Current And so when you have one player who plays both of the characters, that means they are dictating and creating their own character growth rather than it being dependent on someone else's writing.

I think the failing of most Fate RPs is that they have each person play both a master and servant. The problem with this is that the bonds between the servant and their master are the deepest growth.

I'm sorry to people who had put effort into the RP I was starting a few months ago. My father passed away unexpectedly on the 1st of July, at the age of 56. So I haven't really been on here much.

Well I couldn't write up many details about my character when it comes to combat because he's never focused on it. I wanted to make a character that has lots of room for improvement, but is still useful in his own way.

And that's good.

No age limit and yes rune combinations generally turn out the same every time. The difference is affect runes such as enchanting a weapon with an element. It will affect a weapon the same way every time, however it may affect other weapons differently. And used on things beyond weapons it may even add defensive properties rather than offensive. Runes like fireballs and things like that are pretty much always the same though.

Rose is accepted as long as she keeps her legs lol.

Alaric looks good for the most part, but I think it would be best if the specific mention of rape were taken out.

Crystoph is accepted.

Heloise is accepted though I would cut back the 'expert marksman' just a tad.

Atheena is also accepted.

Looking at the profiles, it would seem the general traits that characters people are making have is having only one or two primary skills with very little mastery over other things. For example, everyone seems to match the classes of marksman, swordsman and all that. Nobody really seems to have a general character that can do a lot of things. Lots of humans too. I think I'll do something like a 'Race of the Week" where I make up a new race and put out all the details about them lol. That way we can start to build up the life in the world. My profile will be rather short as I play the strong quiet and mysterious character! Strong willed that is. DWI!

Name: Fang... *Cough* I mean, uh... Maria

Age: 23

Race: Human

Picture Reference OR Physical Description:

Personality: Maria is pretty laid back and careless about most things. She often acts strong willed and tends to see the brighter sides of things. She's not one to back down from a fight if she can help it, and often looks for ways to get around obstacles that would otherwise be a difficult challenge. She's not very feminine in her behavior, often acting more like a man than many men do. She does however still retain many things that make her the woman she is. Specifically she is very clean, never drinks, and her body lacks much muscle.

History: Maria's past is a history, and she refuses to give anyone her last name. It took a while for her to be accepted into the guild for this reason, but finally the Guild Master trusted her and she was officially a member of Iron Tree. Since then she has spent more time sitting around the guild drinking juice and eating snacks than she has going on quests. She does enough to make her keep and not be a moocher, but she still doesn't actively seek out challenges like other members of the group. That's not to say she refuses to accept quests of course.

Class: Combat Healer

Full list of combat skills: Maria uses her magic to heal her friends, and because of this usually plays more of a support role in groups. She doesn't ever take on challenging quests by herself, as she lacks the spell knowledge to actually attack her enemies. For offensive ability, Maria is left with her staff. She's not the best with it, but she's far from defenseless. She only knows one spell:

Water Orb: Water spells are known for their healing abilities, and the water orb spell creates a small orb of magic water that can be controlled for a short time by the caster. It floats through the air wherever the caster commands, and when it touches wounds it heals them. It's a small orb though, and so it can't be used to heal very many wounds.

It depends on the follower. If it's some kind of beast then it would be much easier to get their hands on. A familiar, much less so and they'd need a good reason for it.

And yes magic has many applications beyond just elemental, but spells such as increasing strength and all that would be more advanced magic. Magic users generally start off with very simple spells. For some examples, the runes they draw would say things like: Throw Fire, Give Element Flame. Simple things. Runes are mixed together to create spells though, and the runes for 'enhance' and 'strength' let's call them, would be more advanced than anything a starter character would know. But yes, sooner or later they could learn to use such spells.

Also Pink, I'd just like to point out that nobody is making you play with Sam's character. You don't have to go on quests with them. You can join other groups, form your own groups, or even make your own quests if you would like. I'm sorry to be blunt about this, but as the GM of this RP I'm going to tell you that it's not your place to moderate people's characters. Suggestions or feedback are appreciated I'm sure, but if it's just because you have a 'problem' with a character because you don't like something about them, please keep it to yourself.

I don't mean to be a downer to anyone, but I've had a few RPs where the GM was just the initial idea maker and people started getting a little out of hand with their attitudes and the GM was just another face in the crowd. I myself will not put up with that kind of behavior towards other players in the RP, and if I see it I will either warn you, or simply report it directly to the mods. This isn't aimed at you Pink at all. You haven't done anything wrong really or anything I'd get mad about. This is just a warning to everyone since we have a lot of people here and it can be easy to get a little heated with so many. Keep a level head and think about the things you say before you say them.

I will be looking at profiles later today and will try to set up a general area with my own character to guide people to where they should aim at for their character's level of power based on the profiles people have up by then. I forgot to mention also in the OC that this is also a world building RP in which everyone may add their own parts to the world. Just keep in mind... Currently the RP takes place ona single continent that is one large landmass. It may have some small islands here and there on the borders, but for the most part it is one solid piece of land.
These toys were ripping the Sith fleet apart one ship at a time. The frigates with no support could only rely on their speed for so long before they started getting picked off. The command ship was quickly being dealt with, receiving little aid as the other command ship left it behind. With no protection other than the smaller amount of fighters, the bombers had their way with the hull and soon the ship was falling apart. It had taken them a while to break through the fighters still however, and by time they did the second command ship had moved on. They did not pursue it though, staying to finish off the first command ship.

The reserve fighters launched from the Black Hand ships and went after the bombers supporting the frigates. That coupled with heavy anti fighter craft flak from the capital ships and there was a lot of exploding Sith ships. Specifically the smaller ones with pilots... of course they weren't necessarily being ripped from the sky since none of the larger ships were really set up to specifically deal with fighters and bombers. Instead the fighters were in charge of taking them out, and soon enough the fighters that had been sent to attack the command ship returned to aid with removing the bomber threats.

In the land of Forrosia, there are many groups of talented people who call themselves adventurers. These people come together in what are called guilds, a single place where jobs are sent known as quests, and the members of these guilds can take up the quests under their guild's banner. One such guild in the heart of the human capital of Sersia, is most notable for the recent expansion on their recruitment techniques. They have begun bringing in more and more members to become a part of their guild, and as a result a part of something greater than their individual selves.

Guilds are like families. They help one another, from quests to more personal matters. They become rivals and challenge one another's strengths to see who can come out on top, but above all the members of a guild are friends. There is only one rule to join this particular guild, and that's that you not only respect your fellow guild members, but you do all you can to protect them and the guild as if it were your home and family.

Many come from all around to join guilds simply for the access to the quests which pay considerably well. They find however that this guild has much higher standards, and requires more of a person than a desire to fill their pockets. More than ambition, a member of this guild must have courage and honor, and enough room in their hearts for the ones they will call their guild mates. It may sound silly, and even a bit corny, but these bonds are the bonds that make this the greatest guild in all the land.

So do you have what it takes, can you call yourself a member of Iron Tree?

OOC:

Iron Tree is a guild based in the human capital of Sersia. It is a noble guild requiring much more of its applicants than most guilds, and the members often form bonds that would rival that of an actual family. Of course this is not always the case, but Iron Tree certainly isn't the place for money hungry mercenaries. There are many guilds out there that cater to such people. Iron Tree is not one such guild.

The quests in the guild will be put up regularly by me with varying requirements to take them on. The main requirement to take on a quest is that your must have the appropriate rank. While anyone can take on a rank 2 quest on their own, they must prove themselves on multiple missions before they will be allowed to take on rank 2 quests. There is an exception however. If members group up together, then their ranks are cut in half and combined. This has some limits with it, as well as removing some limits. For example with this method a rank 2 guild member cannot take a single rank 1 member with them on a rank 2 quest. They can however take 2 rank 1 members with them on a rank 2 quest. As an example of the opposite scenario, normally rank 1 members cannot take on rank 2 quests. However, if a member managed to find 3 other rank 1 members, then their combined rank would be rank 2 and they could take on the rank 2 quest together. This is in place for everyone's safety. (Note, members have known to be sneaky in the past... this is story telling! Having your characters sneak off on quests that outrank them will get them in trouble, but it won't get them kicked out of the guild or anything. At most, the guild master would fear for their safety.)

I will not be the only one posting quests. I mean I might be, but everyone is free to make their own quests. It can be a simple quest to get your character some extra money, or a more important mission following a story you have planned with much greater reward. Whatever you want, just make sure you set the requirements appropriately or I will step in to make some changes. Specifically I may make changes to rank requirement for player made quests if I feel a quest is too difficult. I will of course, consult with the player who made the quest in the first place though.

Characters are not restricted to classes. They have a set of skills and a combat style that they have mastered, or not mastered if you so wish. This can be anything from archery and stealth to magic with extreme physical capabilities. Your character is yours to mold as you see fit. Just remember, all characters are starter adventurers. While they may have special traits that set them apart from the more regular members of the guild, they are still only rank 1 guild members and their starting power should reflect this. Nobody is to bring in their quiet 'badass' character who is super powerful but doesn't want people to know it.

The magic in this world is based off of a rune system. Wizards draw runes from their minds, and based on the rune they draw out they can cast spells or even permanently add magical attributes to items. There is a drawback however. While magical spells are extremely powerful even with the most simple of spells, they are very deadly to the caster as well. Casting spells draws on the caster's own life force, and the only way they can regenerate this life force is by fully resting. This means sleeping. If a wizard expels too much of their life force, they could end up severely hurting themselves, crippling their own body, and at the worst, killing themselves. Magic is much more limited, and to become a more powerful magic caster one must not only memorize more complicated runes by heart, but they must make their very life force stronger. If a single mistake is made in the creation of a rune, it could backfire. A failed rune won't often hurt too much, but it's enough to get people to laugh at you and break your concentration...

Races are simple. Fantasy races! Just keep from going too far off the trail. Humans, Elves of all sorts, even Argonians and wolf people if you want! Just bring up your suggestions with me before putting it in your profile. Don't be afraid to ask. Worst case scenario I say no! The things I will say no to for example are things like "My character is a dragon who got attacked by a wizard and had an enchanted collar put on her that keeps her to a humanoid dragon form." Lol guards gonna kil on sight! They don't care what kind of dragon it is, dragons tend to do bad things to cities!

Anyways. Here's the character profile!:

Name:

Age:

Race:

Picture Reference OR Physical Description:

Personality:

History: (As brief as you want)

Class: (If name is applicable)

Full list of combat skills: (This means skills with a bow or swords or anything like that. Just the important details of how your character fights. There aren't any limits to this, just as long as you don't go off and make the god of all adventurers who can do anything and everything like a master.)

Extra Details: (Anything else you feel needs to be stated about the character that doesn't fit into one of the above sections can go here.)

The dark side clouded everything in this battlefield. It did not only surround the Sith fleet that came out of hyper space, but the Black Hand fleet had a strong barrier of the force themselves. It would not protect them from cannons and torpedos, but it was there nonetheless.

The droid fighters swarmed in an unusual formation, like locusts as a black cloud of fighters moved around the ships. Their signals pinged out across all communication channels, releasing high pitched rings in all open channels. Their artificial minds simulated emotions, and those simulators were very active right now. They wanted to strike, they wanted to tear the frigates apart. They could not go though. They were being held back by an unseen force, unable to move far from the middle of the five carriers.

The fleet did not move and did not fire. Slower as their ships were, speed did not matter when they did not intend to move. They waited and waited, allowing the frigates to weave into their lines before suddenly the whole fleet came to life. The carriers kept their noses aimed at the command ships, making themselves much smaer targets as their massive guns, two on each side, fired at the frigates. The battleships opened fire with every bit of their firepower as well, each ship picking its own target. They for ed a crossfire mechanic where every ship's gu s were helping to destroy a frigate.

As the frigates entered the battle, the fighters, bombers and gunships suddenly lashed out, swarming towards the command ships. With them came boarding pods, with massive claws that would stab past shields and cut through the hull, before prying the metal apart and dropping droids inside. That was if they landed, but they didn't seem to be aiming for that. Instead they charged the gun batteries, using their one time landing methods to stab into the guns and tear them apart. They focused on one of the command ships, leaving the other alone.

The swarms of fighters and bombers could not be stopped of course no matter the firepower of the command ships. There were simply too many of them. Soon they came to the ship's bridge, and all bombers as well as fighters fired one large focused barrage of torpedos and missiles at the bridge, aiming to disable it at the weakest spot. The fighters would at any time break off to fend off any fighters the Sith had brought, while the bombers relentlessly came back for one pass after another bombarding the bridge with torpedos.

Orcs and goblins should stay hostile? Racist! xD

Orcs and goblins killed my family.

Your concept seems fine to me Pink. I'll try to get the OC up soon.
Left my post open as to who the distress message was sent out to. If anyone wants to claim the 5 lost ships as well as the Sith Lord for any reason (He could also be an ex Sith Lord who gave up the Sith ways to be a better person... mostly.) feel free to. If not it will remain unknown who they belonged to and where the message was sent.
