Naruto: Years of Winter - an Alternate Universe

Not all ANBU are Jounin. Or at least I didn't think they were. They were just random shinobi that had covert skills that written under classified missions, I would think they have the same ranks as the others. I could be wrong, A chunin in the ANBU would just be a Chunin. Sort of what Sai was in Naruto.

So waiting for posts, I felt creative so I filled out a character sheet again. Feel free to review, and accept or deny it. Maybe a character to be used much later. Should we need another character. I filled it out under the chunin level of skills with no Kekkai Genkai. Tried to make the character different then my favorite genin I made. Also as I said I was feeling created and wanted to create something while waiting. So here is Kano Rintaro, the random generated name character I put together.

| Ｐｅｒｓｏｎａｌ ｂｉｏｇｒａｐｈｙ: | He was born to a poor family in a village outside of the leaf. The village didn't have shinobi it was just a small market town. During the first winter the village mostly all starved of hunger, he and a few villagers taken in up by leaf Shinobi and taken in as an orphan caused by the winter. Kano found himself in the academy, he was a bright cheerful kid when he started. That was before he got inducted into special ANBU classes. He was a person with no background no connections and someone who nobody would miss if he disappeared.
His life was completely dominated and changed by the will of the AMBU branch of the leaf. Emotions are near to nonexistent within the ANBU. They are to follow orders without question, protect the village, and keep other villages from learning the villages secrets. Kano wasn't one to follow orders though, unless they came from the hokage. A bit of an annoyance no matter how much punishment he took he still questioned orders from anyone other than the hokage.
The same thing goes with his emotions, while he learned to fake having no emotions he hasn't learned to fully suppress them. Eventually he was assign to the personal ANBU guard of the Hokage.
Personality wise Kano adapts to his situation. He often likes being alone or doing his drop protecting the hokage or doing random missions he is given. He has difficulty trusting anyone especially if they are in the ANBU. He only listens to the hokage seemingly one of the few people he trusts. He can learn nearly anything and quickly. Kano loves to cook out side of the ANBU, Kano perfects his skills in cooking, if he wasn't a shinobi he would be cook in one of the random shops around the village.

Fears- If you ask Kano he will say none, but his biggest fear is to watch his comrades fall in battle. While he is willing to give his own life to save the village he doesn't want to see his friends die in battle. He rather take their place at all costs.

Ｒａｎｇｅ Very Short- Taijutsu Range

Ｄｅｓｃｒｉｐｔｉｏｎ A weapon infused attacked variant of the hell stab technique. Infusing chakra into claw weapons increasing their destuctive cutting power.

Ｊｕｔｓｕ ｎａｍｅ Lightning Cloak- Discharge
Ｒａｎｋ A, B or C, depending how much chakra is left

Ｒａｎｇｅ Medium or very short
Ｄｅｓｃｒｉｐｔｉｏｎ A complete discharge of the lighting clock jutsu. Its a one and done jutsu that expels all of ones chakra in one attack. Its a last ditch effort move as it leaves the user completely out of chakra for a period of time.
Instead of just stopping the Lighting Clock it shoots it outwards in a huge or small discharge like wave of energy. With a high knockback electrical force in an explosive like effect.

Ｒａｎｇｅ Long

Ｄｅｓｃｒｉｐｔｉｏｎ: A sensory type jutsu. Sending a small stream of chakra out of the body. The appearance is that of small electrical sparks coming off of the body. The electric pulses that are sent out hit and object or person and are bounce off objects and relaying information back to the user.
The information relayed back is very basic, whether something was in the way of the pulse or not. Effective for mapping out an area or an enclosed building. It isn't a ninja tracking ability. This jutsu cannot be used while moving and has a quite a few limitations.

Ｒａｎｇｅ Very Short

Ｄｅｓｃｒｉｐｔｉｏｎ: Opening the first inner gate, after sending an opponent flying into the air, normally after a huge upper cut. Then followed by Dancing leaf shadow while in the lightning Cloak then flips the opponents then drives them down into the ground in a lighting enhanced move. The move is fast at the end making the sound of thunder, the sight is that of a lightning bolt striking the ground.

The after effects puts a huge toll on the body, not only from huge chakra usage but also a huge strain throughout all the muscles of the body after opening the first gate.

Ｗｅａｐｏｎ， ｔｏｏｌ， ｏｒ ｏｂｊｅｃｔ ｔｙｐｅ Sword/knife

Ｄｅｓｃｒｉｐｔｉｏｎ A weapon that uses a very large amount of chakra to use. The weapon starts off as just a handle with a small guard protective guard were the sword's blade should be.
The sword is created by the user's charka taking form of the dominate nature of its user. In Kano's case it turns into a blade of lighting. Turning into a yellow lighting bolt like sword. The lighting form is capable of electrocuting people he hits with it and can slice through jutsu. The length of the sword all depends on chakra. At the start is a moderately normal length sword. The longer it is used the short it gets. The sword takes a lot of chakra to maintain the full length. The blade can be broke by brute force or a very large concentrated attack to one part of the sword. The sword can be repaired through chakra, but if the sword is broken the lose of chakra is great As a hold piece of chakra is broken off if the sword is broken.

Ria's laughter made Tenshi smile a quite a bit, until he figured out the joke. He nearly busted out laughing, how could he be so dense. It was often he was around a bit of crud humor. Let alone hearing it from a girl close to his age. He wanted to use one more joke but he decided against it.

When she told Tenshi her age, he was sort of surprised. Ria had commented on Tenshi's shortness then comment how people thin of her. His first thoughts, 'I can guess why people think you look older.' He was thinking of how she looked being only a year older surprised him. Her comment about the clans sense of humor he knew actually what she was talking about and commented, "I know right? I haven't seen that many fellow clan members that even laugh at jokes let alone tell them." Her humor was something new and Tenshi liked it. Unlike most of there clan she was laughing and someone Tenshi could relate too.

He takes the rice ball like thing he then hears Ria's little warning to watch out for side effects. She told him it was a super hot super hot tabasco flavored one. This girl likes her spicy food, Tenshi was taking a note of that in his head. Tenshi wondered what other than it might be really hot would the side effects be. He also notices her last slicing joke. Tenshi comments, "Alright no more slice jokes you staring to get worried about getting slic..." He trails off after first it was playfully humor but he wasn't wanting to cross the line. He quickly took a big bite out of the onigiri he was given. Giving him a reason to cut off his joke before he said something wrong.

Tenshi listened and watched Ria. He noticed her eyes the sharingan he didn't say anything Tenshi actually liked the sharingan so unique. Wasn't often he saw a girl with those eyes and not that of a well endowed girl as well...she threatened him if he didn't eat what she offered him after she took of her jacket. Trying his best not to stare, either at her endowed qualities or at her eyes. He kind of understood what she was saying about that guy that got dragged out of here. He comments, "Ah a sort of childhood rival? No need to explain. I think I understand, everyone has one of those kinds of people throughout the academy."

He wasn't sure if he should take what she was offering him or not. She asked him a question though he answers "I am fourteen years old and a genin. Also I'll eat just about anything, so if you want me to eat some onigiri you made then hand some over. I'd gladly eat it, don't want you slicing me in half." He says that last part jokingly lighting up towards her as he starts to feel less nervous towards her.

Tenshi wasn't sure what it was but he was really enjoying talking with her. Whatever it was he is finding it easy to talk to her, was
that they are in the same clan? He stopped himself from asking her the same question she asked him, he remember his father telling him never ask a girl who is older than he was their age.

He thought to himself, 'Wow, that spicy ramen is getting to her. Or is it something else?' Something seems was effecting Ria and Tenshi wasn't sure what it was. Having very little experience even talking to a girl he wasn't sure what it was. He would ask her but he wasn't sure how since he wasn't sure if it was the ramen. So he is going to just keep his question to himself.

I want Tenshi to acquire MS way down the line. Although that will be a long ways away. He doesn't even have a simple sharingan yet. Being an only child his eyes would be limited to how many times he could actually use MS. He wouldn't have a genetic match for replacements. If he would go blind then he would be blind. I don't even know when Tenshi should even unlock his sharingan for the first time yet.

Random question, do most of our characters know the more basic abilities? Like transformations, tree climbing, water walking etc.

'Poor guy never got his ramen' Tenshi thinks as he watches the young man get dragged out of the ramen shop by the Hokage? "That was weird, who was that? It's not every day you see someone get dragged away by the Hokage..." he trails off from what he was saying going back to eating his ramen. "So you knew that guy Ria? He seemed to get on your nerves, is there a story behind that?" He asked this when his mouth wasn't full of ramen, trying to converse while he was eating.

He was thinking of getting a second bowl of ramen. Tenshi wasn't sure if he should get one or save his money for later. He still wanted to go get a standard ninja supplies bag. He needs more tools other than his two weapons in his backpack. 'Ramen or tools...ramen or tools' Tenshi was unable to choose between the two.

Meanwhile he was still paying attention to what was happening around him, he was a shinobi after all. Then again he was a genin and he was mostly distracted with talking to Ria instead of being aware of what is going on fully around him. He wanted to ask how did she get her sharingan but he wasn't sure if that was an appropriate question to ask another Uchiha. Part of him wanted to ask just so he can have some clues to awaken his own sharingan then again he didn't want to sound rude. The other part of him was also nervous talking to her as he wasn't use to talking to girls, he doesn't have that much experience talking to girls or people from his clan that have the sharingan, other than his father.

Lol the whole bit with the hokage dropping her team members away is perfect. Especially after the bit of interaction in the ramen shop.

'Well well, the guy in red did win. Good eye.' were the thoughts in Tenshi's head. When the girl spoke to him, she called him cousin which isn't too strange. They were in the same clan, when she apologized for using the sharingan, he didn't know that was a common rule with the sharingan. "I didn't even know that was a rule then again I can't use the sharingan yet. Yeah, this place is great. I don't see why others don't come here from our clan. It is great food and so many people come here."

She was a nice person, Tenshi was glad for that. He didn't even notice she got very close to him until she backed up and apologized for being so closed Tenshi really didn't mind her being so close before he was enjoying talking to her he says, "Don't worry about it, nothing wrong with getting a bit carried away at times."

The ramen orders arrived he turns and says, "Looks like our orders have arrived Ria." He then says to the shop owner cheerfully, "Thank you for the ramen sir." He picks up the eating utensils getting ready to eat his ramen. He hears outside the shop someone talking to someone about looking for two Uchiha clan members. What a coincidence there were two in the ramen shop now! Tenshi begins to eat now thinking about who could those two Uchiha could be. Another person enters and talks to Ria, looking about the same age Tenshi wondered who that is. This shop was bring all sorts of people to it, Tenshi was glad he went to the ramen shop get gets to meet so many new people.
