Height: 5'3 Eye Color: Blue Hair Color: Pale Blonde
Description: Adrila is your average elf height, not standing very tall or very short. She has a soft, gentle face with laugh lines ingrained in it. She has straight, white hair that she keeps exceptionally long even though having such long hair can be such a pain at times. She can be seen wearing form fitting tunics of a deep forest green color with multiple layers of clothing underneath. She wears thin bracers along her wrists to keep her sleeves down and a thick belt around her waist with a long cloak, woven into her tunic.
Personality: If there is anyone who is a stickler for the rules, Adrila would be it. She likes order, and plans, and when things follow those orders and plans. After being alive for more than a century, she has learned a thing on two on how to deal with people and to get them to do what needs to be done, nicely. She has too kind of a heart to really push people more than they need to be and really hates when she has to be rude to someone to get something done, but she will do it if she has to. She does have her moments, however, where her youthful emotions get the better of her and she has a bit of an outburst if things seem to be spiraling out of control but usually, she's very calm headed and in control.
Quirks: - When deep in thought, she'll twirl her hands and when absolutely consumed by an idea, she might snap by her ear as she thinks. She isn't sure where she got it or why she developed it but it helps her stay focused on the task at hand, the snapping especially since it gives her a rhythm she can focus onto. - Adrila tends to have high anxiety and combats that by covering every little detail of her work. It's not bad enough to be considered OCD with rituals, but she likes to have every step covered and if things tend to sway off the path, she'll have a backup plan for her backup plan. - If her backup plan for her backup plan starts to fall through, Adrila's anxiety can cause her to malfunction at time. She might try to figure out where her plans went wrong instead of focus on the problem at hand. She can get stuck in this rut for quite a while without someone helping pull her out of it.
Brief History: Adrila was born to a mid class family who had connections with nobility so she grew up going to balls and parties and learning in the same schools as the other children in higher economic classes than herself. During school, it because obvious very quickly that Adrila was a little- different from the other children. Where the other children spent more time with each other and focusing on non school matters, Adrila spent almost all her time with her nose in the books. She took extra classes, a healer's class being one of her favorite out of her electives and one she continued to progress with during her education at the school. She did, of course, have a few friends but most were bookworms like her. She graduated top of her class and was fought over by the nobles who all wanted her to be their advisor. Eventually, she settled into her new job and began getting things into running order. It didn't take long for everything to be to her liking, so she requested a small chance to go out in the world and explore. She advised the noble that her infrastructure would run by itself, almost perfectly, for a few weeks and she would come back in more than enough time to return to it. Of course, the noble agreed and off she went to see the world she never got to see. Till one day, she got lost and in a fit of anxiety and panic, came across the village.

<Snipped quote by BunniesOfDoom> Never have I been more disappointed to find a blank lander page. Unfortunately no matter what I try it doesn't seem to have been archived anywhere.
<Snipped quote by BunniesOfDoom> I suppose I should get another post up quickly so Erin can bring this news to the gang.
Having more curiosity than good sense, Erin would probably open that link up while waiting for the others to get out of their classes. Would she notice anything obviously instructional or the like for her to latch onto as a really funny idea to try? Either way, I'll have her message a group chat about the crazy instructor to give people something to respond to.
It's going to be a whole website dedicated to people trying out different techniques and a forum of people chatting about the adventures they're going on.
When Erin strolled into the, it was full to the brim with chattering students but the one at the front of the class was not the usual professor. It was one of the TA's that followed the professor around. They stood before everyone, shifting nervously from one foot to the other. The professor was at his desk, a newspaper opened and with his feet up, looking like he couldn't care in the least. The TA kept glancing down at his wrist watch then back at the class as the seat filled in more and more. At about five past eight, he cleared his throat but that didn't seem to catch the kids attention. With a nervous glance at the professor, who peered at the TA from over his newpaper with a raised eyebrow, the TA tried once more to quiet the class and start the lecture. “Settle down everyone! Class has begun!” The classroom grew quiet as the students settled into their seats and gave the TA their full attention.
“Today's lecture is about the psychology of dreams.” A mummer began to sweep through the class and the TA cleared his throat, loudly this time. The students grew quiet again and the TA started his powerpoint presentation. “There are a lot of theories as to what dreams are. No one really knows.” The TA pressed a button on his clicker and his presentation went to the next slide. “A strong theory is that dreams are just a mumble jumble of things our brains have stored away, used in a way to process life and kind of sort things through. They don't mean anything and the more often someone is in your life, the more you will encounter them in your dream.” He clicked the button on his clicker to get to the next slide. This one showed an image of Captain America and the Avengers. “However, that leaves people wondering about those dreams that seem different than the typical ones. Those dreams that leave us waking up in the morning, wondering if this world is even real. What about those dreams? The dreams where you fall and hurt your back and you can feel it. Or those who have lived completely separate lives in those dreams just to wake up distraught. What about those dreams?” This seemed to catch the professor's attention and he lowered the newspaper, folding it, and resting it in his lap as he watched the TA's presentation. The TA flashed him an awkward smile before continuing.
“There's a theory,” The TA began, only for the professor to cut him off.
“A theory?” The older man said as he crossed his arms over his chest before letting his feet drop down from the desk.
“Okay, well it's not exactly a proven theory. More like, a guess.” The professor chuffed our a laugh and the TA nervously fidgeted before continuing with his lecture. “I'm sure you are all aware of the multiverse theory. You've all seen it in the recent super hero movies of different realities. Some researchers,” the professor cleared his throat and the TA sighed lightly before continuing, “some people, believe that when you sleep, you have a chance to break through the barrier that separates our dimension or reality from another. They even went as far as to try and test this theory out. There were a few successful attempts and getting to a regular place with months of trial and error. It really is a fascinating subject! Just think! You go to sleep and the next thing you know, you're in a completely different world. Perhaps one where magic is real and you can cast fireballs out of your hands!”
“Okay,” the professor said as he stood up from his chair. “I think this loony lecture has gone off the rails. Like he said in the beginning of the lecture. Dreams aren't really understood too well but I think we can pretty much all agree that they're NOT” the professor snatched the clicker away from the TA, “portals to different realms, hmm?” He started to flip through the slides, each one having a picture of some book or movie action scene where a hero or group of heroes were fighting a heroic battle. The last slide only had a short url in the center. Https:/ /dreamsrreal .org. The professor turned to the class, as he waved his hand to the link on display. “This, ladies and gentlemen, is why you should do your research and check and double check your information before you go through the trouble of making a presentation. It can make you look like a loon.” He threw the clicker down on the desk with a huff as he shook his head at the TA. “Well, I guess class is dismissed. You were supposed to be taught by him today but I think I rather you not learn anything at all than learn nonsense. Class dismissed.”
Well, yall are welcome to explain what your class is like, if you want. I will more than happily rp as everyone's teacher if you like! But we won't be lingering long on the classes. We'll skip to the evening pretty quickly.
<Snipped quote by Squirrel98> Lies and slander. I've never once heard of this character.
<Snipped quote by BunniesOfDoom> If no one else wants to do it, I'm happy to. It would require I forsake my morals, my pride, and everything I stand for by double posting, but if the greater good demands I must, then that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make.
No need for such dramatics lol. Just feel free to modify your post! Or if you want to do a double post, that's fine as well. But I don't want your pride sullied by the mere thought of having to perform such an act!
