It's not great, definitely not my best. However I found a little inspiration and so finished the sheet. Hopefully it's up to scratch.

_{The bittersweet tale of Hades and his most precious consort Persephone has been sung by many a bard. The ground turns cold and the nights long when she makes her journey to the underworld. It is an event that the world of old recognised, for Hades it was his candlelight in an otherwise dark existence.
As the centuries passed the Olympian myths and their divine characters were forgotten, muddied or lost. As belief ebbed so did the strength of the gods. For Hades his mind was so transfixed on his beloved, that his grip eased. The underworld is not what it once was. Many souls have escaped, some even stolen, trespasses that once incited his fury have since been ignored. Were it not for his muse, Hades' indignation would surely come to pass once more.}

<sub>Having regained his perspective on the world and the duty he long abandoned, Hades is intent on tightening his grip over the dead. Those whom he meets will often first notice his attention is elsewhere. It is likely that his scrutiny is sharply focused on those whom have left his realm, the other possibility being his search for Persephone. Whichever it may be Hades' mind is rarely at the behest of those that seek it to be, which many a soul will tell you is a good thing.

It is when someone has the full attention of Hades that his true nature arises. He has no tolerance of those that undermine his authority or lacks recognition of the part he plays in the world. If truth be told Hades is quietly insecure. He is aware that his two brothers were more widely accepted that he was and at times the pain of being relegated to the underworld shows itself, but rarely. No, there was not a soul upon the earth that wished for Hades attention wilfully. Yet with a new world comes new principles, and as the Olympian gods fell from favour so did the fear felt by man. Hubris is rife in the modern world, Hades is not one to take it lightly.</sub>

_{Hades is a fickle god. If you cannot further his goals then you are of no use to him. He admires those who have ambition, men or women who are willing to do what it takes to spread his name. He accepts those that are passionate, that have something to lose so as to encourage them further. Above all Hades demands loyalty. A disloyal act towards Hades is an act of defiance, of Hubris. Souls like that are found nowhere else but Tartarus.}

I'm still working on Hades, just had a tough time writing the past few days. I'll have him ready for when you want to introduce them though no problem.

@Atroposer Just an FYI. My take on Hades is going to be that due to Persephone he has long neglected his duties. Coupled with the fact that their power has lessened that would be the reason for so many souls escaping or being taken from Hades.

I was thinking that someone unnamed could have placed a charm on Hades to focus him on Persephone as that extra reason for why he neglected duties whilst Persephone would have been with Demeter. Which would also be his reason for awakening as I'm also thinking that someone could have stolen Persephone away and in Hades' rage the charm was broken and he has realised how unruly the underworld has become, so he would be rather angry to start with I'd guess and very driven to get things back on track whilst he looks for Persephone.

I don't want to theorize who could've cast the charm or who could've stolen Persephone just yet but I thought they would perfectly set him up in the RP. Maybe they could come to fruition in book 2 or 3? if we get that far.

@Atroposer Ok I understand! So, should I leave location off the CS as it'll end up being wherever the Witch that summons me? Or should I put Olympus/Underworld as the place I'm summoned from

EDIT: I second Americore, if too many people want to be Deities I'm happy to be a witch instead.

May I ask, for the location section of the CS, I assume that is where the character will begin in the RP and not a location of Origin? Also wouldn't it be best for everyone to be in the same location to promote interaction?

Assuming I understand what you're going for in terms of characters, I'm possibly interested in playing Hades.

Just to let Poly know where I'm at. I've been keeping up to date with the OOC, I'm waiting to see if there is anywhere I'd like to fit a character in. This is larger scale than I originally thought it would be however so consider me by no means ready to jump in. Gonna keep an eye out still, seems to be going well!

@Polybius I'm not locking myself into anything I just wanted to throw the idea out there, but if I wanted a lesser-role in the RP (I.E not an entire faction) would I be able to create one of these secondary characters for someone elses faction? (if they allowed me of course). Or could I even be someone affiliated with Reva Xem, be it his chief diplomat or maybe the guy he sends in to 'sort out problems' with people who don't pay taxes etc. So almost your secondary character.
