For Mai, it was..."different" here as she always thought during the weeks to come.
From classes to training to simulations though, THAT was nothing new for Mai.
She did try her best to..."fit" in but as she thought, her personality tended to shorten conversations rather quickly. Though on the upside, she did pretty much talk to all the pilots and other people around base here at least more than once. And...they didn't "seem" to mind her presence either.
It had gotten to a point as well where she decided to talk to Lorenzo and even Ritsu about things in private. Even more so about her...family history and other related topics. For Mai to even "talk" about such things at all to others in general...it was something that she thought she never do. Something that her first division would either frown upon or even punish her for. But things were different here. More importantly, keeping such things from Lorenzo wasn't exactly the best of idea's. Though Mai had the suspicion that both he and Ritsu were well aware of her classified history. Family and personal included.
As well as her involvement with the Telekenetic System...
She did tell Lorenzo and Ritsu about her personal feelings on that...and what that system did to "her"...
Other than that episode, Mai kept on going with the usual routines. Though in some cases, some of the cadets did try to get..."involved" with Mai a bit. She figured it was just to get her to..."relax" and to stop being "stiff" in their views.
But this is who she was. Mai "Seven" Twilight. Trained Soldier.
...trained killer...
Orders were orders.
Today didn't seem like it was going to be too different.
Then the alarms went off...and Mai knew that reality just came in.
With a "Yes sir!" and a salute to Lorenzo's order, Mai immedately left the current room towards the briefing room.
