After reassuring Lavender that she really was okay, and explaining that she had no idea why anyone would target her after all she really wasn't that remarkable. Brynn felt as normal as anyone else unless they were going after people with non-magic parents. She happened to be the only muggle born in the carriage, not that it made a bit of a difference she was still very magical just like everyone else, end of discussion. After that she refused to talk on the subject, changing the subject to obscure muggle things anytime it came up.

A couple hours later a witch came along and told them all to get their robes on and that they'd arrive soon. Brynn took this as a happy distraction, excuseing herself to put on the second hand robes that her mother was able to afford. They were a bit too big but that didn't bother Brynn much, it just meant they'd fit next year too.

At hogsmead station and all the way to the castle Brynn stuck close to those she'd known on the train. The giant man was frightening at first, though after a while his demeanor proved quite the opposite. He was a pleasant old fellow and a story teller. Across the lake he told about the giant squid and the merefolk and everything else between his chat with a student up in his boat. Then up to the castle he told about the forest, though they were not to go in it! Finally he left them at the castle with the same women who had saved Brynn hours ago. She soon left them too, going to ensure that everything was ready for the sorting. Brynn turned toward all the friends who'd stuck around. "well here we are, I figure we're about to be sorted isn't this swell," she said excitedly. "I do hope we'll see each other again, even if we do end up in different houses."

Name: Alex Marran
Age: 15
Personality:
Alex is a major downer. It's not his fault his life sucked but he really isn't helping himself. He isn't good at working with others or really working at all. He'd rather sleep all day, or better yet just die. His self esteem is crap. Anything he does he's liable to second guess, because to him he's screwed everything else up so badly.
History:
Alex was born as any other child was, normal and unhappy to be in a world so filled with hatred and filth. Being born in the slums of America didn't help. Yes they where in the America, but it had changed. Before the mutants started popping up and the rebellion and all the wars it was a very nice place to live; rich or poor. But now it was quite the opposite, atleast for the poor. The best Alex's parents could do was join tenant farm after another in the central north america, there at least they had food. Like anything around Alex though, that didn't last long. Starting at 13 everything around him seemed to die, plants were no exception.
Each year the Marran's crops all died. It seemed like bad land at first but after moving several times it seemed more like bad luck that followed. They soon settled for factory work, it was the next most available thing. In the city Alex learned that there were ways to control the death around him. If he hated someone enough they would end up dead from radiation poison. If the neighborhood gangs threatened him their car might explode with their guns and them inside. It was never pleasant when these things happened, he could never hate anyone enough to want them dead. But there he was. Just him and accidentally dead people.
There were people who he loved to and they ended up dead too. His parents for example fell horridly ill, then found that they had cancer in many of their organs and that they both were going to die. It was a long awful death. For almost a year they suffered scraping together as much money as they could to leave Alex with. There wasn't enough money in the world to make up for their deaths. There would never be enough money to convince him he didn't kill them.
Alex had nothing left in the world, no home or family. He wandered for a while. Drifting from city to city, avoiding people in general. He stumbled across Next Generation by luck and figured maybe it was his luck break to get his life together.
Powers/Abilities: Nuclear physiology- Takes in nuclear energy near by and can manipulate it in a way that can be harmful towards others.
This looks cool, I'm interested.

Brynn stared at them dumfounded. They weren't dead and they were worried about her. That was it, before she could stop then tears began making their way down her face. The whole experience was just too much to take in all at once.

"you're all alive? She questioned in disbelief. To her it was some sort of mirical that they weren't hurt at all. She wiped her face off with her sweater sleeve, drying her tears before answering anyone. "I'm fine, really," Brynn said though she didn't know if that was entirely true. Aside from being confused and scared she was perfectly alright so it wasn't a lie.

She had no idea what a 'death eater' was but it sounded dumb. Who would think death sounded apatizing and what would they want with magic children. What would they want with her? She was nobody important, she didn't even know anyone important. She didn't even know how they could've gotten on the train or who they, the death eaters, even were.
Brynn was about to explain to all her new friends, mostly Jay as he had been the one who asked about what they were looking forward to in the first place, about how excited she was for the new school. Her first school. And how she couldn't wait for magic history, and magic gardening, and magic animals, and all kinds of magic spells. She'd want to tell them all about the minister of magic in his big magic office at the ministry that she'd only just heard about existing during her trip in diagon alley. She knew as soon as she saw his smiling news paper face that she wanted to be a minister of magic too. Really though, she hadn't thought about it until when Jay asked about ambitions or whatever.

But she didn't get to say anything, a strange women came in and her friends were all killed. The witch waved her wand and they all fell stock stick with fear on their faces anyway, and everyone know that means you're dead. Brynn had seen enough movies and read enough books to know when someone was dead. Then the women grabbed her, Brynn. Dragged her from the room by her short hair, as she screamed more from the pain of her hair being pulled then the situation, which she didn't understand even a little. She yelled at the witch, something along the lines of "Let me go you best friend murdering old walnut!" or maybe she had called her a burnt buscuit, it didn't matter really for how the tall dark women responded, something about honor and how nice she was, the women was talking about herself not Brynn. Whatever she said wasn't uplifting or in anyway true, and to make matter worse another women showed up. It was all a blur after that, before as well but less so. Brynn was sure she'd be dead soon when the tall women shot another red bolt from her wand, but then the dark women let go and the other women helped her back to the carriage, leaving with a bewildered face and not another word.

Brynn didn't know what to do, she was shaking and by the way her eyes were starting to burn she could tell that soon she would be crying too. And her friends maybe weren't dead and poor Gregory was croaking away again sounding like a drowning monkey, not even the cute kind. And what is anyone supposed to do about everyone almost dying and a sad frog. @SouffleGirl123@Weird Tales@Dutchess Sarah@BlackPanther

"I think all the houses sound like good places, huffelpuff especially." She said with an air of positivity. They'd already had this conversation, though there was no way Jay could've known that. Past house rivalry the houses offered a vast and interesting history, filled with adventures and headmasters and mistresses. In other words there was a lot to talk about concerning the houses.
Gregory, Brynns frog let out a disgruntled sounding croak, a sound matching it's melting appearance. Brynn gave the frog a loving look before nudging its face with her finger and hushing it. Figuring Gregory needed water or food she returned him to the clear plastic box in her backpack, leaving the top unzipped so he'd have light and cool air.

Brynn looked over at the door, settling on the boa underneath the tall boys chin. "Hello there!" She squeaked, eyeing the snake. She loved reptiles, snakes were some of the best. Snakes as a matter of fact were one of her favorite animals, right after frogs and lizards. The new boy's snake was like none she'd seen before, and as every thing she'd seen from the moment she'd gotten the letter, she wondered if it was a magic snake. She dearly hoped magic snakes were real, she had hopes that everything was magic. Magic trains, magic food, magic people who she was talking to.

She smiled up to the boy. "I uh..I think there's room beside me, I'm Brynn by the way." She said.

"Anything of the trolley, dears"
Brynn gazed past her at all of the odd looking foods. She had no idea what any of the items were except the things lavender had just gotten. She was curious to try wizard food, and having a few knuts and galleons left over she decided to buy a few things. "Oh, yes please," Brynn chirped "could i have one of those redish lolipos, and one of those cake things in the front," The trolley women, quite used to muggleborn students, was rather good at guessing which things Brynn was indicating. The women gladly exchanged them for the small bronze coins Brynn handed her before looking to the other students in the apartment.

Brynn was already picking at her purchases, wondering if the cake had magical fruit or regular fruit in it. After a short mulling over she came to the conclusion that it really didn't matter all that much. After the first bite it was obvious that the cake was at the very least magicked to taste better, it was sweeter and more full of flavor than anything she'd ever had before.

Swallowing the last bit of cake she glanced over at lavender, who she had noticed had said something. "I think we're just supposed to have on our robes before we leave the train." She said casually before giving the now purple-blue lolipop a try.
