@Double My bad for being obtuse, the bias bit under alignment was for RPers that hadn't encountered alignment before, I broke it down so its easier to understand, especially as I was adding an extra axis to it. You have labelled your character both Good and Neutral, which you can't be unfortunately.

To appease my OCD The Good/Evil Bias needs to be changed to Good but its really a trifling detail, I notice you've done it already in the CHAR post.

Coincidentally @Mr_Pink, I notice your character is like this to, if you could be so kind as to make a decision on Sylvian's alignment that would be wonderful.

@Pie Flavor Power seems fine to me, I'm honestly not that bothered by "powerful" characters as I've seen some with less achieve a lot more.
Alignment: Chaotic Good

Good/Evil Bias? N

...the only bit of culture he was exposed to at the circus was listening to one of the clowns read Mody-Dick, he gave himself the name Ishmael....

Unfortunately we have no copies of Mody-Dick by Herman Melvile, with one L, the well known Dutch author. Have you tried a Pharmacist?

Besides these mistakes, looks good. Consider yourself accepted.

@Legion-114 Those powers are much too vague, defying physics allows you to do anything from levitation to making mini suns. From the name you've given your ability I can infer that you mean to use it to phase out of existence/teleport, but you should have said this if its the case.

Rewrite the power to be less vague about your power and you'll likely get an accept.

You all expressed interest, if still interested jump on over to the OOC!
@OneWayOutMaybe I need to make the OOC more obvious then, thank you. Theres no pressure to join,I'm likely going to have to keep the RP open for its full duration to keep numbers where I'd like them.

@Mr_PinkSailorman Dr. Sylvian accepted
@AnotherLittle Lassie MacKenzie accepted
@MonkeyBusinessThe seriously important details are all good so far, get that Bio done and you'll get an accepted.
@Mr_pinkCertainly not. Cool, I'll look over them tomorrow
@Mr_pinkNo no, I'm just borrowing things that I think will keep the RP interesting
@FantasyChicHello Here from the interest check, I'm ColouredCyan. If you wish to participate, please create a CS.

@SionnieOne like our own, but a mutation means random humans get super powers

@Mr_pinkAlignment is like D&D alignment, its a representation of your character psyche, which tells people how you'll react to a situation and who he's likely to get on with. For most D&D Alignments there is a TVTropes page which breaks down what sort of characters fit in each group.

Unlike D&D Alignment, which is 2D, mine is 3D. it was the result of not wanting to enforce Pro-mutant is good, Pro-human is bad morality on everyone so in addition to your D&D alignment, you have your Mutant/Human Bias.

Behold.

Factions are groups of people with similar goals and similar psyches, the accepted psyches for that faction are denoted by the colours. This probably won't make a lot of sense to most people but its more for me than you guys anyway. An example might help. If your character is Chaotic Good and Pro-Mutant, you'll likely sympathise GJL or ANON. If your character is Chaotic Good and Pro-Human, you'll likely sympathise HSIC or ANON.

Mr. Pink, to me your character sounds more Neutral Good with No Bias (NGN) than NNN, LGN or LNN. This means he'll likely have sympathy with the GREEN party, who on this occasion have gotten it right, Mutants and Humans should be equal and this equality should be acquired by lawful means.

Currently I'm not terribly happy about how the Factions line up. GREEN and SORDR only really exist to provide everyone with a Faction to rally behind but I can imagine a SORDR existing atleast. GREEN is sort of all law abiding citizens, which isn't really a faction. I'd also like more cross over so everyone has more choice, but that means either factions aren't picky about their members or there is an unrealistic number of factions.

I'm thinking factions will provide bonuses and unbonuses to characters that champion them which could add another layer to the RP, but that would only be relevant if people had more choice factions, so we'll see.

Please everyone, feel free to contribute.

Also this world needs more JoJo, its really not popular enough.

@AnotherYou are correct. From the sounds of it, your boy bullying, rad fem would be Chaotic Good and with a Mutant Bias, she'd fit right in with GJL.
@NarcissisticPotato That would be fine so long as it isn't a permanent change either. The biggest problem is removing agency from other player characters so as long as it isn't lasting isn't huge swings in change and requires your characters concentration, its fine.
@NarcissisticPotatoI'm still not sure what people mean by "grounded in reality" considering mutations don't give you superpowers. My judgement is the limit here, show me what you have in mind and I'll tell you if its acceptable.

@mattmanganonWOAH slow down there man, mutation is not an attempt to put limitations on characters ans stop them doing outlandish things, I, as God Man, am imposing that limitation on characters. Mutations are only the vehicle by which they have become common place and less noteworthy, I could have chosen magic/aliens/gods, but I didn't.

This isn't my first Rodeo Mattmanganon.

In this world, no extraterrestrial has ever visited, nor has magic ever actually been any more than parlour tricks or mutant powers. The introduction of TRUE aliens and TRUE sorcery would be extraordinary, like it would be in real life.

Alright, how about this. You can be a magic using alien with precognition BUT, and its a huge BUT, if anyone, including NPCs, works out either you're an alien or using magic, you're character is abducted by the secret service and taken directly to area 51 never to be seen again. Understood?
