Acion Nakamiji
Albert Saratogi
Forte Dragunov
”Are we clear comrades?”
”Roger.”
They gave each other a salute. It was right around that time that the hound began to shrink. And that did not go without attention
’It shrinks every time it regenerates...That may be the weakness that can be exploited to take it down.’
”Look out!” The other man shouted as the shadowy breath attack was blown straight their direction.
All the Sky Knights jumped out just in time. Some were a little late, but more than enough to escape the freezing death.
”Everybody know their roles. Prepare to engage!”
“Awwww I wanted to play with the bigger version more!” Marge said as the dog looked at her, Shortcut came and stood right in front of her, just as cerberus was inhaling, Suspecting some type of breath attack. He used his fist and slammed into the concrete, a resounding crack could be heard as he pulverized the ground below him, causing a large chunk of concrete to stick up infront of them, blocking a direct hit from its freezing breath.
He looked back to Marge who eyed him. “What? You expecting a oh my hero moment?” She said as she picked up a few rocks. Shortcut shook his head. “No, but a thank you for making sure I dont turn into a popsicle.”
Staring at the rocks for a moment before hurling them over the blockade. “I grew up in Alaska! This is nothing!” The rocks would land near or on the wolf and explode like small grenades at contact.
Shortcut then looked out into the street, from the roof of an opposite building. “Manda, can you go follow up with Aurelia and make sure that those two kids are alright? Both seemed in rough shape.”
Manda pulled her rifle up and slung it over her shoulders. Heaving up a FN Mag, and quickly hopping down from her perch and making her way over to the others.
Shorcut then looked back to the large piece of concrete, as soon as the breath attack stopped he lifted it up with seemingly ease and hurled it at the beast.
Cerberus stopped its breath attack to catch the large rock in its jaw before biting down hard causing it to burst into a million pieces. The hound growled intensely at the hero in front of it, the dogs body soon began adapting to its foes as a protective armor was created on its back and around each of its head. The gear had small razor sharp quills that were capable of causing major slash damage if one was to receive a physical strike. Cerberus was deadly in the sense that it was capable of making its own decisions whether its creator was present or not a well as adapt to its foes.
The large beast crouched down before charging forward towards shortcut, preparing to steamroll its foe.
Acion along with the girl with four flying mirrors had gone sky high while Cerberus was focusing on other heroes, firing leads onto the creature’s head when the protective armors suddenly appeared all over the creature, rendering their attacks useless.
”How is that even possible?” The boy said as he lifted off, preparing for another approach. But he would have to engage in a different way this time
By the time he was diving down, he could notice gaps in the creature’s armor suit. Unlike humans, this big bulky fella had more than one head. That meant more than one neck. The armor was not spacious enough to cover his entire neck area, especially where the place where the necks were joining the body.
And he delivered his attack.
Acion dove steeply, unleashing his trademark sharp feather hailstorms. But his attack were significantly more powerful, simply because his opponent right now is not a normal student in a training exercise, but a large dog that needs to be exterminated. He need not hold back. Each feathers were powerful enough to punch through and stick on the hound’s freezing cold skin.
He quickly break once the attack had been dealt. His trajectory was dangerously close to the dog’s armor.
Meanwhile…
”That thing must not be allowed to move around so freely. Heinkel. Ready the rope.”
”Roger.” Replied the girl with the longbow. She took out a seemingly normal arrow, but this arrow was connected to a modified wire, which was sharply thin, but was enhanced in terms of durability, as it took quite a mass to cut it. And then she landed on a building nearby, her bow drawn, but not yet raised.
”Lancaster.” The dragon girl only nodded to this knight. He didn’t need to ask, and barely a look at Heinkel. Judging from his position, he already know what to do.
”Someone make that dog turn around please.”
Shortcut lowered his own stance as he was prepared to take the cerberus head on when one of the women asked politely in a battle to turn the dog around. Not that he could refuse such a polite request. He charged at the large dog and jumped up, Punching the dog square in the forehead of one of its heads downwards. Causing the beast to suddenly headplant into the ground. This however caused his back to raise up and shortcut wasn’t high enough to get over it, slamming into its back, hearing a rip and pain in a few places.
He managed to land on his feet however, gripping his arm as he could feel warm blood oozing out. Those spikes cut right through his kevlar/carbon fiber suit! “Damn..” he said as he quickly grabbed one of its legs as the dog was dazed, and pulled with all his might wincing in pain as his torn muscles screamed in pain, but he managed to spin the dog around and toss it into the opposite direction.
As Shortcut was dealing with the dog, the knight Lancaster put on their special protective glove. And once the dog was having their head punched to the ground, the longbow woman held her bow horizontally, pointing slightly down, drawn with the specially made arrow. The moment the dog was being spun, the girl let go of the string, and the arrow left her owner. In less than a second, her eyes winked, turning the arrow’s trajectory away from the ground, leveling it straight horizontal. The arrow struck deep into the wall, creating one end of the wire. That done, Heinkel threw the wire down the street below. And it was immediately caught by the other knight, who dashed forward for the wire. With a pull of his hand, he stretched the sharp wire just as the dog was thrown.
The wire was around a person’s neck level, sharply waiting for the collision with the beast.
Cerberus roared in pain as it was tossed through onto its side by shortcut, gliding across the ground. The left head had been turned, catching a glimpse of the hazard that awaited the beast. The dog tried to bore its tail into the ground to stop itself to traveling any further but the terrain was far too decimated to get a good grip.
SLICK
The left side of Ceberus’s body was cut clean off as it slid into the wall, the dog attempted to recover itself as its size was beginning to shrink as it tried to lick its wounds.
”That shit is tougher than I expected.”
Just as she said that, a voice coming over the intercom had her awaken to look up in the sky to see a tall large man with a seagull wing. He carried on his shoulder a pack of large heavy metal chains.
”This is Hellcat. Inbound in less than one minute.”
The call was directed to everyone.
Forte looked at the dog as it was licking its wound. Great. Right when it was unsuspecting.
”All wings. Operation Enkidu is underway.”
Everyone, excluding Acion, all nodded in unison. While the hero trainee did not exactly know what they were up to, he knew what he had to do: distract this dog for others to do the work. He saw the Sky Knight coming in with the chain. Still vague with the idea, but he charged down at the dog, spinning around his waist, throwing yet another hailstorm of feathers onto the creature’s middle head. But he didn’t break from there. He went straight, his hands holding the feather knife, down, stabbing the dog at its exposed area, the eye.
All of a sudden, the dog twitch due to the impact, sending the sharp armor colliding with this young hero’s armor, cutting through it easily, though not entirely. It cut into his chest, red liquid began to ooze out, but he managed to break out. The wound was light, but could be more severe if not treated in time.
The Sky Knights did not let any moment for it to breathe. Sachi, the girl with four floating light mirrors shot the left head with her light beam.
The rest of the team, in a show of nigh-perfect coordination, proceeded to chain the torso of Cerberus using the chain they had brought in with them. The chain was a hextuple legs sling, basically six chains linked to a large link in the middle. The person carrying the chain, Hellcat, held the large link firmly as he dove down onto the dog’s back. He rammed at optimal speed, avoiding any possible shock that could backfire on him, placing the large link at the center of the creature’s large back.
Immediately, the remaining four Sky Knights, including Forte, with their hands free charged into the creature. Each of whom grabbed one of the links on its back and flew downward evenly underneath the tummy: two on the left, two on the right. Those two from each sides would then lock the links together. Forte and Hellcat then flew upward, taking the fifth and sixth, the two final, links and wrapped them around their own torso.
”Ready?!” The dragon girl yelled over to the other end. ”One, two, thREE!”
Then again, her voice was severely distorted, as her inner dragon took over. The girl slowly flew up, using all her might to lift the gigantic creature up into the air. The other man also did his part, grunting in fury. The chains stretched, and it now became a show of force, with the weight of the dog on one side, and the other side being the lift by two strongest Sky Knights.
Initially, the scale was on the side of the shadow…
”They need help. Come on!”
And they were joined by the remaining Sky Knights. At first, only two joined, one for each sides, each hugging the other person’s back. Not enough, two more joined. And then finally, as a desperate means to increase force, Acion joined in, holding the large link instead. The scale slowly tipped to the knights of heaven. Cerberus was slowly lifted up into the air slightly above rooftop level, helpless, able to shake their limbs in defiance, but unable to move anywhere.
It is now exposed, and ready for the kill
Aurelia Nakamiji
The Sky Defender was cruising at a dangerously high speed. Any unexpected collisions would be fatal. And it only got worse from there.
"Nakamiji!"
A shout.
Followed by a gravitational pull that boosted her speed, which is basically an equivalent to a boost in power. She was now travelling at a speed that could only be compared to her diving down from the high sky. And she was rushing straight into Rakasha, her sword raised preparing to strike.
Without a doubt, she knew that this would be a clash of metal, to see whichever is stronger and more durable. If he could break her sword while she is charging, she would be dead. If she could break his, he would become nothing but a ragged cloth.
She could see his tentacles punching out to counter her. It’s now or never
CLANG!!!
The two hard cold sharp objects made a violent contact with each other. The next thing Aurelia saw was her still cruising. She was still alive. She had won.
Her blade was cracked, bent slightly to the right, but still stood. A slick of blood could be seen on it.
As she slowed down and turned around, she saw the result of her attack. The Shadow Clan personale had his arm critically injured by the blade attack. And along with that, the ability to resist.
Letting a heavy breathe out, she slowly landed on the roof where Rakasha and the two students stood. The battle is over, here at least. She looked over her shoulder to see the Sky Knights and the unknown hero party fighting over Cerberus. She may have to assist them quickly, so she had to conclude stuff here.
Seeing the man still boasting the will to fight in his eyes, the Sky Defender tried convincing him, with the tip of the blade at his chin.
”You are defeated. Don’t even try to resist.”
