stand up despite the world continuing to spiral wildly. Anyone who would see her right now may mistake her for being a young woman who's just been drunk for the first time.
Despite in her nauseated state, she managed to think comprehensively. Where is everyone? The HQ always has someone to monitor it in case most of the members are on a mission, so where's the monitor? She looked around and saw no signs of life. Using her soul tracking would be a peace of cake as she could already tell if there's someone in the vicinity, but along with the teleportation sickness, she's heavily mentally tired due to her efforts in freeing the innocents from Brainwave's mind control. She made a mental note to continue improving on this newfound skill of hers but for now she could really use some rest.
Naomi walked to her personal quarters using her seimei umbrella to support her while walking. She doesn't dare to change back to her Physical Form as the longer she stayed in Spirit Form, the more fatigue she will feel once she reverts. If she changed right now, she'll immediately drop face-first into the floor, hugging her umbrella and snoring loudly.
After years of torment, she finally made it to her room. Making sure the door is locked and secure, she removed her fox mask and placed it under a pile of clothes in her drawer. Naomi puts her seimei umbrella against the wall and changed into comfortable clothing then she floats over the bed, ready to literally drop on it. With a final exhale, she closed her eyes and changed back into Physical Mode, her hair black and her eyes dark brown, as she dropped on the bed and immediately began to snore loudly while cuddling her big ol' teddy bear.
@baraquiel Schooling in Scotland is generally as follows: Optional nursery up to age 4-5, Primary school for 7 years (ages 5-12), then Secondary school for 4-6 years (ages 12-16/17/18, depending on when you choose to leave). Generally each level of schooling is a separate building, although sometimes you'll get these levels all in the one building. They're never going to be in the same building as a college or university, though.
As for university and college, they're separate things. Generally entry requirements for colleges are lower, requiring National 5/GCSE level qualifications whereas university courses are likely to require Higher passes. You also have to pay tuition to attend university, although Scottish citizens can have their tuition paid by the government while students coming from abroad would have to pay their own fees.
There's several other differences between the two as well, but that's the basic gist of it.
Thanks for the helpful info! I'll post my cs tomorrow :)
Magic: Emotion Bubbles = Vincent can produce what he calls as "emotional bubbles". When a being is trapped in one of his bubbles or whoever pops the bubble will begin to feel the emotion that the bubble contained. However, Vince has no control nor does he have any idea what emotion each of his bubbles contain. Note that this magic is not a form of water magic as Vincent has no control over bodies of water. The emotional bubbles are just his premature form of emotion magic. Additionally, he'll absentmindedly form these bubbles whenever he's daydreaming or even when he's asleep. If these situations arise, just wake him up and the bubbles will automatically pop.
Personality: He is very quiet at all times, not to mention he always wears an expressionless face and listless personality, leading to people thing of him as someone who can't feel any emotions at all. He's really a lazy individual but makes it up for his resourcefulness on how to quickly finish his task. He's always staring into space, daydreaming about things and ideas that he could add to his novel. Vince really likes snoozing, which is what he will do every time he has the opportunity to do it. He's actually really smart for someone his age, he just lacks the energy to do it, one would say. Despite this, he is a very friendly guy once you get to know him. However, it would be a grave mistake to underestimate a Wolfram like him for despite his lazy personality, he's secretly the quickest in his family. The only times one can see him become energetic and vigorous are in life-and-death situations, and also in cases that involve food.
Biography: The Wolframs, being half-rabbits, are known to be the most energetic of their race. So much that in every event that has sports, marathons, or anything that requires running, a Wolfram would always be present. Not only that, the family has a continued lineage of practicing kinetic energy, so you can only imagine when little Vincent came into the picture.
Vince is the youngest of three siblings, the elder brother a world renowned triathlete while his sister, the second sibling, an Internet-famous traceuse. His mother is a coach for their country's female rugby team and his father is a gym and fitness instructor. Each of the jobs that his family has was their dream come true. In Vince's case, his only difference is that he dreams of becoming a novelist and a musician.
His parents were very shocked when they learned about his dream. At first, they really found it hard to believe that a Wolfram like him would dream of a relaxed and laid back life. Where his older siblings are full of energy and always on the run, he would be snoozing and watch movies on television. And on each of their 18th birthday, the eldest wished for a mountain bike and the second running shoes while he wished for a guitar. When they're both out in the field, vigorously training and working their butts off, you would find Vince at home, strumming his guitar and writing ideas for his novel. His whole family comically feared about his future and society laughing at him because they'll think of him as a "defective Wolfram" which they disagree upon greatly as they really, really loved him despite his peculiar personality.
Then that day happened. Vince's powers manifested and the whole family was completely shocked to learn that he had emotion magic. Emotion magic. Instead of treating him indifferently, his family even cherished him more. It's because it was quite known in their family that even though the Wolfram clan has a history of practitioners of body-type magic (kinetic magic), they have a very dormant magic gene that only comes once in a blue moon and grants the user mind-type magic (emotion magic).
His parents decided to enroll him in this school as it is also where his two elder siblings came from. They hoped that he can improve on his magic more and become as successful in his chosen path as his brother and sister before him.
Extra: Vincent is a skilled player of the guitar, ukelele and other musical instruments. He is an avid reader and aspiring novelist. He has a sweet tooth and loves blueberry cheesecakes. He naturally smells like sweet strawberries. He wears an eye patch on his left eye not because he's blind but because having one eye closed usually helps him to not snooze that easily on the spot. Usually.
Sunny screamed in surprise and fell down the bed as she tried to quickly stand up. She regained her composure and did her fighting stance, ready to kick some booty, but was confused as she didn't see any intruders in the house. She raised her eyebrow and scratched her head as she thought that maybe it was the house itself that made that announcement. Sunny whistled in amazement. "Ang gara naman ng bahay na 'to. Why don't we have nice things like this back home?", she said.
She shrugged and opened her closet to put on her uniform. It's kind of the only thing she doesn't like about this academy. She doesn't see the need of spy students wearing formal uniforms when challenges and missions are waiting just around the corner. Also because she's afraid of ripping her uniform and she has to pay additional fees for its repairs or buy a new one, which is kind of a hassle especially since everyone in her country, including her, has been accustomed in a frugal lifestyle. Still, she doesn't deny that she looks cute in her uniform. She decided to don her hair in twin pigtails, fun ponies style, to give that fresh, schoolgirl look.
Next, Sunny took inventory of her weapons. She guessed she doesn't need her oxygen mask since it's just the first day of their school, but she figured you can never really be sure in the world of spies so she decided to put in a secret pocket in her bag just in case. She wore her belt buckle that secretly a garrote, also just in case if she wants to randomly strangle someone. She took out her two leg pouches and strapped them on her legs, the pouch containing acupuncture needles on her right and the other pouch containing three collapsible bo-staves on her left. The pouches are quite well-hidden under her skirt and she guessed they'll be seen once she takes a seat, but she's not bothered by it at all. She thought she won't try to hide it so anyone who might see them will really guess on what's in them.
Lastly, she took out her laptop, cellphone, earphones, a note and a pen, and an apple to put them inside her bag. Sunny then went out and closed her bedroom door, waved at the others who're still in the kitchen, and once outside, spread out her arms to feel the cool morning breeze and the fresh smell of nature. Sunny skipped towards their assigned classroom, excited for whatever is in store for them this school year.
Sometime later, Sunny arrived at the majestic castle. She slow-walked and admired the structure first. She never imagined she'll see an honest to goodness castle in her life. She can only see them in the pages of a storybook and from movies of the medieval era yet here she is, standing before a castle in the flesh. "Now all we need is a prince and a dragon to call this a literal modern fairytale! Or if fate would have it, maybe I'll settle for an ogre and a talking donkey. At least their story was pretty exciting", she said to herself.
Speaking of princes, she found her very own when she entered the classroom. There he was, sitting, looking real good in his uniform and casually having his sword beside him. She's digging his "I have to slay my enemies and bring honor to my family at 10 but I need to go to school at 9" kind of get-up, which made him twice as cool, which was also kind of racist when she thought about it later on. Other princesses can have their knights in shining armor and broadswords 'cause she's definitely contented with her knight in school uniform with his samurai sword.
Then here comes the hard part: where would she sit? Choosing one might mean she'll have to stay at that spot in a semester or quite possible for a year. She can choose to sit next to Shiro, but she's quite conscious on how everyone might think of her especially after what that woman whispered to her. On the other hand, she does kinda want to sit next to the windows so she can occasionally glance outside and enjoy the beautiful view while listening to class. But if she does choose to sit next to the windows, she'll also fear of anyone sitting next to Shiro and they'll become closer as time went by. Sunny quickly thought about it and, deciding to follow her heart, sat next to Shiro. Besides, she thought she'll have lots of time to explore the island later on.
It wasn't until she sat down that she noticed the writings on the board and the weird metal thingy in front. "What kind of school has robot teachers? It's both very amazing and very ridiculous at the same time. What's next, robot cafeteria servers?" she said out loud. This place never fails to occasionally blow her mind ever since she first got here.
