Jerome Winters looked over the report that'd fallen on his desk. There was a serial killer running loose in Montana. They'd already killed five people. While murder alone wasn't something that warranted the attention of Delta Green, the occult symbols drawn in blood at the scene of the murders was troubling. They reminded the intelligence analysts of some renditions in a tome whose very name invited ill-tidings. To the Office of Operations, that fact was enough to justify the deployment of a task force.
Jerome began the tedious process of putting the operation together. A cover story was simple enough: his task force would disguise themselves as FBI agents chasing a serial killer. Agents could meet him and each other at Malmstrom Air Force Base. The Office of Logistics would help pay for whatever travel expenses the agents had, and could spare a few extra thousand dollars for any additional expenses. The hardest part would be actually getting the agents to show up and commit to the operation. A Night at the Opera was never something that one could anticipate. For many, it always happened at an inconvenient time in their life. Some were also still traumatized by their last operation, and struggled with the idea of putting themselves through another one. But who else was going to stop things that go bump in the night? It was up to people like Jerome and the agents in Delta Green to protect the innocent, no matter the cost.

Choose federal law enforcement. Choose the military. Choose NASA or the CDC. Choose lying to your superiors. Choose to ruin your career. Choose no friends. Choose divorce. Choose life through the bottom of a bottle. Choose destroying evidence and executing innocent people because they know too much. Choose black fatigues and matching gas masks. Choose an MP5 stolen from the CIA loaded with Glasers, with a wide range of attachments. Choose blazing away at mind numbing, sanity crushing things from beyond the stars, wondering whether you'd be better off stuffing the barrel in your own mouth. Choose The King in Yellow and waking up wondering who you are. Choose a 9mm retirement plan. Choose going out with a bang at the end of it all, PGP encrypting your last message down a securely laid cable as an NRO Delta wetworks squad busts through your door. Choose one last Night at the Opera. Choose Delta Green.
- Generally, Delta Green agents are faced with dangerous threats and near-impossible odds. Unfortunately, your character isn't an all-knowing superhero. Keep that in mind while posting.
- Teamwork and OOC discussion is highly encouraged. Characters will not be able to accomplish the mission alone.
- The more experienced a Delta Green agent is, the more damaged and the less sane they will be.
- While Delta Green recruits can be anyone, it's important that your character have some sort of training or knowledge that would make them an appealing agent to the organization. Delta Green is unlikely to make a high school student an agent. They're much more likely to make a college-educated, middle-aged specialist or a highly trained young adult one of their agents.
- The posting standard will be hopefully once a week, although I will also accept once every other week. I will happily make exceptions if there is strong communication between us too. I will assume a player has lost interest if there is a failure to communicate.
- There will be no serious standard for how long your post should be, although I do expect a certain level of spelling and grammar.
- Please keep drama OOC to a minimum. As stated before, teamwork is highly encouraged. So please be respectful to the other members of your team.

It came to him in a dream. He was standing in a sunless space, surrounded by twisted dark trees and an ominous fog, when he noticed two red eyes staring at him. He felt drawn to them, and his feet began moving before he knew it. The eyes belonged to a horned, sick creature that screamed at him in a language that wasn't human. Its screaming made the ground shake and him tremble. Although he couldn't understand the words it spoke, he somehow knew what it wanted. It was trapped. It needed his help to escape.
"How can I help you!? What do I do?" He begged it to know. The thing screamed again, and this time the intensity of the screaming made him fall to his knees and cover his ears. But he had his answer. To help it escape, he'd have to do the unthinkable. He would have to kill.
You are a member of a secret US government organization known by most as Delta Green. Delta Green's mission is to keep humanity safe from the supernatural. Recruits can be nearly anyone. You could be a FBI investigators, an infantryman in the US Army, a CDC scientist, or even a journalist.
A lot of Delta Green's work involves investigation. Combat will be short and very lethal. Every character will have a set of skills assigned to them based on their backstory. During a crisis, I'll be rolling dice to determine whether or not you succeed at a certain task.. or to see if your character loses their sanity.
