- "Dear gods, does everyone of you have repressed trauma against bushes? The papers say nothing about those, so I assume you're keeping it hidden"

  • Bumblebee dive bombs the bush!
    • Bumblebee gains Speeding!
    • Bumblebee impacts against Bush! Bush takes 7 damage (5 extra from Speeding)! 11 HP remaining!
    • Bumblebee smashes against the ground! Bumblebee takes 5 damage! 10/15 HP remaining!
    • Thorns activates! Bumblebee takes 1 damage (2 prevented)! 9/15 HP remaining!
    • Speeding wears off!
  • Pierce fires at Bush! Bush takes 2 damage! 7 HP remaining!
  • Nightingale does an elbow drop on Bush! Bush is unnafected!

Suddenly, the bush starts to slowly levitate towards the roof, out of everyone's reach...

Out of nowhere, small orbs of light appear around the bush, which begin to speed and explode against the plant.
(??? uses Polaris: Celestial Plasma Barrage on Bush!)
The orbs keep appearing and flinging themselves against the plant, covering in in explosions and smokes. The blast noises fill the room
(Everyone is Confused!)
After a while, the barrage and the trembling stop and, where the trainees' enemy was, there was not a single trace of the bush left.
(Bush takes 66565 damage! Bush has no HP left! Bush is now dead!)
  • Tutorial activates! Everyone gains 50 XP!
  • Everyone loses Unbalanced and Confused!


The Head Summoner starts speaking
- "Sorry. You where taking too long. Now we can move on for another enemy. Hang in there while I prepare your next opponent"

@Eklispe Sorry, was going to answer this earlier, but forgot to post the reply. My problem is in "Covering Fire", which is in the same reaction problem than Pierce (@BBeast's character) first Quick Draw, which can be described as "How to React". There are several problems:

  • Automatic reaction on a Skill: As it is a skill, this usually implies that you activate it to provide an effect, not that the ability activates itself on certain conditions. Those things are more common for Traits. A solution is to, simply put, turn this into a trait. But if this happens, then another problem becomes a bigger issue...
  • Energy consumption in an automatic reaction: Traits are not intended to expend energy, but it is allowed for them to do so as drawbacks for particularly powerful effects.that can be fixed with other traits that provide more energy, or bigger energy regeneration.
  • Reaction Time: As it is a reaction, the moment when it activates is a bit of a problem. If it's a skill, it can only activate in your turn, which makes it kind of useless when you have to react to enemy actions. A solution, which is (IMO) the most effective, is to give yourself a one-use buff that allows you to react to enemy actions, triggering an action of yours. This allows the skill to keep being a skill, and gives more control on its reaction time and, consequently, on your energy meter.


Or you can make another skill.




@SimplyJohn Yeah... if you could put all those pictures in a hider it would be appreaciated. It's kind of bothering when, for example, I'm looking for things I need to answer and I don't have any way to shorten the time I spend between scrolling.

For the Speeding effect, yeah. If you gain enough speed, you could achieve the status. Like now.




@BBeast I prefer the last two.




Also, when leveling up, the meter starts at 0. Surplus XP is added to that number
I'm busted at the moment, haven't been able to get a good sleep due to bad cooked meat. Sorry, I'll update and deal with these things later tomorrow.
Upon further checking @Genni's notes, I noticed that the "damage Received" part was being filled with the ATK of the attacker, instead of the damage Bush received. Atm, these would be the current XP levels (including the extra damage caused by Bumblebee:)

Pierce: 4 XP
Bumblebee: 10 XP
Meat: 4 XP
Nightingale: 1 XP
Phantom: 5 XP
Metar: 0 XP

I'm rounding these values accordingly ( <x.5 rounded downwards, and >=x.5 rounded upwards)

The Head Summoner watches as the berserker rages against the fact that a bush is his enemy, and one of the postulants, the one nicknamed "Bumblebee", gives the plant a downwards kick, resulting in the uprooted foliage to speed towards the ground and ultimately crash against it.
- "That was pretty brutal, miss. Have you ever considered the fact that this bush may have a family?"

  • Nightingale uses Combat Triage on Meat, healing 1 HP! Meat now has 15/15 HP! (Current energy: 4/10)
  • Meat uses Rage! Meat's ATK increases to 8, and his DEF decreases to -1! (Current energy: 8/10)

- "What's the matter? It's not a common bush; it has thorns. That should be enough" - says the confused Summoner, as it sees the plant flying across the room after Meat Mallet uproots it.

The game has started. I'm handling the format with plot and other stuff on top, events on the middle and final stats of the enemy at the bottom.

@BBeast You simply go to 0 HP, and have to wait for the rest period (which is what I'm going to use) to recover health. When you're at 0 HP, you'll gain a K.O debuff, which means you cannot take any actions nor be healed normally. You lose that debuff, and gain 1 health point in the rest phase.
