Just a poke at everyone who expressed interest. If you don't respond, I'll assume I lost you somewhere and bother you no more.


I'm not sure I am able to join. The technology/magic combo doesn't quite work for me. Sorry 'bout that.

Alton refused to get up. He was in the phase of regaining consciousness, but was adamant to force himself back to that wonderful darkness that is sleep. His alarm hasn't even gone of- "CRAP! I FORGOT TO SET THE ALARM!"

With a jolt, he sat up and looked around for his... room? All he could see is a group of very confused-looking characters, standing somewhere is an empty white void. "I'm just dreaming, right?" Alton thought to himself, "This is a lucid dream, my alarm is still ticking and I'm still in bed. But why does it feel so real? And- is something on my face?" He reached up and felt the beak of the rooster mask that covered his entire head. As he did so, he noticed his arm was wearing a beige sleeve. Alton looked down.

"Holy crap, I'm Jacket."

He took another look at the band of characters in front of him. We had Kirby, Link (female), a mage, that girl from Borderlands, that guy from DMC, and a crazy popsicle-stick guy attacking a black wolf. "This can't be a dream." Alton thought, "My brain can't have just made this up. What the hell happened?"

Basically, you create a Player (e.g. Joe Smith) who is participating in the virtual world. He/She has been put in the body of an Avatar of their choosing (e.g. MasterChief) and has the abilities of said Avatar (Regen Health, Vehicle Flipping etc.)

Now, for the most part, your Player would be in control of the body, but he/she may inherit personality traits of the Avatar. How your Player's personality and your Avatar's personality mesh is up to you.

For example:
Nicholas is cynical, lazy and apathetic, but in the body of Gaige, he became a little friendlier.

Alton tries to be emotionless, but in the body of Jacket, became incredibly prone to rage.

He turned around, picked up his soup bowl and drank the rest of the cold tomato soup in one go, placing an empty bowl back down. He took the bread to eat on the way.

"Right then," He said to himself as he strode out the cafeteria doors, "Let's give this horse a nice coat of paint!"
Question: Is there anything stopping the students from walking out of the cafeteria? Are they allowed to wander the hallways at this time?
I can see one hit kills working on humans: after all, humans (and dogs) were the only physical opponents. I can't see it working on something like, say, a giant crab. Not even if he had a machine gun.


That's a fair point. I should change it from "one hit kills" to something a bit more standardized across enemies. How about "Damage is 2x the health of generic enemies of that area"?

Are you sure you don't wanna make him more powerful? I understand "One-Hit Kill" is a powerful skill, but don't you want something a little more? Maybe Biker's throwing knives? Maybe x-ray vision or some variant, in vain of the games' top down perspective?


Again, a fair point. Having x-ray vision or map awareness sounds useful. I might add that.

Question: What's the rules regarding Death? Can I have it so Alton can respawn faster/at all?
