Him. Probably the most powerful villain, no, being in the DC Universe.
Yeah, it does seem a bit lazy of them not to take their time establishing the characters before they make a team movie.Especially if they do Darkseid as the villain. I mean, Marvel is gonna take 11 years to build up Thanos. DC CAN NOT just throw him into Justice League. He needs to be in like... Justice League 2 part 1 MINIMUM.
When I heard about Batman vs Superman, I thought "Okay, this seems pretty cool." Then they threw Wonder Woman in, and I was like, "Hey, that's a nice surprise. It's about damn time Wonder Woman gets some screentime." But now that they're throwing Aquaman in too, I can't help but feel like they're throwing cameos everywhere just for the hell of it.Don't forget Cyborg! They threw him in too, even though his solo movie is slated for... 2020, I want to say? It's almost like this film is just a way to get every member of the Justice League in one movie so that when they show up IN the Justice League, they can say they already established these characters. And to hide that fact, they made it a Man of Steel sequel starring Batman. Because they don't want to reboot Batman with a solo movie juuuuuuuust yet. Hell, Just to establish his nemesis, they threw Joker into the Suicide Squad movie. Or at least that's how it feels to me. They WANT to do the Marvel strategy, but they CAN'T because fans will bitch that DC is just copying them. (Although I don't see what the problem is with copying a WINNING strategy).
I'm with you. I love the look for Aquaman. Even if I didn't recognize him. The issue is that I want to hear his story! We know Batman and Superman inside and out! This is why I prefer Marvel's way of doing things. You get to know the character before the team, that way you know who you're rooting for when there are 6 of them. Now I see this BAMF Aquaman and it's like... wow, are all the Atlanteans like that? Just him? Can he still talk to fish? Can he summon some sharks or killer whales to kick butt? But the issue is that the two heroes we've seen already several times in the past 10 years are getting all the hype, meanwhile the characters like Wonder Woman and Aquaman, whose stories haven't been told in... well... I don't even know how long... are going to be regulated to cameos? I'm Batmanned/Supermanned out. I'm bored of those two. Give me someone else, please, and in top billing, not just as a throwaway.OH, MY GOD!!! Thank fucking christ someone else has the same idea as me! Thank you, Dizzy. Thank you so much! It's so good to know I'm not alone. Oh, and I just read that Aquaman will appear twice. Once when Lex Luthor is doing something involving metahumans, and once at the end when Batman recruits him. ... ... ... Bull... fucking... shit. I was super-hyped for this movie... now I'm just hype. I am more looking forward to ANT-MAN than I am Batman v Superman... that's sad.
I wonder what the rest of the team are doing since returning to base after the fight.Babysitting their cousins to take the load off their grandpa. Sorry. I'll post tomorrow. No doubt Tea is gonna want to figure out why using those jets brought so much pain.
