As for TACP/Pointman, well, part of the inspiration is, now that i've reflected on it, the role of the player in a game- which is practically anything and everything. That, and the fact that Rainer is a very... 'special' individual. He's a guy that's learned everything, but is particularly good at reacting to situations- whether it be holy-shit-a-friggin-tank or a holy-shit-a-friggin-knife-to-my-face. Give him time to think and his effectiveness will slow, actually. And he learns very quickly- if fighting somebody, it's difficult to use the same move twice with it being as or nearly as effective the second time as it was the first. Mirror cells- monkey see monkey do, so to speak, he can copy something he sees someone else do rather effectively, or switch... not personalities, but he can switch demeanor and the like to the situation. Loose and flexible.
