Are Medusa's body hairs actually just tiny snakes?

Bio

I'm a sucker for romance, sci fi, fantasy and just about any modern city with a twist like monster hunting or super powers. Been writing for years, I didn't learn how to read till I was 12 so the moment I got the hang of it, I could not stop. Filling journals with stories one after the other, my younger sister eventually got me into role playing and it created a monster. I will play with you all day if you reply, post for post and will give you as much detail as I can.

I'll make another post tonight to offer up some interaction if anyone is stuck
Did not know that, thank you!
Just reread my last post. Sorry it's so muddled and wonky, I typed it on my phone XD
Feel free to jump in and mess with Reena or make a friend. Just remember, I post fast.
Reena

The air was cool, Reena still couldn't go outside. Her moves were sluggish as she carried the black case over her shoulders. A tired gaze, but she didn't want to get in Diamond's way. She's never been around a werewolf on a day..night like this, and the last things she wanted was to annoy the woman, and let her get whatever she needed done. She's been far kinder than she ever would have expected and wanted to keep it that way with her room-mate. She even left a note in their room explaining the situation and that she was wishing her to stay safe.

For now, she needed to calm her nerves. This last month had not been easy for her, while the vampires had mostly been civil and kind with her. Offering her help when needed, sharing notes so long as she was doing the same in turn. The werewolves could smell her fear and many of them took advantage of it. Almost to a degree of bullying as she would be pushed in the halls, or stalked until she wanted to run and hide. Laughter would always escape them when they were able to get the red head shaking behind her book, ready to fall at the slightest of winds. It was maddening, if Diamond wasn't her roommate, she would have probably thought all of the wolves were harsh beasts that prayed on the weak.

Classes were a whirlwind, she loved them. Her notes were detailed and she was looking at the world in wonder. Defence classes had to be tweaked a little until she got used to using her legs, and it was slowly becoming her favourite. The ability to run, to jump. It was always enough to bring a smile to her face, and she was known to run up stairs, or skip down halls when no one was looking. She wanted to take full advantage of her new life, she wanted to run over the very mountains and back before she woke up and found herself in a dream. The thought still gnawed at her mind and would make her scared to go to sleep every night. She missed her old life, she longed for the sun and craved her family and friends, but she never wanted to see her chair again. Knowing she turned the creation into a sad twisted mess was somehow a freeing thought.

The sound of her footsteps were quieter, clicking in the massive halls, illuminated by the soft glow of the lamp lights. She still wanted to pull those heavy drapes back, she wanted to see the sun that she knew was sitting outside. Yet whenever she walked closer to the looming fabric, her very instincts would hold her back, rein her in as she pulled her hand away. Her gaze slowly looking up at the drape before she began to walk again. The large sets of stairs coming into view and showing her favourite spot aside from the outside. The red head recently found out that there was a set of chairs and a table under the stairs, a comfortable little world that hid her away long enough that she could get some fresh air and stay away from others, the sound she made muffled by the overhang but sounding perfect to her.

Peaking her head inside and finding the space empty. Reena wandered in, sliding the cello case off her shoulders as she made her way to a violet chair that she sunk into. She never sat in such a comfy set before. A love seat and another chair took up the space, creating a rather cozey little environment that allowed the woman to finally have a easy breath. Experienced hands unclasping the case to reveal the elegant instrument. Cheery wood with soft curves and an intricate design carved into the back. Her only companion that travelled with her between lives. It felt as natural in her hands as her very bones, resting comfortably against her shoulder as it's neck brushed her hair away. She felt her very heart slow down when she pulled her bow and began to play, putting all her unspoken words into music.
Bump it
Reena

She looked like a powerful woman, confidence radiating off her every feature as she felt her new room-mate study her like a tiger. That's what she reminded her of, she smelled of the wolves back home, but, different, prouder more elegant. She was closer to the large royal gate of one of the big cats who seemed to be holding all their strength behind an easy going gaze. Was this what a actual werewolf felt like? Or was it different now she was changed?
Reena almost jumped when she was told that she didn't have to be afraid, that the wolf girl, of all people wouldn't bite. She's heard the joke before, but now it only caused her cheeks to take a dusting of light pink.

"O-oh of course! Well, you're not the first werewolf I met, and he was kind enough not to bite ether...I mean...That came out weird..." Her voice trailed off as she tried to save herself, her hands twisting their fingers together as she looked down at them. Silence stretching between them causing her heart to quicken in an awkwardness, she was sure the older woman could smell and feel. "Sorry, things are just...strange..."

Strange was an understatement, she had only been changed for about two weeks now. Her world was flipped upside down only to be shaken and turned backwards. She was in a new place, with a new life, and she was standing on her own two feet. She actually had to look down again to remind herself of that, thinking for a moment that she was imagining it and that she would be in her chair like it was all some detailed dream. Before her thoughts could get anymore scrambled though, she jumped when she saw a hand held out with the smoothness of a free arrow. Her name filling the room and making her meet the woman's gaze. Diamond Greene, that seemed like a fitting name actually the more she looked at her. "Oh, um, Reena, Reena Durian. It's nice to meet you....And I already said that..." Taking her hand in greeting, she was surprised to find how warm it actually was.

Blinking in surprise when she heard the woman wanted to actually know her. Renna found herself nodding a bit. Weren’t they supposed to hate each other? The fear ebbed in her mind that somehow instincts would take over and the two would be at each other's throats for no real reason other than history. Still, it was a rather relieving thought to know that Diamond was fairly laid back. "Yeah, it would be a little strange to not know each other, I uh..I guess. How has it been so far? Coming here I mean?" She was not the elegant creature her sire was, she fidgeted, her eyes darted around as she pulled at her hair and clothes as if she were uncomfortable to be in her very skin.

She seemed to melt a little at the mention of her cello though. A smile appearing on her lips as she looked back to the case. Pride even drawing on her features when she nodded. "Yeah, I couldn't play sports or anything from a young age so my family got me into music. I'm lucky I was able to bring it, would have gone crazy if I couldn't play here."
@Ejected

I think Diamond and Renna are gonna get along!
