Well, I guess it's time to present my character.

What do you think?
Well, I was considering hope myself.

By the way, do we all create our characters here?
My character is probably closer to an adventurer than a knight, using "monster magic" and all. I'm not sure knights would accept someone like that.
Me too.

I was thinking of having a character who learned magic from a hag or a similar magical monster (either that or a tamer of magical beasts).
Don't they cull themselves?

I'm casting a personal vote for no elves/dwarves/halflings, AKA 'classic' fantasy races. They're so ingrained into the realm of modern fantasy, I feel they don't add anything particularly special, unless they fill some special role in the story. Humans are an incredibly diverse species (as we know IRL) and basing other races off niche human traits is something of a disservice. But that's just me.

Maybe the Fae should be something more like gnomes than elves, then. Small and mischievous, but obey any pacts and contracts made with them.
@RC3Fine by me, as long we don't go all Goblin Slayer with it.

By that I mean: "All monsters are evil, no ifs or buts".
I usually prefer playing uncommon races, monstrous or otherwise, but I can play normal ones as long as background is interesting.

Speaking of which, is it possible to have a background that allows a positive relationship or vision to monsters, like say, being raised by them or even having been rescued by one?
You can count me interested as well.
@tobiax Won't be a problem.
