Are Medusa's body hairs actually just tiny snakes?

Bio

I'm a sucker for romance, sci fi, fantasy and just about any modern city with a twist like monster hunting or super powers. Been writing for years, I didn't learn how to read till I was 12 so the moment I got the hang of it, I could not stop. Filling journals with stories one after the other, my younger sister eventually got me into role playing and it created a monster. I will play with you all day if you reply, post for post and will give you as much detail as I can.

She was in the process of taking out the back of fuago, the entire circuit board coming out in neatly tagged wired onto the table like a dissected abomination. Looking up at the words the red head stared in confusion and shock. Her hands still working in memorized paths on their own as she stayed silent till Brick, forge..was done.

"You sound like my sister. Shes been known to crossdress so her clients can't track her to me." A smile on her face she held out the fusion core to grant more space for a cooling system. "You don't have to worry about me telling anyone, remember I'm locked up in my garage and I find no reason to do so, your helping me and just trying to make a living."
Shrugging her shoulders she looked out to see that Chase was still standing guard. "If he knew though, well I don't think that would be a good thing...."

Getting back to work she blinked at the offer, "Oh umm, nah I'm fine, less distractions if I don't have to focus on eating. But thanks for the offer." She was keeping her head down, going through the patterns and wiring that she jotted down time after time.

Hour by hour, piece by piece. Auaroa found herself smiling at the work. Tired eyes scanning what was looking to be a beauty that could throw her weight around. "You are indeed a favourite." Wiping her brow she looked over at Brick, a grin on her face as though she were a child that had just about finished her chores. "Just have to get the backing on and she should be set right?

About to continue, the woman whipped her head around. Looking at the door that separated them from the rest of the shop. Something was off, a scurry, a noise, her gaze focused she kept her ears keen, waiting to hear something else to betray that something was off.

I'm making my character last so that I can try to make everything even, but I always used duel blades or the insect glaive, like to rush in and doge like a mad woman.

The quiet steps of lightened feet hovered through the halls. The tapping of a cane loyally following suit. Sticking out like a bloom in the dead of winter, a figure moved as though lost. Her head brushing past the shoulder's of few, her eyes gently closed in a meditated face as she held her cane. Hair as white as snow dressed in riding cloths. Three small books strapped to her belt, bound in leather and locked up tight.

With bated breath she reached out to what she thought was a person, fingers barely grasping fabric only to be lost once more. A sigh escaping her lips as she was foiled again. "Its as if I was brought forth into lore that will scorch." In reply to her strange words and tiny voice, a formless shadow appeared on her shoulder without her knowing, only for the silhouette to start to vanish as she continued through the halls, her hand grasping a walking cane that was carved in ebony and painted in silver of a horse at the end. "Come now it must be near, they said I should soon be clear."

Shes been listening through each building, trying to find where she was supposed to go. Where she was supposed to stay. Her family telling her that she would have had a guide yet that person never came. And so the albino girl kept tapping her cane, continuing to reach out for sounds that she singled from the others, trying to find a person that would help her in such a strange place. Shes never thought she would have come here, she was supposed to be in the Olympics, a rider, and now she was in a school for super hero’s? It was as though someone decided to write her tale in someone else’s book.

Once again she reached out, hands grasping fabric she found a smile tug on her lips, the fabric seeming choreas, used and loved for quite some time. "Excuse me, but may I ask, where is the place in which we must stay? I've been quite lost all day."

Ohhh, an obsession with not just a lagiacrus but an ivory one? I like him, room for improvement but not starting out at the vary bottom. Accepted.

Looks like we're getting a lot of verity in hunters.

"Well than I'll start working on the power core, and fusion cells, lets see here, fusion core, unwelded still..." Mumbles escaping her she began to go through the pieces using mostly touch. Her chair a bit too short for the job yet she seemed to be able to get by on memory alone. Hands small enough to get through the smaller compartments without so much as a scratch everything in the back began to neatly and carefully stack up across the table.

"I'll have to say Brick you really know what your doing. Last time I was able to work with someone this experienced was when the brotherhood of steel came over." Setting down the tools she wiped her brow, skin stained with oil and grease she gave a smile. "Ah there we are, now just got to put you back together and you should be feeling right as rain."

Already looking through the ammo, sheets and finally the power converter, a whistle escaping her as she began to see the shape it was in. "Wow someone took care of you when you were a minigun, got to count myself lucky." Reaching over to grab the blue prints she looked up in curiosity, "so, I got my knowledge from books, how bout you?"
@Gurren1

had no idea that was a thing, and guess I can move tis along a bit more.

Yep, we're trying to have a strong feel of the games by putting in as much freedom during jobs as we can. While still having elements that could make a job fail so that the players really have to work to advance. Yet at the same time are still able to create a story that could not have been made with the games lack of one.

If you ever have questions on monsters just ask and I or one of the other players who are still knee deep in hunting will gladly give you a hand in remembering everything.
@MonsieurShade

if there is a job with a monster that is sometimes underwater and you take it, than you can expect yourself to be fighting underwater.
just posting so I don't loose thee forum
@Nevix

not as a starting weapon dios slicers are made by having to hunt the brachydios which is arguably one of the most powerful monsters. Your aloud to get weapons and armour like that in the future but you have to start with weapons your hunter could have acquired. Duel blades themselves could be things like matched slicers, jaggid shotels, matched hatches, pretty much anything that is under a 180 starting attack power.
You can have your character customize his or hers existing blades though, like painting it or adding to its appearance to make it really fit that character and your weapons can and would have to be upgraded and changed to eventually being able to get a dio slicer set. The tougher things you kill, the better weapons and armour you get.

You can find every kind of duel blade set that have been brought to monster hunter. Anything that is 180 or under is fair game as a starting weapon.http://monsterhunter.wikia.com/..
