Biography:
As a kid Ricky had it fairly easy. With a large majority of his family being a part of the film industry in some way or another it was expected that he'd most likely follow suit. At first though he refused. His parents and siblings tried to force him to audition at some places, but he just wouldn't do it. It's not that he was being rebellious he just didn't think he could live up to the family name. He didn't think he'd be any good.

However, there was one audition for a show that really appealed to Derek. While his brother was awaiting his turn to audition for the role of Francis Callahan, Ricky began to really like one of the characters in the listing named Roddy Callahan. Ricky thought that it would be cool to work with his brother as brothers on a show. So, Ricky decided to audition in hopes of getting the little brother. Neither him nor his brother got the roles they were after, but a few days later Ricky got a callback for another character called Derek O'Leary. Ricky was extremely unsure if he even wanted to do it but his brother convinced and motivated him to go for it. He was surprised when he actually got the role.

At first he was just a minor character that had little to no screen time but overtime people began loving Ricky's portrayal of a bully with a soft spot for the extremely less fortunate. For the last two season's Ricky's character Derek O'Leary had made his way onto the main cast. Unfortunately, the character didn't get his redemption year of becoming a better person. Ricky had decided that after the show was over he'd become a screenwriter/playwright so he could make masterpieces just like Edenridge. When he was contacted for a reboot Ricky jumped at the chance to rejoin the cast.

Biography:
To start telling the biography of Derek one would need to start first with his parents.

Sarah and Mike, the mother and father of Derek, were the it couple at Edenridge High during their high school years. The captain of the football team and the head cheerleader. Prom King and Queen and the most popular kids in town. Yet, as a lot of kids their age they were young, stupid, and careless. A few weeks after prom Sarah realized she was pregnant. Her parents were furious, but did nothing to punish the girl. Mike also promised he would stick by her side forever and that a baby wouldn't change anything, and she believed him. How unfortunately naive.

Only a few days before the due date and Mike disappeared without a trace. Even the boys family and closest friends had no idea where he went other than a note that basically said screw everyone and that he was skipping town forever. To add onto Sarah's grief her mother passed away the day that Derek was born. How could someone be happy in these horrible circumstances? However it was done doesn't matter. Sarah was still overjoyed to have the baby in her arms.

The joy didn't last long and she knew it wouldn't. Her father was an extremely strict man and she knew it. He told her she would work to get a place for her and her baby despite having the money and living space to support them. He would give them money anytime they ultimately needed it, but other than that all the man did was watch Derek while Sarah was working or taking classes.

Skip a few years to while Derek is in elementary school. He is a kind quiet sort. Helps his classmates and has a few friends. Then a specific kid moves into town. Starts bullying Derek calling him all sorts of things and pestering him. Derek took it and never responded. Until one day the boy attacked one of Derek's friends. Derek couldn't stand by and watch. He stood up to the bully and in the process got beat up for it. Then his 'friend' didn't even help him.

This basically broke Derek. He switched schools because his mother didn't want him to get hurt again. When he started at the new school he was different. No longer the sweet boy. Now, he despised anyone who looked down on others or had it in any sorts of the way easy. No one other than Sarah remembered the kind boy that Derek use to be.

Starting high school was basically the same deal. By this time he had his lackies and easily became the top dog of his grade. He was basically just a jerk and bully to anyone who didn't stand behind him. Being one of the best football players in the state didn't help much either. By his junior year he was the most popular guy on campus, and he absolutely hated it.

Over the summer between his junior and senior year, the summer after the shooting, Derek had a realization that all he had been doing was a complete waste. Treating people the way he did wouldn't benefit him at all. He closed himself off that summer and when he came back to school he was a different person. It was impossible to make up for his wrongs but he did his best.

He went to college on a full ride athletic scholarship. It looked as if he was going to have a promising career in the NFL until in his senior year of college he received an injury that completely destroyed his knee that caused him not to be able to play again. After no NFL team's wanted to take the chance on him he went back to Edenridge and became the school janitor and occasionally helps out the football team.

I'm thinking maybe Keisha and my as of yet unnamed character could have been friends on the show, thus adding MORE to Keisha's guilt, since it seems like she is a character that likes to spiral. It looks like Keisha is working at the school at the open of the new season, and I was toying with having my character in a position of moving back to town after accepting a teaching position, so it would put both girls face to face with each other after 10 years. I'd like to see how they react, if you are up for it.

Biography:
Sidney Henri was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, one of three sons of a teacher and a decorated World War II veteran. He had always been interested in acting from an early age, as well as jazz, as a child he often participated in Mardi Gras parades playing his trombone. He attended the Juilliard School's Drama Division from 1981 to 1985, where he graduated as a member of Group 14 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Over the years, Sidney appeared in many movies and tv shows, mostly as a low level one shot appearance. It wasn’t until he early two thousands that he finally found a character he connected with; Antoine Beauregard. Sidney auditioned and was initially unsuccessful as the producers, although impressed, felt he was too young for the role. Luckily, a scheduling conflict forced the chosen actor to drop out and Sidney got the part.

Often considered a core piece of the heart and soul of the show, Sidney loved Edenridge High and was heartbroken when it ended. All but retiring when the show was cancelled, Sidney took his time to raise his kids. When the call when out for the revival, Sidney rediscovered his passion for acting and was the first to actually sign on the dotted line…besides, someone had to look after those idiots.

Biography:

A trombone playing, whiskey loving, cigar chomping former homicide detective from New Orleans turned televisions most beloved teacher since Mr Belding and Mr Feeney, Mr Beau.

Initially appearing in the first episode, Mr Beau quickly became a father figure to many of the cast with his sharp wit and strong sense of morals. His Nawlin’s drawl stood out amongst a sea of Boston bred boys and girls, which along with his penchant for pinstripes left him one of the more memorable characters in the shows run. Beau’s experience with crime as a former police officer left him with vital knowledge and experience that he could pass on to some of his more disruptive students in order to sway them from a dark path.
Beau had an open door policy, including that of his home, often sheltering the kids in his spare room if every they needed to hide away from the world.

We're making some good progress here guys, establishing what came before is going to be key to making this work. I'll be creating a timeline of the original series to keep track of things and have it on the first page so we can always refer back to it. Let's keep this up!

I'm not really sure what my character would do in a school shooting scenario... So I'll just say she was in the bathroom or at a mental preserve while it happened and that's why she stayed safe.

That could actually work, being trapped and helpless away from the action could definitely effect a person just as much as being right in the middle of it all. Especially if she knew her friends and people she cared about were in the building

I can definitely see that happening! Keisha's ex showing up to the school with a gun, only really looking for her brother but shooting anyone that gets in the way. Sounds....exciting.

More than likely, the brother was the target, then the guy realises that he's now trapped with police on the way so he gets scared, starts taking out anyone that gets in his way, probably hopped up on some drug.

Right then so, let's start establishing some of our Edenridge backstory. I think this is the best way to proceed for now considering where we are in the year (damn you Christmas). Once all the heavy Turkey lifting and present unwrapping is done, we can get started properly rp wise.

Our characters are generally around the same age, so we can assume they all have a shared past. One thing I noted was two separate mentions of a shooting (Roddy/Keisha). That could be one thing we play around with, a school shooting by Keisha's ex. It could easily be one of the original Edenridge's most treasured storylines and good jumping off point for the revival "The ten year anniversary of the Edenridge High shooting brings back some old faces..."
