Yes, you may. I have a small civilization on the islands of Ju'ra.

I like how 'fuck you I'm a god' Tinty was. That's actually how I always RP'd him.

If he doesn't care about mortals why does he patrol the seas, keeping all life safe? I'd imagine he'd just go on to Neyav?

You sir, would be correct lol

I have a feeling we are going to get along wonderfully :)
@Tigre, is that a Community reference per chance?

I can't wait to convert all the religious characters to Eeiys' way of thinking! >:D

I'm unclear as to Eeiys' way of thinking, does he deny the existence of the gods, or simply reject them as being good for mortals or whatever?

@Cops; I just read over the Keepers Faction sheet. They are pretty awesome and mildly similar to the Alunei :D I think our characters will get along greatly! The only differences between the two it seems the Keepers are more focus on the Balance of power and civility within the world while the Alunei are more focus and concerned with the preservation of life and tranquility. lol Similar yet different. HahaEDIT: I also added a section in the CS mentioning the capabilities of their wings.

The Keepers are loosely based on Buddhists of the old way (Not modern buddhism, which is a terrible degeneration of a wonderful tradition if you ask me. Anyone versed in the subject may have noticed the Keeper elder's name is Theravada which translates from Pali to, 'Way of the Disciples' the tradition which was formed by true followers of the original Gautama Buddha) so yes, you're correct. Alleviating suffering is another main principle which I imagine we definitely share. I notice that our characters compliment each other very well, one who aims to help by destroying the wicked, and one who aims to help by protecting the righteous :)

You're actually right here mostly. I misinterpreted how you presented it initially. See I assume that short life span equates to high pop and vice versa, but of course it is the actual population figures through the generations which would have dictated the distilling.Good call.Just play the character fairly and I am sure you will :)So we now have three overtly magical characters in the party?Mine, Frozen's and Cop's?

I do my best to pay attention to detail, I like to keep things consistent (It comes with the territory when you major in philosophy lol).

Not all magic users need a direct connection. It is just one method of enhancement.Having a short lived race with very potent magic doesn't fit the lore really. I like the idea of the character and I trust you to RP it responsibly and not OP'd but I'm just wondering of how well it fits into the setting is all.

I thought the issue with magic dwindling had more to do with size of the race, (shorter lived races have to reproduce in greater numbers) which is very small in comparison with one like humans. If humans have enough magic to produce a single wizard with generation after generation of having such an enormous population (I assume there are a great deal more than 1 thousand humans out there), I think it makes sense for the Keeper's magic to be strong. By keeping their population low since their origins I figure they accidentally preserved their magic in a way very few other races did. If the lore dictates low magic I'd have to blow up the population of the race, at which point they would no longer make sense as an obscure race of monks.

As for my playing style, it is safe to assume I'm not going to an ass. My character is essentially a monk, and will act accordingly: no murder-death-killing his way out of every problem, and even in combat he is forced to either be reserved, or risk dying.

^This is all I'm referring to with the god connection thing, taking the 'All' literally.
I also apologize for being a bit snarky in my earlier comment, I don't mean it harshly.
This is my worst nightmare. I am so sorry for having spammed the thread, I was getting a blank screen and thought the guild was broken.

Alright, found a keyboard, time to comment on this part, as well :PI'm going to disagree with your posit that only people with super dope fighting skills AND tons of magic are OP. No, rather, I'd say that either of those on their own are OP. Remember, we're supposed to be pretty-much-average people going on a journey that far outclasses our skillsets and one that we really shouldn't win. Unless it's been changed into a "all the heroes of the land, let us go fight evil!", though if that's the case then I need to make a different character because mine simply has no place in such a group. It also seems like you're going too far in your compensation for what you see as weaknesses in your character. You make your character "a bit" worse at close combat than the magicless close-combat-specialized knight, and squishier (which, well yes, you're not wearing armor), but at the same time you get back mobility since you're not wearing heavy armor AND you get a "bunch" of magic. I'd suggest that giving a character a bunch of magic to compensate for a little loss in close combat is a net gain in power (without going into the folly of comparing your character to another character who is OP and then claiming balance).

If that's the case then I'm going to disagree with your definition of OP. I from my own interpretation of what Darkmatter said I take it that we're above average, and below hero. Over-powered, and powered, are very much not the same. I thought this was fantasy, not "A couple dudes walk around and get obliterated by a dragon".

As for my character personally, first I want to clarify that "A bit" and, "A bunch" are relative terms, especially in comparison to the other very serious technical terms I used like, "super dope". Second, we should get it out of the way, yes, my character can jump high and throw a lightning once (maybe twice if we're up against 20,000 dudes) per encounter, but I'm not trying to create a character that's outlandish. He has clear drawbacks, such as 1. literally zero defensive abilities (vulnerable) 2. easily exhausted (leaving him even more vulnerable) 3. he's literally disarmed every time he uses his 'OP' attack (even more, even more vulnerable). I didn't call him a glass cannon for nothing.
