After some time had passed, Vixen's "escort unit" as it could be called finally arrived in the form of three hummers each driven by a soldier and watched by his assigned partner.
Apparently, they were also delievering ammo to the Los Angles Airport. Reports around the city weren't looking too good from what Vixen was told as she waited for her convoy to show. Bottom line, infected were now in most parts of the city with only a few places to either hide from them or that the military had manage to successfully lock down.
Vixen then got into the back of the two, putting her LMG in the back there. She was even given an SMG. An MP5 to be exact. Hick had said that even with her body, trying to run or retreat with an LMG may not be the wisest of situations. Agreeing she decided to bring along the extra fiream in case she had to abandon the LMG.
As the convoy loaded up, Vixen saw the drivers in a group, talking to each other. Wandering over, Vixen joined in just to get an sit-rep. But she already knew the problem. The best route to get to LAX was not going to be easy. Apparently, choppers had their hands full trying to ferry survivors to the nearby island to examine and quarintine survivors. They just had their hands full. Worse, some pilots refuse to even land anywhere within L.A., saying that the infected will "leap" onto their copter like superman or something.
Vixen had just shook her head but nodded. But no matter what route they took, encounters with infected were going to be high. If they pulled into an area where they could simply mob the convoy, it wouldn't end well. Then again, some areas where there are survivors may decide "guts than brains" and try to attack the convoy for possible supplies, weapons, etc. From what reports say in certain areas, some civlians are refusing to co-operate with military. Obviously, panic and fear had already gripped the populance in some parts.
She decided to see what they plan out since it seemed simply going "west" probably wasn't the wisest of routes depending on how things were now...
