Are Medusa's body hairs actually just tiny snakes?

Bio

I'm a sucker for romance, sci fi, fantasy and just about any modern city with a twist like monster hunting or super powers. Been writing for years, I didn't learn how to read till I was 12 so the moment I got the hang of it, I could not stop. Filling journals with stories one after the other, my younger sister eventually got me into role playing and it created a monster. I will play with you all day if you reply, post for post and will give you as much detail as I can.

Neather am I, I'm a female who spends her nights putting on fake bears to talk in a raspy voice and play video games till dawn. Where I am thats the saddest thing to all except others who do or wish to do the same. XD
Love the witcher, Find myself binging it for 13 hours at a time, cosplay Garalt beard and all because of how badass he is.
Moving to the truck she sucked in her breath to see the monster that the twisted metal had destroyed. "Man your uglier than my uncle Ted.." The words were meant for her, yet her face soon took a look of sorrow when she realized a young girl, not much younger than herself was dead in the back. Whoever was with her looking to have been close she went over to the body with a lump in her throat. "Should at least do somethen of a rest, burn the body so the the scavengers don't get her."

Pulling at her pouches she produced a few matches, dried grass from the side of the road she offered to help move the girl away from the wreck to lay her to rest.

Hearing the other male caused her to look back though. "James...Bit shorter than most, blond hair, brown eyes. Acts tough, high school age?" Her words quick causing an accent to come through she found her eyes widening. "Is he aright? Where is he?" With a warmth at her back she moved to grab him when he began to leave, speaking about her farm she began to shake her head. "Going the wrong way, come now I'll offer a place of sanctuary as payment for helpen him. You to, might as well I got a girl with my horse back in the woods, more pepole to stand guard at night I'll say."
Aright well I just offered a link to a few people so they have choices. See ya guys tomorrow, gots to play some witcher.
Reena

Looking back at Alyssa the red head simply shook. "No, hun you don't understand, Mr Peterson gives his walks around the place but he has no idea that there are pepole running for their lives from the city to get here. If you want you can come, Miss Peterson I'll be right back." The old woman nodding her head offering a smile she leaned back. The moment the door closed though caused her eyes to darken slightly at the thoughts that went through her mind.

It was getting dark, she had to finish this fast. Crossbow slapping her back she jogged through the grass. Heading to a small trail head the woman knelt down, looking at the tracks of a worn in boot she began to follow. An easyness about her vanishing when she heard the yells of an old man.
Like a bolt she took off through the woods. Branches and leaves slapping her face, biting her skin as she ran through. Taking sharp turns based on the sounds alone that she knew had to be the old man she was following. Yet she was not prepared for what she was expecting to see from the noise.
That girl was not lying, people, cloths dyed with their own blood, bullet holes they aimlessly grabbed for a man with greying hair as he kicked and yelled trying to get away. Their jaws moaning and slapping uselessly. She was quick, that was no person. With a breath Reena unslung her crossbow, two bolts flying through the air, aim true as they landed in their skulls one after another. "Mr Peterson!" Already she was at his side, pushing the bodies away. "Are you aright?"

"Yeah I'm, I'll manage. Oh than you Reena, don't know what would come of me if you hadn't shown up. But, but did you have to, to..." She already knew what he was going to say and honestly the woman was not going to think of it. They were off, something was wrong that caused her to not hesitate when she pulled that trigger. That was her proof they were not human. You always hesitated at the idea of ending a person's life. Felt a twisting in your gut if one was too close to your danger zone.
She had nothing of the sort with those things.
"Come on, I'm taking you home, you sure your aright?"

The man nodded, she could feel him shaking like a leaf in the fall as she lead him through the trails. "Come on, your wife is worried about you."
And indeed she was, the woman was looking him over yet the old man simply waved her off, assuring her that he just got scratched up a bit when he was drug to the ground. "Don't worry Mary, I'm fine, I wouldn't be if it wasn't for Reena." Turning to her he gave the woman a hug, Reena returning it with a pat. "Stay safe okay, lock the doors don't answer unless you know them. I'll be back to check on you guys."

Giving her words of reassurance Reena turned back to her companion. "Come on, its getting late, I have a stable farm set up that you can stay in for now. But we should hurry, I'm on an adrenalin rush right now I do not want to be out here with whatever those where walking around."
Already she was mounting up, swinging her leg over Epona's back she offered a hand to the girl. Giving the mare a kick they were already back on the trail. Sticking close to the roads, to other people who were normal as they went yet she found herself with cold blood at the sounds of screams and the smell of oil. "Car crash, hey, you want to come with me or you want me to put Epona here on Auto walk? She knows her way back, won't go anywhere but straight home. Key under the mat just lock yourself in wait. If not than keep your head down out here."

She couldn't believe what rotten luck she was getting. Everywhere she turned there were problems but it just wasn't in her to turn her back on people she might know. "If you want her to go just say barn, she'll go. Shes dying to get home anyway so she won't fuss." She already had her crossbow drawn, instincts kicking in to see the carnage with wide eyes.
Death, so much death.
"My god what happened here.." Voice trailing off she saw two people still alive, a thankful save found her boots clicking on the street. "You two injured?"
@Knight of Doom

"Yay you found one!"
"But who is it?"
"Its hatter you idiot!"
"No its not, look at his teeth he has to be the hare!"

Rubbing her skull all Siris had done was nod at first. "Yes and I'm afraid we share two of them who won't stop arguing. My brother is deaf and hes told me that he wished it was the same in his head they get so bad." Offering a smile the woman stretched her back holding out her hand in open air even though it was a bit off course.
" Sorry about my first words, they told us to find someone mad that was close by so we had to modernize our reasoning and deduct it down to you. My name is Iris, and my brother over here is Siris." The entire time she moved her hands in sign language, the brother more focused on them as she began doing so with the new comer as well.

Yet Siris was still focused on his sister's lips, only flicking his gaze when he saw the red head begin to move his as well. His eyes widening at times when he began to hear wisps of words in his own voice with each movement. Not much, simple tiny sounds, fractions of words that fascinated him.
Realizing that he hadn't really done anything he began to sign into his sister's hand. Watching as her lips moved in sync to what he had to say so the red head could see as well. "Dose that mean you know as much as us? We just started this today and its already interesting." He smirked when he watched his sister nod in agreement. Yes, it was interesting, the best game of hid and seek. If only they were kids they would have allowed their imagination to run wild.

Taking his sister's hand he began to lead her, mentioning the other to follow as he watched them speak. His sister pulling away to sign. "He's right, we woke up and they were in there. Honestly we thought the life style we had was finally causing us to go insane. All we know is that we have to find Alice, and that we'll find something out soon. Both of us thought it was a new problem to solve thought to try and now we're here. One called you hatter and the other called you hare, so can you clarify?"

Sitting down back at their table Iris put the cane on her lap. Thoughts running through her head as they tried to figure things out only to be shattered by the voices again.
"Yes we got to find Alice!"
"Come on Hatter ya got to know something, she liked you twice as mad."
'Its the hare! March tell em, tell em!"
" No its Hatter! She even noticed your missing sock!"

"Enough both of you! We can't help you find Alice if you shatter every thought we get." A sigh escaping her lips Iris found herself leaning back. Feeling her brother's fingers she began to translate for him. "Well Siris here was thinking maybe we could use our names as leverage in this game. You see we do tours, see and hear no evil they call it. Its a show for acquired tastes I have to admit, and if these voices are indeed Alice's friends."
"We are her friends!"
"We had tea you know!"
Gritting her teeth the woman flicked her eyes open for only a moment in the thrashing voices. Milky white being all that could be seen. "Anyway if they are her friends than she must be a strange one. Maybe someone with strange interests. It could be simple to get the names of everyone who ordered tickets and narrow it down to Alice names. Tell me dose anyone know what she looks or sounds like?"

"Not if the girls get to him first." Chase whispered in an easy raspy tone, leasurly holding his shot gun as he took a calm stance. He's dealt with people like this before. Drunken fools that are usually found in the gutter the next morning. The guy didn't seem intoxicated though, he wasn't stumbling, his words clear as the barrel of Aurora's pistol. Nah, he was just stupid, least thats what he thought. He already could feel the killer's instinct at his back.
"Eden has the guy in her sights. He takes a step near Aurora and hes a dead man so if ether of you want a shot in there you better do it quick."

He could see Aurora set her jaw, hes never really seen her angry before. But now he was, and it only sparked a curiosity to find out what on earth would be turning in the red head's brain.

Eden on the other hand laid down, the rocks indenting her skin she did not say a word. She didn't have to so high up. She just kept her eye on the scope. Her finger on the trigger waiting for any move that guy made. His hands, his stance, she was looking at him like a future kill. She was waiting, tracking. A male now being seen as prey she was already waiting and looking for the perfect moment to let her line be used.
sounds like a plan. If Always comes back than she can say that my charecter left her at the farm they are at right now.
@Sohtem @Gurren1 @Crossfire @Draconequis

Aurora looked up, eyes wide for a moment she carefully felt for her pistol, the voice cracked through the camp. Angry, loud, a voice that reminded her of the bandits that they had to fight not too long ago. She flicked her gaze to where Eden was, the woman was already on her belly, most likely keeping the new comer in her sights.
Yet worry turned to anger when he called Fuago, HER Fuago a dildo. Eyes narrowing she began to wheel her chair only to feel Chase grab the back of it. "Stay back for now."

"Last I checked the damn thing doesn’t have a name on it anymore." Oh man she was tempted, she was so tempted to go off on him. To shoot him in a knee cap and demand that he know what Fuago is. That is her baby and no one should ever be talking about her like that. Yet the hand on her shoulder gave it a squeeze, the voice of her sister ringing through her head. "Don't go letting your opponent know what your up to. Less they know the more you have against them."

So she held her tounge, keeping her weapon concealed for now she looked around at her companions, trying to find a way out of this. Honestly, it was just awkward, an awkward encounter that she was pretty sure her sister was planning on putting a hole through.
She felt the need to roll her eyes at Roland's comment, there was no way the woman would keep to her preferred ways if it meant endangering another person. "Consider it a rarity!"

"That woman is indeed an angry one"
spitting at the stone Reema found herself smiling. Her commands keeping the smaller ones away she locked eyes with the great Jaggi, that same moment in time when she was attacked all those years ago still playing in her mind whenever she fought one of the beasts. She never held a grudge for them, they were just doing what nature intended, but it did give her a connection to the creatures more so than average.
Again she charged, bewilderment when she saw the smaller woman yell and scream. "And they say I'm a monster" right before she met the charging Jaggi she slid underneath him, her blades cutting to the under belly causing the beast to roar in anger as she ended up on the other side. A small group nipping at Jacque she waisted no time in stabbing the beast with her window of chance. The blades singing as crimson painted the steel.
"Trade with ya? Take over for me a bit I'll cover ya, he needed something a bit bigger than these guys." Looking for the best course of action she found that even though her blades were causing the leader to anger and snap, crimson only flecked at his hide. "I gave you some openings in his scales so don't hold back there."

This was what it meant to be a hunter. To trust someone else to bring the kill. To work together, these were her comrades and they had to work together for the best outcome. Already she was working on crowed control, her quick movements perfectly suited to being offensive with the smaller Jaggi. Instead of sitting and waiting she dug in and fast, piercing only to slash into a broth as they hoped around trying to get the best of her. "Not today little ones."
