Silvarae didn’t hear when Maeve spoke to her such was the numbness that was within her mind, she would be staring straight ahead still yet seeing nothing, as if the world around her had taken on an air of total unimportance. She would show no reaction to the words spoken to her, however when Maeves’ hand graced her shoulder even with the slightest of touches there would be an immediate reaction. The rune on her hand, Algiz, would flash for only the briefest of moments. If someone had been watching her intently when this happened they would be able to note that the rune seemed to flash with the color of flames, but so fast was it gone that it could be forgiven if it had been imagined.
Silvarae would shake her head looking at once back to the cool, calm, and collected woman that she had portrayed before her panic attack, of sorts. She would turn to look at the hand resting on her shoulder before following the arm up to take further notice of the sowlio user Maeve.
‘what?’ she would think to herself as her mind began to function properly again though omitting certain parts of the past that would cause her to destabilize again.
”What are we doing out here?” she would ask her tone of arrogance returning though being tempered with a tone of curiosity. It is at this point that she would recall that Madison was present and would snap to attention with a salute. ”Sir.” She would say looking to Madison and awaiting any orders or to be dismissed.
Cerise watched as the mechanical abomination spoke to her, she noted the obscure way in which he seemed to converse and put that down to the fact that he appeared to be more machine than organic and that he was not programmed to be a linguist. He seemed to be curious about where her belongings had been located and had asked to that effect which she would confirm that they were located on the floor above, or well the floor that had previously been where they stood now, but was now the ceiling. The warning it issued however would make her blood run cold, "Do not be alarmed if a large arachnoid appears." one of the few things that the fairies have a long-lasting hatred of were the arachnoid species. Having fought long and vicious wars against them it seemed almost ingrained their hatred of them.
As the unit disappeared supposedly to check on the status of its own mount she too would make her movements to secure her own, Swift Strider, her trusted battle corgi. She noticed the Gem also embedded into him and would let out a shout of frustration, she made quick work of releasing him from his chains and watched as they retreated into the floor. She would ensure he had no other injuries and would pet him whispering sweet nothings to the mount she saw more as a friend than a beast of burden, though he did carry saddle bags which she noted were still on him along with his saddle. A quick inspection revealed the contents were still in their correct place, a bedroll and 6med kits.
"Good boy!" she would say before mounting him and heading back towards the location she had been before this time with her trusted mount and friend. Upon re-entering the main room her blood would run cold seeing the giant arachnoid that the machine was riding. He stated that its name was AdAm 8, ever cautious of the monstrosity she would make sure to keep some distance between it and herself.
"The name's Cerise" she would finally speak to the machine before motioning to her mount "And this is Swift Strider." the corgi would seem to react to its own name with a small bark before watching the spider cautiously however being trained carefully he would not show any signs of aggression until his master commanded so.
The next moment a lot of stuff seemed to happen in relatively quick order, the Genasi she had seen on the floor above seemed to be dragging a petrified Albino who managed to break free and seemed to be fleeing. The robot AdAm 7 seemed to want to target the man for an attack which she in good conscience allow.

“Declaration: Unknown Albino Organic is attempting to escape Custody of potential ally,” stated the fleshy robot.

“You do not harm the allies!” The fairy retorted.

“Statement: Units shall assist in subduing target.”

“Let the man go!”

“Statement: The bite of Mounted Unit is Paralytic.”

“I reiterate, let the man GO!”

“Comment: Should target survive the primary traumatic injury and fail to resist venom, target will be neutralized.”

Cerise raised her mace, with her shield into a defensive position. “Last warning.”

As the divine fire appears in the heavens and falls to earth she sees it just before it connects with the ground the spider was agile enough to avoid her strike.
"Damn it!" she would mutter as she prepared to fight as the albino man fell.
She was about to react and heal the downed albino when an orb appeared around him, whether dangerous or not, she guessed at it being somehow to protect him leaving only one real threat now. Placing a hand on herself she would incant.
"Llira hear my call, I ask of thee to restore my vitality." the prayer she had always used for a spell learned long ago, cure wounds, she would upcast the spell to its third level thus making it a slightly more difficult spell to cast. She would then turn to face the one she considered to be a threat whom now resided on the roof.
"By Llira's might I summon forth a weapon of my justice. as she spoke the words, her war caster ability letting her preform the somatic gestures while retaining her grip on her shield, A mace of pure energy would materialize beside the robot. The weapon would then attack the robot under the command of its summoner. The weapons swing though in a great arc was wide sailing past the robot her eyes would narrow before she speaks again.
"the man is under the protection of Llira, to attack him now is to attack the goddess herself.

Zephyr would wait for her to finish checking over his badge before returning it to the pocket inside his Jacket, it came in handy having those credentials at times.
“Can’t say I know much ‘bout her,”
“The name’s Julie Ambers, and the gal’s been livin’ here longer than I have. ‘ccasionally blasts some crappy music through the walls, but real nice lady when it comes down to it. Pro’lly won’t be ‘round for a bit.”

He would nod as he listened not seeming to take down any notes from anything she was saying. Mentally he would record Julie’s name and character traits. He was just about to ask another question when she chimed in with one of her own.
“What’re these ‘special abilities’, anyway? Seems only fair if I get’ta ask you some questions, too.”
Not an unusual question and one he had been prepared to answer if it meant that he was able to get some more of the information that he wanted.
”Well those of us that are like me.” he would begin ”I mean those of my species, have the innate ability to sense magic and it’s source of origin. the way he spoke belied the information that he was with holding, but in truth still answered the question that he had been asked.
The burn from his wrist was beginning to get a little annoying but he had come this far and still had a couple of questions that he would like to ask her. The thought crossed his mind,
”So then Miss Phoebe Alice Stride” he would say a slight smile crossing his face knowing he had one up on her, unless of course she had actually read his badge would simply reveal his name on earth as his true name which he guessed would be imprinted in Celestial on the womans wrist. ”Do you mind if I come in so we can discuss this further, and our situation.” he would say finally pointing out his wrist and her name ”Vis-a-vee” he would add while pointing his wrist.
@KahleenCuthald The characters are still just meeting up, due to losses in our numbers, the two that have been together the longest now is Cienna - Julie/Erin.. and well there was an event with a building almost being destroyed by an f5 tornado... and it's sunday evening
As she raced to towards the front gates she noticed they were closing and a guard had stepped forward to stop her, escape cut off she would come to a halt not far from the guard and would stare at him passively her eyes still wide in that deer-in-headlights look though it was more like no one was home at this point. She would be breathing slightly heavier thanks to her wild flight and would be shaking all over.
When Madison grabbed her shoulder she would turn to look at the person she knew to be a man thanks to dossiers on all her commanders her eyes blank, somewhere in her brain the information was processed that she would have to obey and this brought her body to attention if not her eyes back to their focus. Inside her head there was a vicious battle raging somewhere along the lines of she had completely failed and needed to be punished. Her being seen to be afraid or even less than the perfect soldier had never been acceptable and now one of the runes, Maeve had seen her.

“Excuse me, Miss Kaizen,”
“but I’m afraid that you can’t leave just yet. Miss Kovalenko should be going some important information around this time, and…”
“Is something the matter? You look rather troubled.”

Listening to him she would nod in acknowledgement to the first parts out of simple response, a requirement that she show she is processing an implied instruction. However when he asked if she were ok she would freeze up again.
‘get your head out of the clouds stupid! He’s going to report you to father, they won’t want such a pathetic soldier on their team.’ The vicious mockery within her head would state, if she had not been trained as well as is, she might have simply collapsed at this point such was her total failure. ‘you’re going to get it now you stupid little girl, you’re absolutely pathetic!’ this time her fathers’ voice in her head as she remembered the beatings she received as a little child, she used all of her training to simply stand, thus her body would begin to tremble again under his hand.
"Sorry, sorry!"
"You, uh- You got us, ma'am. Sorry. It was all my idea, none of hers. She said, 'No, Byrne! That's an awful idea.' But I pushed her into it. So, uh really... All my fault. Horrid prank. She's innocent, though. Well, except for listening to me. But you know how it is, with peers and fighting and...

"It's been a long few days. Don't come down on her, would you? It's more me than anyone."

Hearing the voice again of Maeve even the voice in her head went silent, her body would go limp under Maddisons’ hand thought she would remain upright, her demeanour would shift from that of a deer-in-headlights to that of someone frozen in time almost, neutral and impassive. Should someone look at her eyes they would find them not tracking anything simply looking straight forward, her breathing would immediately settle into a sleep like pattern regular and deep.

Dossier File

Subject: Silvarae Kaizen (A.K.A Zero)
Age: 25
Combat Assessment:

Extremely dangerous in close quarters and long range combats, lacks middle range ability.
Prefers hand to hand combat styles, Mixed Martial arts style verified.
Special Note: Shield rune verified, unable to determine maximum potential at this time.

Psychological Assessment:

Subject Silvarae has been observed to be mentally unstable suffering from what would appear to be a crippling Inferiority complex along with pre-programmed requirements that must be met.
Subject demonstrates common characteristics to someone suffering mental programming along with a very strong fear of her father
Special Note: It has not been confirmed if this can be used to our advantage
Should these requirements fail to be met she enters into a catatonic like state where-by she is unable to process outside stimulation other than the ability to follow direct orders and danger assessments.
She has been noted to be 100% battle effective in this state however will not respond to anything other than the above-mentioned conditions.
It is observed that the subject will recover from the catatonic-like state within 30 minutes if kept actie or 5 minutes of complete downtime.
Special Note: Her rune partners (aett runes) may be able to bring her out of this state sooner - Unconfirmed
It is highly inadvisable to talk to the subject about the triggering event, this has resulted in one of two outcomes. A repeat of the catatonic like state or extreme violence in a panic driven like state.
CAUTION: it is inadvisable to try and return her from her catatonic state other than to let her return solo. Subject becomes extremely volatile if other methods are used.

After much time spent in deliberation it is decided upon by the party that they will travel the path indicated by the goblins towards Cragmaw Hideout, their base of operations. The only decision that was left to make now was that of the Goblins, what would become of them.
This question wasn’t left up in the air for long as the Barbarian, Bar, stepped forward with his demands;
Bar: "Either strength is proven or the weak are executed."
This lead to a turn of events whereby the Goblins would not understand the meaning of his words, The wizard, Seethe, seeming to have an idea from this walks forward and breaks the shin bones of one of the goblins, The other two goblins were reviled and would attempt to flee quickly from the scene. However the Barbarian would be too fast for them and would cleave their heads from their necks in one quick solid movement, collecting their skulls as he had the others.

The group navigate the two wagons off to the side of the road where they will be safe until the return of the party and set off towards cragmaw.
Before setting out Bar popped open the potion that Cienna had handed him downing the lot.
Bar: Feels great he said as he seemed to become rejuvenated.
Bar takes the lead while the others follow,
After walking north west along the path for approximately ten minutes along the trail the Barbarian almost steps into a snare trap that he had failed to locate, he dodges to the side as the snare snaps around a branch where his foot had been moments before.
"Hey, there's a trap there." Kiki calls out from her position watching.
While ‘M’ changes his psionic focus to the mind of the Nomadic.
Bar proceeds to gather the snare wire before they set out again, while walking he would tie the used up potion vial into his necklace offering kiki a bone from it.
While walking for another 10 minutes Kiki though on lookout for danger failed to notice that the ground had been disturbed. Bar noticed the moment he set foot on the trap an audible snap, which he quickly jumped back from as the ground and earth beneath him began to tumble into a 10 foot deep hole.
Following the goblins’ trail, you come across a large cave in a hillside, five miles from the scene of the ambush. A shallow stream flows out of the cave mouth, which is screened by dense briar thickets. A narrow dry path leads into the cave on the right-hand side of the stream.

Cienna
She would listen to the rest of the group decide what they wanted to do, she had been hired to make sure that they arrived safely and that is what she was going to do. She would take up a position in the middle of the group as the Barbarian she had given a healing potion took the lead.
So shaken had Silvarae she hadn’t heard Maeve approaching her, when she finally heard her voice she froze up her body going stiff. Her head would slowly turn, stiff, mechanical and her eyes would be wide as if a dear caught in the headlights.
"Blondie?"
"Uh- Sorry stuff got tense with the two of you or whatever, but I think we should probably go back, soon. I'm not big into rules, but they're going to ride your ass if you just blow them off like that."
"I mean. I can't twist your arm."

Maeve may have been speaking in gibberish for all that Silvarae could process at this point. She had seen something that no one had seen in twenty some years, Her brain arguing between fight or flight as she looked at the other rune user. It would happen in an instant what made her mind might have been as imperceptible as a simple breath from the fire user but she bolted sprinting at top speed unable to process anything other than escaping those eyes.
‘stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, showing them you’re weak, you’re pathetic.’ She heard her fathers voice in her head ‘stupid little bitch’ it would add berating her as she finally found herself outside the mansion heading relatively quickly for the city. All thoughts of training gone now she was sprinting anywhere, that wasn’t here at this point.

The flight had been fun, she hadn’t flown with another in a long time and it reminded her of her own past. As they arrived out the front she would lower Julie to the ground gently, herself hovering so that their heads were at the same height. Entering into the night club the familiar sounds and scents hit her like a wave. Bringing back so many fond memories of times that had come and gone.
"So, what first?"
”Well, if memory serves of places like this, we buy a drink, then the fun begins?”
She answered as she swayed in the air to the music as well, this was the last thing that she expected to doing with this evening, but now here they were, and she was going to make the most of it.

“If the reason ya came here was to get on me ‘bout my clothes, then ya might wanna find someone who actually gives a damn about ‘em.”
He would almost laugh at this response, ‘well damn she seem to actually have a humour about her’
“Call me Stride. And ‘fore ya start askin’ more questions, ya mind tellin’ me why’re ya askin’?”
Humor disappeared from his face almost as quickly as it had arrived, ‘quick’ he thought to himself, most people he spoke to would usually just assume that he were a cop and answer him without a problem. He would reach into the inner pocket of his jacket producing his badge.
”I’m a private investigator, who has been asked to check into this case, given my special abilities. His tone was business like again.
He noticed the small movement that the woman had made, a little bit school yard for his own tastes, he made no movements to conceal his own burning wrist but he knew the only way that it would stop would be if they physically touched and it could get a whole lot worse but he could withstand a lot more of the heat and pain it could generate.
He was more curious about the woman, something the universe had instilled in him with many soulmates was a curiosity about why they in particular had drawn the short straw in being paired with him.

"Not really,"
"But sure,"

A smile broad smile would be plastered across Ciennas features as Julie spoke to her, she had to agree that was probably the wisest course of action, to hold back complete trust but now she wanted to have fun. As Julie extended her hand and accepted her own she would flutter her wings while hovering and the wind would begin to stir around Julie before negating the effects of gravity on her rather easily, Cienna would tighten her grip on Julies hand and lift. This would have the effect of pulling Julie into the air alongside her. If she didn’t let go this would be safe to preform, well as safe is flying with a dark wind fairy could possibly get.
Lifting higher into the early night sky she would laugh spiralling somewhat not letting go either, she felt alive for the first time in a long time, if that were to do with burning out all her sadness or Julies presence she could not answer at this point but she felt like she a long time ago. ”so where to now my beautiful rose.” she had no idea where that had come from but she had to say it seemed to suit Julie perfectly.
@GoodLuckTuck
Silvarae would listen as the bird like Isa spoke her impression of her getting less and less as the woman continued to speak. ‘book smarts’ she thought to herself as she considered whether or not to push the subject of the womans own superiority complex. Though the one thing that she found to be impossible to bite her tongue with was when the woman answered whether or not she had been outside the walls with a non-comital ” It has negligible value to talk about" Silvarae breathed and lived the world outside the city and she immediately would frown at this.
She let Isa finish talking before she would speak again her eyes watching her for any small give or detail that others might not notice, this wasn’t the first time she had watched the ice user but now she was wondering what it was that made her so confident in her book smarts.
”you think that your books will protect you against the things that lurk in the shadows?” she all but spat this, her hand would stray to her dagger grasping the handle tightly, her knuckles would turn white from the force of her grip while her heart beat a million miles an hour with in her breast. ”this here is a waste of time if you think the things that hide within the shadows are negligible, while we sit around here chatting and making cozy there are far darker things out there that grow stronger.”
She would push off the wall, turning and walking towards the door ”when you’re serious about actually doing something I’ll listen, till then.” She threw a hand up turning to face the door before adding ”And Isa, you know the name of my rune true, you don’t know what I’m capable of it, unlike you, I’ve seen you can bend ice to your will, and prefer mobility over force of power.” she added the last as she walked out the room towards the gym. Her nerves were rattled and the moment she left the immediate area she would lean against the wall panting for several seconds. ‘stupid stupid, stupid.’ She thought to herself slowly pushing off the wall again her heart still beating well above normal and her hands slightly shaking.
