No, I can't believe how little all this means to me.
I'm a long-time Roleplayer looking to do something with my life. My name is Chuuya, Chuu, or Oliver and I'm a 23 year old that lives with relatives outside Tampa. I like 2D fighting games, discovering new music on the daily, and I'm about as much of a weaboo as the next guy. At the moment, I'm currently in the middle of guerilla warfare with the roaches in my bathroom and the dumbest thing I've ever done was fly across the country for work during a national crisis. I like listening to people's problems and I sometimes think about the fanfictions that I'd like to write too. I'm also pretty good at reading people, but other than that, I'm actually pretty boring.
I don't have a preference for Roleplaying though I tend to bore very easily and get distracted by the next shiny plot that comes along. I'm open to about anything though I'm too inexperienced for smut (I have to know my partner for a minimum of a year before I feel comfortable writing it anyway). I've been Roleplaying for a little over a decade now and I'm mostly adjusted to "chat-based" Roleplays (i.e. Discord), but I'm open to new experiences. That's all I can think for now, but ask me anything and I'll be happy to share.

I've been in some roleplays hosted on some chat service, fair amount of them were bite-sized but a good number of them were actually long form. I can't say I'm terribly familiar with post-by-post stuff on forums, but that is part of the reason why I signed up: To try new things.
Oh, I can relate to that. I started on Chatango then switched to MSN and then to Skype from there. It was a bit of an uphill battle to get adjusted to post-by-post Roleplaying and I still struggle from time to time. Hopefully you're able to find what you're looking for though. Welcome to the Guild, @Gravity Bounce. I know you mentioned that you dabble in all genres, but is there a type of Roleplay that you're specifically looking to write while on here? Aside from one that involves a good story, that is.
Anything really. I used to be part of a mafia rp on imvu when I was young. Then a few years ago I did a pirate rp but didn't last very long. I'm a huge elder scrolls fan so I kind of want to try something in that realm.
All good options. I believe that Elder Scrolls Roleplays pop up from time to time in the Advanced and Casual sections. You can also try 1x1 to request your own or any of the available sections to post your own interest check. I hope you find what you're looking for at the end of the day. Wow. That link that Bork posted is definitely something. . In all the wrong ways. I'm with Penny that I'm glad that the Guild didn't stand for it. I'd like to believe that was a troll, but who knows anymore. That's definitely a case study on how to NOT approach sensitive topics for sure.
I think the only subject matter I condemn as 'taboo' is misinformation and lying in order to spread an ideology, even if it is a harmless one. You can, of course, spread the truth or embellish if you're writing a novel. But using said novel to intentionally spread information that is false, particularly if it is harmful, is a cardinal sin in my book.
What really stood out to me about your response was this part here and this is definitely not something that I considered when posting this topic. Usually when it comes to discussing taboo, I immediately think of how it affects the characters or reader, but not necessarily the reader's perspective. A very good point indeed.
