Are Medusa's body hairs actually just tiny snakes?

Bio

I'm a sucker for romance, sci fi, fantasy and just about any modern city with a twist like monster hunting or super powers. Been writing for years, I didn't learn how to read till I was 12 so the moment I got the hang of it, I could not stop. Filling journals with stories one after the other, my younger sister eventually got me into role playing and it created a monster. I will play with you all day if you reply, post for post and will give you as much detail as I can.

Honestly I always liked that idea of killing people who vanish without warning. Both of my characters are stuck right now bit its only been a few days. The idea of death for their characters gets people motivated to get the story to start moving again.

"Well best way we can figure out how far we want to set up is finding a estimated diameter. Oh wait I got it!" A grin on Aurora's face she wheeled herself to her awaiting sister. Eden standing quietly simply observed what was going on around her. Eyes keen for anything that proved to feel odd in her mind anyway.
"Sis, can you figure out how far the vault door would fall with that hunting thing you do?" Honestly she had no idea how Eden's trade worked but shes seen the woman do some pretty amazing guesses just with the estimated weight she had in her head. A brow raised the older woman patted the red head, a small smile on her features. "Sure"

Waving to the others Aurora sat in her chair next to Brick and waited, watching Eden find some foot holdings in the surrounding area as she began to climb. "Shes always been the athletic one. Told me about this trick before. Shes used the shadows from the object and done something with the time of day to figure out where a knife would drop from her standing point. No idea how it works she told me but I forgot."
Minutes passing by she found her hands growing tired, limbs shaking slightly from the sheer uneven force that the vault provided. Yet with one last heave she dragged herself to the top. Overlooking the camp she felt the trickling winds and the unrelenting heat pounding on her back.
No, not the time for sight seeing. Grabbing her scope she began to see the exact line the shadow made, limning the top to the vary end of the shadow only to find she was off. A sigh escaping her lips she sat down, grabbing a stick she began to write in the dirt. Equations of basic algebra yet it was all she really knew as she went through line and line of numbers to figure out the time and length.
One last look at her work the woman nodded her head, mentioning the others to move she brought out her riffle, aiming it at her point away from anyone as she pulled the trigger to create a marker a bit further passed where the group was.

A grin on Aurora's face she looked back at Brick. "Well thats the danger zone. Bigger than I thought it would be. All we have to do is make our points from there and see how well she runs first. After that we'll have an open vault."

Hearing the answer Iris felt a smile spreading over her features. Someone who valued a collage school and tests first? Yep he was mad. "Let me guess, your also paying for your tuition and saying your grateful even though you wish to pull out your hair because of the hoops this place makes you go through to make them seem better."
Hearing the footfalls behind her she was able to figure out that her brother was having the same idea. Holding her cane like she was an aristocrat she tilted her head, trying to get a good visual of him in her mind. His voice was a little further away, he had to be taller than her. He sounded young to, but hes a collage student walking around with the small hint of beer so maybe a year or two older than the twins.
"Well we were on the look for someone who is mad and enjoys hats. Only a mad man would go study for finals because that means you have decided to not do any studying before hand. Than there is the fact that I can smell alcohol on your breath, not to be rude I'm sure its unnoticeable for someone who can see."

Both of the twins tilted their head, a smile on their features as the Tweedles cheered in their head at the idea that they found someone so fast. "Sorry one last question, and thank you for the time. But we're looking for Alice."

Iris and Siris never went to school for a reason, they never had to. The twins were seen as something that a writer would create. One blind the other deaf yet both were remarkably intelligent when it came to problem solving, its how they done everything. Arts, dance, music, languages and interaction, it was all seen as one large puzzle. Its why they could separate, they wanted to solve them apart as well as together and this hunt for Alice was just an even larger one.

"Aright, lets go around for now than, circle back, find some more advantage points and hit them after we looked around a bit more." She was about to turn around, every move as quiet as she could make it, with her head ducked down she mentioned them to follow to see if their was a way around them from here.
Yet her hear stopped when she heard chaos below her, a woman screaming at the jaggi she turned back, hands on the ground and eyes wide to see a smaller woman welding a hunter's hammer with furry. "What in the world?" The jaggi scattered yet the leader was already calling for more, worry on her features at the display she looked to her hunters to try and figure out if they were seeing the same thing. The beast snapping and giving out it's dog like cries it began to twist it's body, using it as a battering ram right towards the young woman.

"I think our choice was already made for us. I can get him away from her, she may be a spit fire but going like that is bound to make some mistakes." She was already unsheathing her blades, a glare in her gaze for a moment at the scene below only to take a quick breath and shake her thoughts. No, her father trained her better than that, never go on the battle filed with a angry mind.
"Well. lets see how well we work together, may our blades stay true." Going back to the ledge she began to slide down, oh how she wished she had some time to make a plan before going against that thing but she had no choice in the matter. The huntress was going to get herself killed if she didn't get some help.

Even though Reema was large, square shoulders and built like a tank she was surprisingly nimble. Rolling out of the way in the dirt she gave the beast one quick slash before rolling out from under it's tail. Running to the right she offered herself up as bait. Watching the beast make his way to her only for her to roll again. Moves smooth, quick and agile yet it only meant that the blows she gave were not nearly as damaging as something like a great sword. The rush of battle began to flow through her veins, a calculating glint in her eyes yet it shined with the rush of doing what she loved.
Seeing the huntress she worked with the beast, a dance through the caverns she could hear the smaller jaggi call out as she coaxed his back end towards the axe wielder. "His tail, get it!" It's all she was able to say before she brought up her blades in a X over her body, feeling the force of his head bashing into her abdomen yet she stood her ground and slid a few feet, shaking it off as she felt her heart pounding a mile a minute.

"Hopefully Chase can hold her, he was shot in the shoulder, but I'd feel better with you up there monitoring while I keep an eye on the power output on the tesla converter, seems you got the roles right. Anything to keep her from loosing power is going to help us a lot in the long run. Once we do it for real though, we're gonna have to find a way to be out of the danger zone cause that door has a chance of falling once it's cut."

Listening to the conversation though Aurora found herself double checking when she herd Fuago being called a weapon, a shake of the head she looked back at her baby. "He didn't mean that" she mouthed, yet she rolled over. "Trust me, I never had a problem of the sort happen with any of my creations and I been making things like her for a few years now with even less. and honestly, look on the bright side, the explosion would cause the door to come down."
@Crossfire@Draconequis@Sohtem@Gurren1

It was Eden who spoke when everyone was asking for the male's name, a small glint in the woman's eye as she stopped, standing near Aurora for a moment. "Andrew," voice cut short as always she leaned her head from side to side, cracks snapping through the air as she listened to the exchange.

Aurora though wheeled a little ways from her sister, listing to Brick she nodded her head at the offer. "Seems like that is the best course, Start off Next to the crack to see how she dose in unmarked areas. If shes too weak than we can see what they got, upgrade her power output and hope she has enough before she burns." Running a hand through her hair she sighed. "Lets just hope the guys we work with can actually follow instructions. Every second we have is gonna count, you do realize we mess up at all we'll loose our chance right?"
@Lunar

OBR is the biggest faction in her, outer banks republic. Every faction is written out on the first page of the ooc.

Rex is one of the characters, hes only had two or three posts so you should read up on him.
@crossfire@Gurren1

Looking back to Brick Aurora began to think. They had lot at there disposal it seems. "What do you think? test run first or figure out what we have to work with?" It was only right to ask, Brick knew what he was doing and she liked having a second mind's opinion on the matter here, he knew more than she did thats for sure.
yet seeing a hand offered to her she took it. Fuago was made for this exact reason, no reason to not turn her away. "Great, lets see what's on the other side. Name's Aurora."
@Draconequis

So you rolled an 8, and than having 1 character gets you 1 stat so you have a 9 for your current job.

Something keeps you from finishing your job but you were so close. (Anything under 10 is failing) You can get as creative as you want, the targets aren’t there, your weapon breaks, a giant monster shows up whatever you want, but something happens to you.
@Sohtem@Draconequis

Raising a brow at the question all Eden had done was shrug, already moving away due to the idea that Aurora was in a situation that she didn't know of. With ease she went down the hill, leaning back using her boot to dig into the ground. "Your problem, not mine." Her voice even more raspy than usual she was already getting to the edge.
Yet the entire time her hand still rested at the hilt of her blade. It was a pretty obvious thing about her, anyone showing themselves as a threat would be cut down.
