A few blocks away from the park

The woman looked in the direction that Hans was pointing in, her expression changing not a single iota even as she focused her shades-obscured gaze upon the supposed pink light that the foreign teenager was claiming to be seeing. She took her sunglasses off, blinking once and squinting, before placing them back onto her face once more.

"You sure you ain't under the weather?" she asked with a note of concern (a surprising new emotion from her) as she turned back to face Hans. "Feel free to take a seat or whatever. I've gotta get to my place uh, pretty urgently, but you can stay here and take a breather if you need to."

Even as she spoke, the pink light that she seemed to be incapable of seeing was still pulsing.

The Park

That strange, massive creature - no, that monster that had emerged before the three hapless teenagers, was unfortunately discovered to be an impatient sort. Though the boy had sought to flee, to acquiesce to its demands for the humans to remove themselves from its presence, the stumble and fall of Enju as she was pulled along and Blair's attempt to grab her friend were instead read as a failure to do so. The two powerful fists, attached to arms bulging with muscles, slammed against the earth once more, the soil and grass underneath deforming as the white, oppressive cloud that leaked from its torso intensified in quantity, and the choking golden fog in the air grew more and more untenable to breathe in.

A hissing breath huffed from its reddening snout, even as its crimson, tear-filled eyes trained themselves on the teenagers in a clearly hostile glare. A guttural snarl ripped free from its long, shivering throat.

"HUMANS. MY PREY."

It seemed to thrust its tusks up in a threatening manner.

[[SHIBABOO]]

And from the earth, bursting from the grass and soil in a cloud of white, rose coils of sickly green energy, every single one grabbing the legs of the three teenagers and binding them to the ground.

The monster's clenched fist pulled back ...

Uchima Senior High - A Hallway, 1st Floor, Classroom Building???

"Um ... eeehhh?"

Despite the danger that lurked behind the trio of unfortunate Uchima students and the eerie world that they had been thrown into, the expression that found its way to Ai Hanazawa's face was one of awkward confusion as she stared down at the knife being handed her way. The Drama Club's scriptwriter was at a loss for words, quiet sounds of bafflement leaving her mouth as she scratched the back of her neck with one hand, gaze moving towards the floor as she tried to think of a proper response to the offer and the quick lesson that followed.

"Oh ah, thanks!" she finally said with a smile, taking the knife from Jin and turning it around so she could take a better look. Definitely not because it would be great writing material or anything. "But ... how did you get a knife into school, Takahashi-san?"

Even though she seemed as if she had decided to simply roll with things (especially when things couldn't possibly get even weirder than an old, first-time fanfic hidden in the bowels of the Internet), Ai couldn't help but contain her curiosity.

And if they could keep talking, she didn't need to think about that monster as much.

@JBRam2002@Suku

The flames reflected towards those burning monsters did no harm, yet unlike in the case of the courageous Kimiko, those wisps of fire did not return in the direction of the young priestess-in-training, merely dissipating inside the bodies of the creatures. They instead glowed and flashed with greater intensity, the seething fire roaring brighter and hotter to a crescendo as they realised, with incredible anger, that their attack had been foiled.

None of the students had fallen prey to their assault.

Not even Kaede, who had been pushed free of the fire, now half-collapsed on the ground next to Kagami.

The scent of charred fabric mixed with skin wafted through his nose.

The heat that licked his arms could still be felt.

The pain as his skin boiled away against the flames.

Yet boosted by that ... magic that Kimiko had cast upon him, Kaede Yamamoto was fast thinking past all of that. His body hurt. His chest was still tight. That brush with death sent sparks through his body. Lightning running through his veins. He had nearly died. The flames nearly consumed him.

Could have entirely consumed him.

He couldn't breathe.

He gasped.

It was like a shock to the system. Air flowed back into him. His body started up once more, like an awakening generator.

The kendo-club girl. He staggered to his feet, the pain so dull now. Almost a forgotten feeling. The heat didn't feel as intense as it once did. Kaede ignored all of that, his legs moving at an incredible speed (was it the work of the priestess?) as he made his way to Kagami's side. In front of her.

"It worked," he managed to breathe out, his harried eyes glancing Kimiko's way as he gave her his reply.

His body was tingling.

It could have been a dream. He could have been dead. But he wasn't. Nor was the girl collapsed behind him. Adrenaline pumped through him, and his eyes met those monsters, those burning figures held back only by the priestess standing in front of them, a pillar that pushed back against the raging firestorm coming their way. It was too unreal, but he wasn't asleep. The beating of his heart, pounding constantly like thunder, reminded him of the reality of it all.

This was his reality.

Every single feeling in vivid detail. It was proof. Every jolt, every burning pain receptor.

of course it hurts, you're not invincible, you're not a superhero

The reality of a classmate holding back monsters from killing him.

Nearly succeeding.

Yet they were still coming.

Can you state your name?

This was reality.

This was Kaede Yamamoto's reality.

He needed help.

He needed to help.

His classmates. His club members. His friends.

He needed to protect every single one of them.

a winged man wearing a crown

The words slipped out naturally.

"Persona."

The fairy king burst free from his shackles in a glow of golden light, an ethereal warmth that rose above the Drama Club President.

If Kimiko couldn't do any more, than he would help her.

Help her. Help the girl behind him. Help everyone.

Not a superhero, huh ...?

"Oberon, Zio!" he gritted out, thrusting his burnt arm forward. The fae followed suit, and at the tip of its blade burst a bolt of lightning, striking one of the monsters in an explosion of sparks and light.

The creature staggered and roared as its flames dimmed slightly, but it redoubled immediately, charging forth and seeking to bullrush past Kimiko in order to get its shot at vengeance by killing Kaede. And the other was already moving around to flank, seeking to distract the priestess' attentions so that its comrade would have its chance.

If she went for one, then both Kaede and Kagami would be unprotected.

@Savo

The mass was taking Alexander somewhere.

The chittering, chattering motions were purposeful.

Somewhere in the school was their destination.

His destination.

And behind that bulbous creature, the masked monster in the gakuran followed.

In this monotone, bloody facsimile of Uchima Senior High, Alexander Furst would be condemned to a strange fate.
The big question of this RP is: Will Tzu try to eat everything that the group kills? I wonder how far down the Bear Grylls scale goes his appetite?

The only reason Tzi didn't eat the wolves that attacked them was because they all rolled down the hill and he didn't have time to retrieve their carcasses.
@KoL@TheWindel

TZI TI'AMTUM

Tzi gave Viola a thumbs-up as he got to work, helping her remove the myriad contents of her pack.

"I'll always give a mate a hand," he replied with a laugh, taking the gear that she handed to him and placing them down on the slightly-damp grass in a reasonably organised grouping. His brows did raise slightly upon realising how much everything must have weighed inside the pack. That was a lot of stuff for somebody like Viola to carry for so long! Even a big guy like him would have some trouble. "Though looks like you're a pretty strong girl yourself!"

The sight of the smoked lamb immediately caught his eye, and the moment Viola asked the assembled group who could cook it, he was the first to respond. This was what he was born to do (beyond fighting, of course), and the self-satisfied smile present on his face was an obvious sign that he was going to have fun with it.

"I can take care of it," the tall young man added, removing his portable grill from where it was safely tied to his back and setting it up in front of them. "You guys fine with barbecue, right?"

"Anyway," he continued. "If we want Ires to be chief, then I'm down wi-"

Rocs.

Big birds swooping from the sky. Tzi immediately pulled out his carving knife and carving fork, the two utensils fusing into the form of Retiarius as the enemies closed in. No time to talk cooking right now, unless they wanted to talk about how tasty the birds would taste if barbecued. He'd never eaten a roc before. Maybe they could try one out.

But it was fighting time.

Everything else could wait for now.

Casting the Net

Power pulsed, and from the tips of his trident burst the net of heavy magical fibres, flying up into the air and seeking to bring down one of the army of angry avians assaulting his associates.

Shuai Taidan - Food Stand

"Gotta go fast, Varius!" the ponytailed prettyboy called to his teammate as he noted down Gren's order on a notepad he'd magicked out of the pockets of his waiter outfit. "How fast can you do twenty mackerel slices and ten of salmon sashimi?"

It was a really big order, but it also meant that they were going to get a heapload of revenue too! Although if Varius' helicopter phonecall costed a lot, then they might not have made any profit at all! That would be bad, but seeing everyone here enjoying their food was profitable too. Not in the actual hard cash way, but it was nice. He made his way around the cart, handing out orders and accepting requests in the waiter persona he'd gotten up, before popping over to accept Annabelle's order.

"Of course, senorita," he replied, handing over what she wanted and taking the payment, before he broke character once again, "but nice acting there! Needs to be a bit more consistent, though."
@Crimmy just a headsup all 3 of us have posted now

Gotcha. Will be trying to get a post up at some point today. Been procrastinating via video games, and the semester's started up again.

@Crimmy@Bornlucky

I apologize for not reading the posts closer. I think my brain jumps around some.

Also Jin is probably making things worse, giving Ai a knife. Oh well.

It'll be fine.

Incidentally, GarlandDaHero has officially dropped.
My last two weeks have been spent mostly asleep due to a shitty sleep schedule brought about by playing excess amounts of Super Robot Wars, so I'll try and get something up too once my body stops dying on me.
We need to get Natus some friends.
I wonder what goodies i can procure. There.

A 6th grade English textbook.
I seem to recall that there was mention awhile ago about a blacksmith or armory somewhere, can I get some more details on that?

There's an Armoury at Beacon. There's also a class that takes place in it.

Varius Gilver

"Hmph, 'fried' you say Shuai, but I'm afraid I do not make such a primitive dish. Behold, tempura tuna", he responded as a montage of making the batter, applying it to the fish, frying it, and taking it out to put it onto a neatly organized dish with sauce took place. With that ready it was only up to Shuai to take that... And the request salmon sushi.

Unfortunately they did not bring salmon, but Varius was not one to be unprepared.

"My family may not be here today, but our delivery networks never rest. I took the liberty of sending a notification to the fishery in town", with a click of his fingers a crate parachuted down in the middle of the food court relayed by a helicopter with his family company's logo on it before flying away. Upon Shuai opening the crate to deliver the contents to the stand he would find it was full of salmon. Soon as it was taken to the stand, Varius would proceed to prepare the salmon sushi as if nothing abnormal had happened.

"I hope the food is to your liking dear customers", an incredible display... Such was the power of wealth one supposes.

Shuai Taidan - Food Cart at the Food Court

"Oooh, you guys should run a delivery service," commented Taidan as he watched the crate parachute down onto the courtyard. "That was super quick."

The resident pyromaniac of Canvas slipped past the crowds of surprised customers and other sorts of folks towards the crate, circling it once with his hands held against his hips just to make sure that his teammate's family hadn't dropped anything dangerous on them. Not that he thought Varius was gonna kill them or anything, and besides, he was 100% certain someone as fiery as he was couldn't be so easily snuffed out by anything hidden in a wooden crate that smelled of fish and seawater, but it was equally likely that Varius had ordered some sort of mutant Grimmfish instead like that one time they went to Vacuo on vacation.

He stepped up towards the crate and opened the top just a tad.

It was definitely just normal salmon.

He nodded firmly to himself. That was exactly what the customers had ordered, so all was fine.

He threw a thumbs-up Varius' way. Time to get to work~!

Conduits of energy awakened just under his pale skin, the rush of burning blood cycling through every part of him as the liquid fire within his heart impressed Him upon the World. The intangible, invisible essence of Shuai Taidan's identity detaching from his skin as his Semblance, the six divine arms leaping to action as they awoke from his back.

Santouliubi

Each one stretched out towards the crate, grabbing hold of the heavy wooden container of fish and raising it up into the air as if it weighed nothing. The scent of salt and raw fish was immediately apparent, and Taidan could see a lot of passerbys wrinkle their noses in distaste for the fish. He himself wasn't too bothered, it was just fish after all!

He walked back towards the food cart, the crate dangling in the sky behind him, held aloft by those invisible extensions of his Aura. It wasn't necessary for him to use that power, but if he was doing waiter business, there was no way he was going to just touch the crate with his bare hands! It'd be rude to the customers, even if he could totally just go wash his hands.

Wasn't that just justifying laziness?

Nah, just a way to avoid more work than usual!

The crate was set down next to Varius with a slight rumble, and Taidan watched his teammate work with the same incredible speed as before.

"Hey," he said after a moment, a note of curiosity entering his voice. "Does your family make helicopter blades too?"

Still, he wasn't waiting for an answer any time soon, taking the finished salmon sushi (and the previous tuna tempura) to their respective customers.

"Apologies for the lack of fried tuna, senorita," he said politely as he reentered character, bowing to Emerald as he held out the plate to the catgirl. "Our chef preferred to provide you with a more ... exquisite tuna tempura."

He immediately brightened up a second later, dazzling smile finding its way to his cute face as he handed the salmon sushi Teàrlag's way. "Oh, and he's your sushi, teach! Enjoy this meal your cute students made~! It's as equally good as our grades, right?"

Teàrlag Cirsium - Student Counselor, Dust Apps Teacher, currently at Food Court

Oi, Taidan. Don't think you can get away with trying to bribe me into being more lenient on your team's marks. I know it was your idea, so don't go pushing it onto your silver-haired mate polishing his knives back there. I'm not that much of a pushover that your sparkling purple eyes and soft, pretty features combined with handing me over some really nice-looking grub can convince me to help you brats out. It's not you're cute or anything! And besides, this isn't even deep-fried, so it's not enough either!

I guess that was more on me. I guess I should've gone for some fish and chips, but it doesn't look like these blokes have much in the way of potatoes. Unless that Varius asked his family to deliver some fresh potatoes over, but what kind of teacher would that make me, getting my students to work even harder for my sake just to grab some spuds?

I mean it's not like I appreciate all this hard work into giving me this salmon or anything, but more on top of that?

I'm not somebody who'll so easily leech off the kids I've been hired to take care of. That goes against the spirit of the duty-of-care thing I had to sign, you know? And it's why I refuse the luchadora girl's offer to pay for my salmon. Even if it'd be convenient, losing my hoodie to her temporarily isn't something I should fuss about. Think of my dignity too. Teàrlag Cirsium isn't going to be known as someone who borrows money from students.

"I can pay for myself," I tell the girl even as I take the sushi from Taidan and hand him some lien. "Just give me the hoodie back."

The hoodie isn't that important. The bunny ears are stupid. But it's mine, okay?
