Vicky watched the clock hands turn with childlike wonder. How happy it must be to know its purpose and turn to tell people the time. She wished she had tha kind of clarity. The men were getting close before she noticed them. She turned her head, fascinated to find new people in the park. She liked it because there were other statues here, the fountain had three beautiful nymphs who Vicky hoped would wake up one day soon. THey would have such fun playing in the fountain.
"Can I help you?" she asked the men, remembering to speak English.
The mortals of Corvus Bay are ordinarily fairly oblivious to the machinations of the occult world. Lately though it seems like that might have changed. More that one member of the community has goine missing, and several fronts for various occult organisations have been raided by police.
Also, Kendra has one last debt: "Someone helps you understand your dreams and visions. You owe them 2 debts." If no one is interested, I'll just give it Kendra's other roommate, Aliss.
I wouldn't mind helping Kendra interpret. Vicky's understanding of the world is both child like and aged which sometimes gives her insights. Also I knew the Pythia, which is cool.
The port and shipping tradition of Corvus Bay means that people from all over the world have settled here. You can find ship wrecks from the 17th century, expatriate Laotian temples, African street festivals, Polynesian restaurants, and everything in between. They have brought their magics and secrets with them.
@Guardian Angel Haruki How do you feel about having been poking around Mortimer's cult and he used me to defend it by attacking you. I can use my Serve The Powerful instinct. Hurting Kim was what made me realize I didn't have to keep following orders.
