Oh 5e and it’s ‘simplified mechanics’ which are so simple they go against the grain of common thought frequently. Oh how I wish critical hits were simply
Double damage’ sometimes. (Not often, but sometimes; then weapons like a dagger could be ‘triple’ and be unique that way)

But then again I’m an Orc at heart; give me more dice!

I'm used to the Pathfinder ruling where if you crit you roll again to confirm and again to see if your can roll a fatal blow (I actually rolled three 20's in a row once as a Sorcerer and just killed the BBEG in one hit with a Chill Touch cause Undead bloodline woot woot.)

Gabriel's muscles tensed as he sprang forward, his gaze focused and jaw set watching the serpent closely as it slithered around the bugbear failing to realize it was no match for the fearsome monster it was fighting against yet also failing to watch it's own flank.

Already on the offensive the half-elf lunged forward with a graceful flourish, stabbing the serpents coiled body with the accuracy of a surgeon before turning and stepping back with a turn of the heel. Wiping the blood upon his blade against the cuff of his leather gloves.

Action: Move towards Giant Constrictor B (10 feet) and Attack (Nat 24) and hit for 11 (+2 not +4 sorry) damage with a rapier.

@Guardian Angel Haruki So if I crit on an attack do I roll my damage dice again and add it to the total or roll one die and multiply the result before modifiers?

Hm..A lot of Greek gods, some Norse and even Egyptian gods. Question though as I am aware 'any pantheon' was canned. Can one such as myself apply as a Babylonian deity? Gilgamesh to be exact. Or a god-like being such as the demonic/fiendish caste of the like of Beelzebub, Mamon or good old Satan himself? (Just a question, my interest is only tentative atm.)

@Yankee Just got past HR 7 so I'm figuring out what I'm gonna do. I find changing up my gear difficult as I'm afraid I'll be weaker by changing up my kit. Might try great sword. :p
