Personal Style: Shelly is 5'3" with curly shoulder length dark brown hair, usually tied up behind her right ear with an aging, but still functioning, fluffy Miffy scrunchy. Exceptionally dark green eyes adorn her tan face, dark enough that without good light its tough to see where pupil ends and iris begins. An innocent button nose betrays her age, however her personality will set you straight again. Absolutely not fussed about how she's dressed but always cognisant of the impression it gives and so always fits the situation.

Personality:Michelle is conflict made flesh, a passionate, extroverted individual born into an overtly anti-deviant political family. Her thoughts and feelings on deviancy has caused her a lot of pain and suffering in the past and still only just recovering, in her own way. She uses her own powers as conservatively as possible and hates how much she's used them in her life so far. She'll readily admit she's risk adverse and she'd certainly never let it get in the way of her work but she'd never admit just how risk adverse she really is. Paranoid would certianly describe her behavior in her youth and verging on paranoid is how best to describe her now things are going so well.
Get on Michelle's bad side and fuck me are you in for a disproportionately bad time. You are lucky to just get cussed out because petty revenge is not below Michelle. Your crimes go in the dairy and an appropriate punishment at Michelle's convience will be dispensed, mark her words. Don't take this the wrong way though, Michelle doesn't go out of her way to get people on her bad sides and typically acts like a well adjusted human being and is pretty lenient about mistakes.

How did you discover your powers: It was hard to pin down the exact date Shelly suspected she might have powers but she remembered the day she was sure of it, April 15th 2006, all too well. It was an otherwise ordinary school day except one thing, she didn't like her name any more and so from then on she was going to be called Michelle, and definitely "Shelly" for short, the sort of ordinary thing some children just want to when carving out their identity in their mid teens. And much to her surprise, everyone had forgotten her old name and without much resistance everyone students and teachers alike adopted her new name like they'd been given a forewarning, and her new favourite colour! Mad with power, Shelly attempted to will the school day out of existence, with unfortunately no success and this was the end of wild speculation and the beginning of a serious testing of her abilities, what else could she make people believe?
General History: Shelly's earliest memories are of her father's shoulders, the bouncing as he stepped, clinging arms wrapped tight to his head. It was dark, cold and windy but she had been dressed like a little Michelin Man ready for it and between that and the warmth of the torches, she barely noticed the frost. It was noisy, the howling wind couldn't hold a candle to the excitement of the crowd, the crash of the drums and her joining in. The best bit was when daddy passed her up her sign, she held it aloft, as high as she could above her head. There was an exuberant cheer behind her, heads turned and there was an equally exuberant cheer from the front. Her royal subjects loved her, waiting expectantly for her to address them. It was time to give them what they wanted. Shelly tunefully shouted as loud as her 6 year old lungs would let her,
"Fuck off Muties, FUCK OFF!"
The rest is history, school, crushes, powers, dropping out, first kiss, super villianry, office administration, yada yada yada... Alright fine, although that is all true. Developing mutant powers in a family with less than favourable views on mutants isn't easy, except when you're power is alter your identity in the eyes of others, except it still isn't easy. Even as you grow in confidence, even as you grow stronger and better, it eats away at you. Its taxing on the mind in ways Shelly couldn't begin to explain. Her powers, her and her parent's perspective on Necros, what she can change, what she can't, what she had to do to keep it a secret and how she's only proved her parents right.

She left, just up and vanished without vanishing. Took up a temp job, ended up a part time office admin. It just about covered rent, bills and a scraping of nurishment but was no way to live. Shelly ended up touting her unique talents for "jobs" as it made her particually good Inside Man. It was tough to argue with the money and as long as she didn't think to much about it, the Necros she rode with were...What was she saying? They were criminals and she hated their guts and it made it all the easier to ditch those stupid sub-human garbage monsters when the job inevitably went tits up. There was blood everywhere. It wasn't like the movies where you see a tiny spattering on the wall behind them, blood glugged down the front and back of his turtleneck, down the chair and pooled neatly at the base of 3 of the chair legs. The gun, the gloves and the assailant coated in streaks like a diffraction pattern. A drip or two on Shelly's cheek. Her Robin Hood experience ended and her delusions that this was an okay thing to do evaporated. Easy. Just another family to up and vanish from.

That brings you upto the age of 18, For the next nine years Shelly gave up on using her X-gene and dedicated her time and energy to all she had left, Office Adminstration. After taking up second jobs, extra shifts and eventually a full time position at the company, Shelly eventually learnt she didn't need to watch her back so much, or thinks she has. She moved within the company to an office New York where she first learned proper of the Xavier Institute, which she recently joined.
