Brynn wondered if she aught to feed Gregory anything when she remembered not only did she feed him before she'd even left For the train, he wasn't even in the great Hall. She'd left him saftly in his cage with the rest of her things, hopefully he'd be okay.

Back in the conversation though. Brynn hadn't really caught most of what he said except for the last part. "Well, I know all about what I've read about magic. But I never really knew about magic until I got the letter for Hogwarts. I mean I read peoples minds sometimes and changed stuff into different stuff, but I think most wizard kids are like that, so yeah. What about you? " she said with confidence. She figured that her experience wasn't much different than anyone else's, though maybe magic born people had it a bit easier with magic knowledge and what not.

Brynn really hadn't expected him to know about Stephen King, and so was pleasantly surprised. She'd read quite a few of his stories, though she preferred non-fiction. The problem with non-fiction though was that it ended up with lots of different authors, and she never really paid much attention to them unless the book was in a series.

"Um well, I don't really have a favorite. I guess Hemmingway was pretty good, he was kinda long winded though. But i liked Marcus Zusak too, even if he wrote about sad things. I really don't have a favorite, I love them all." She exclaimed.

Bishop seemed like a wonderful person so far. And with a lovely rat, she just couldn't help but admire it. " Your rat is so pretty, in some places in India they are worshipped as godly messengers. They're also very clean and friendly, I wish my mom would've let me keep one as a pet. "

Brynn positively beamed, sure she though she'd been stuck in a house full of people she didn't know, but it was the house she had wanted! Things only got better from there as Bishop joined the table. He seemed so, sad, maybe. It was hard to tell. She took his hand, shaking it graciously. "You too Bishop, it'll be nice knowing someone already. " She trailed off as the food appeared. Sure Charlie had said there would be food but Brynn had never imagined that it would be so much. She didn't think she'd seen that much food in her life. To herself she made a not to visit the kitchen to thank the elves and maybe hug a few of them, they clearly deserved it.

After piling the tastiest looking things onto her plate, and sampling a few, she returned her gaze to Bishop. " You've heard of Stephen King right, he's an American horror story author. He's got the same last name as you too," she said in attempt to make polite dinner conversation.

Brynn loves literally everyone its all good *3*

As Isaak explained quidditch Brynn could almost feel her interest in the game seeping away. Beaters what kind of name was that. What awful sport would literally have a position just for hitting rocks at other people, rude. Luckily some other kid, Callum, came along and distracted him.

With the majority of everyone talking about trying out for quidditch or house teams or whatever Brynn scooted closer to the boy behind Karen who'd not said much.

"Hi, I'm Brynn, I don't think I caught your name though, " she said, hoping he'd not felt left out.

Brynn was really impressed by miss Karen Diana Irving mcGravy's introduction. She was so sophisticated, if she didn't look so young Brynn would've thought she was a teacher. She didn't really know if she aught to curtsey back so she didn't.
"I'm Brynn Green, but most people don't use last names unless they're adults. I hope you don't mind if I just call you Karen, its a lovely name by the way. " Brynn introduced, smiling and waving at the strange eyed boy hiding behind Kearen.

She didn't really know anything about quidditch except that it was a wizard sport, and now was the perfect chance to find out. She peered over at Isaak. "Um, Isaak, " she piped up. " What exactly is quidditch. I know it's a sport, but what's all the excitement around it for?"
What sort of things will we have available as we wake up? Surly we have some equipment, even if we were meant to wake up in a better environment.
@Harbinger
Is this still a thing?

Charlie had started talking about new things that Brynn had never heard of. Elves were real, what, so cool. Brynn had so many questions: were they tall or short? Cute like lord of the rings elves? What did they eat? Where was the kitchen? Could she meet elves? She wondered about quidditch too, she'd heard of it a little but it still seemed strange, was it like football or baseball? Brynn had no idea.

@TheHangedMan
Before she got to any if her questions though something distracted her. Brynn peered around her group, spotting someone waving. She didn't really know who she was but thought it polite to wave back. After all why not she looked nice, really everyone looked nice. With a smile she waved at her and signaled her to come over. The more friends the better.
Whatever it was those idiots stuck Jay in a room for was never going to be accomplished. He and Alpha hadn't even managed to pry the door open by the time the gaurds came and took them off to their own separate places before lunch.

Hours past before they came for him. He was less lucky at escaping and only managed one good punch at the guards before he was handcuffed and dragged off to the cafeteria.

Like other uncooperative demis they used starvation as a punishment. Jay didn't care, they could sit him in a room full of food all they wanted to, nothing they offered could be considered tastful anyway. Or so he told himself.

He sat with a guard by the wall watching others move about freely. That was the one thing he couldn't lie to himself about wanting; freedom. For now though he distracted himself with hassling the guard. He was a young fellow and obviously startled by the descriptions Jay could come up with of how to kill.

Whispering threats was not what he wanted to do, but it was the best way to ignore his hunger.
