Well this is a problem. Down to 62% sync. Lost one Magnum Pistol.

And I'm assuming the sniper shot came for that Cruxi west of Mai's position...

...you know, I had thought about Mai actually begin to question her orders after the mishap with the sniper. Considering it's position, it's in a nasty camp spot over there on the south west part of the map in general. Despite her handi-caps, she may proceed west.

Was thinking "move, move, mini-thruster evasion" or say that Mai began focusing on the sniper so that she could dodge it's next shot or shots as she approached, focused on "evasion" through her "mini-thrusters" more than an additional movement square to increase her odds on evasion. Based on what Ariamis wrote, the T system ain't going to protect her at the current sync level if he said that the shot pierce the midsection of the Neo Angel.

Besides, due to her training, she may say that she'll distract the sniper.

Edit: But then again, considering the new positions of the enemy units between her and the sniper, that move could end badly. Simply put, were being forced back. So even with increased evasion, I don't think Mai's going to be able to dodge all that fire now that I'm taking a closer look at the map.

Hey all. Just checking in to show that I'm still here. So who still has to make moves?

Also. @Ariamis. Did I make any mistakes in terms of movement? I did this RP once with you before so I assumed the pattern "move once, action once" or "move twice, no action" applied here. Though in my case, I used the Neo Angel's mini-thrusters to gain an additional movement square. Since I'm just waiting, figured I should clear that kind of stuff up before you say I made a mistake.

For Mai, what happened wasn't anything new for her. If anything, it was "trial by fire" all over again from her first division days.

From what she gathered over the erratic comm lines, they had already suffered two possible casualties...the same two cadets she was speaking to before on a private comm line just before deployment.

Harold and Daniel.

But this was also the reason why she was trained the way she was trained...emotions were nothing but trouble during combat. And her "fears" of this unit's "influence" on her seemed to be for naught. After all, she didn't feel anything right now as the sounds of combat raged outside her framework.

But...was that the "true" reason why her sync rate was so low?

Then, her new squad leader came onto the comm line.

"First I'm ordering all of you to spend as little time a possible in the MISTs range of fire. We don't know when they might fire that thing so be careful. Right Ariin and Zero engage the Cruxi in grid H3, I'll back you two up. Mia engage Cruxi grid H8. If you need to try to lead it towards the PDF base me or Ariin will then back you up. Elora there's a Cruxi in grid F2 do what you can to keep it busy, if you can destroy it by all means do so, but don't push yourself. We'll back you up as soon as we have eliminated our targets."

Orders were orders.

"Roger. Seven in the Neo Angel. Mission start", Mai droned on the comm line.

Mai also didn't comment on her name being mispronounced as "Mia" or even Katya using her first name over her callsign "Seven". Right now, the battle is all that matters.

From her current position in G6, Mai uses the Neo Angel's mini-thrusters to gain an additional movement space to position H7. Drawing her two Magnum Pistols, she fires one shot from each one at the tentacled Cruxi in position H8 (Left Pistol ammo: 7/8. Right Pistol ammo: 7/8. Reload clips = 2).

The Cruxi itself was an unknown to her as she quickly approached but considering the sheer number of enemies in Joppa's combat zone already, speed was of the essence here. As much as she wanted to get combat data on this unit, she had to take it down quick then proceed to the next target.

Ok. I also have to make a decision in terms of movement.

Sniper units...Mai could get crazy and head west but that'll keep her well within Mists attack range assuming it's willing to take it's own units out with her. Even if she used her mini-thrusters for a speed boost, it'd still wouldn't work. Might be safer going to the north. Those tentacled Cruxi though distrub me...more so, they sound like a new unit with an undefined purpose...not a good thing Mai would think.

...one thing I don't want to test is if Mai can "tank" Mist's attack with her T system. It's a thought that crossed my mind if Mai got seriously backed into a corner if she knew a suiside run was her only option with her beam sabers. Granted, it's rumored to be "alien" technology but that's up in the air. One: the mental stress would most likely make Mai mentally unstable even if she did survive. Two: Mai's current sync rate isn't high enough to even take that gamble.

Unless Black Star decides to take action on the sniper, Mai might head north, perhaps south towards one of the tentacled Cruxi or just stay near the LZ to stop or distract any infantry as Artamis said she would do.

Flirty. If asked, anyone would describe Celeste as a huge flirt. If it's human and walks on two legs, she's going to try and flirt with it. Sometimes she flirts unintentionally by trying to just be friendly but most of the time it's completely intentional and always used to get her way.

Cute. Celeste likes cute things and is quite cute herself. At times she does not even realize she is being cute, but if she does, then she is liable to use it to her advantage.

Blunt. She can be rather blunt, not one to sugar-coat her words or actions. She tends to tell it like it is and if she hurts your feelings, she's not one to take her words back. That isn't to say she wouldn't comfort someone in distress but she will never treat someone like a child if they are not one. Babying she does not.

Cheerful. Celeste is a rather cheerful individual that is normally seen wearing a smile. With her sunny disposition, it's quite hard to feel sadness in her presence and if she notices you are sad, she will try her best to turn that frown upside down. Nothing ever seems to bring her down and even if it does, she would hide it with a smile.

Holds Grudges. Slight her, or do her wrong in any way, and she is not likely to forget it anytime soon. Celeste can be very stubborn in the fact that she can hold grudges for a ridiculous amount of time.

Loyal. Celeste is also very loyal to her friends and would do anything to keep them safe. She hates gossip of any kind and if she knows the source of said gossip, will take matters into her own hands to see it stopped. She also does not condone bullying of any kind and with stand up for that person even if she does not know them.

One thing that can be noted about Celeste is that she can be very scary when angered. Her face turns completely emotionless and the air goes still around her like the very universe is holding it's breath. And just when you think she is about to smite you down, she turns very sweet and might even walk away; leaving you there wondering what happened. Then in a few days or even a few weeks, you might find you need something of her and she will bring up the event that made her mad in the first place and either deny to help or require a favor in return.

What people do not know and which she has only confessed to one person is that when Celeste was younger she was the complete opposite of what she is now. The flirtiness is all a front to protect herself. When she was young and gullible, boy after boy would use her for their amusement and then break her heart at the end of it all. This went on for several years until she withdrew herself behind walls. Now she protects herself by breaking the boys hearts and refusing to become attached to anyone that she could lose.

Celeste retains absolutely no memory before the age of six. Her very first memory is of opening her eyes and seeing the worried faces of her adopted mother and father hovering over her. She had been found wandering the streets, barefoot and filthy with a nasty gash on her head. They took her to the hospital where she was patched up. She didn't remember her name at all and there was no filed report of parents looking for their missing child. When no one stepped forward to claim her, Markus and Violet took her in and gave her a name. She had a brother five years older than her who adored her from the moment he laid eyes on her. Orion was always there for her, especially through the boy trouble she experienced when she got older. The twins were born and Celeste got to experience the joys of being an older sister to two rambunctious children. Life was going well until her parents jobs called them away to a neighboring planet where their ship was attacked by Cruxi. There were no survivors, thus leaving Orion and Celeste to take care of their younger siblings. Orion got a few jobs and when Celeste was old enough she was tested for Framewerk synchronization. After it was discovered she help a gift for that field, she was sent off for military training, vowing to avenge her parents deaths. Orion was slightly taken aback that she would leave him the sole care-taker of their younger siblings and angered that she would risk her life in that way.

MR- 88J "Heaven Piercer" Multi-Purpose Weapons System

The weapon starts as a 152 foot sniper rifle that fires electrified bullets. (Kinetic with Energy Coating). The weapon's shots are known to pierce through light and medium armored units with no problem. The weapon itself has no scope, as the targeting suite is located within the Frame itself. Meaning that the pilot will be able to zoom in and target from within the cockpit. When meele is needed, the weapon will then fold back to reveal a spearhead and be used as a spear. The weapon uses the electric charge from the previous bullets to charge the spear. Allowing for electric discharge on melee attacks.

B- 999Y "Star Blaster" Booster Engine

The B-999Y Booster Engine is mounted on the Frame's back and is a trans-atmospheric booster. When deployed by the pilot, a long needle-like point will extend to provide extra maneuverability in atmosphere. Its sole purpose is to accelerate the frame to extreme speeds in order to cover distance quickly. Thrust is only in one vector at a time.

Ok just finished catching up on things somewhat. First off, welcome back Gate Keeper ^_^. So that just leaves SillyGoy with Harold. I PMed both him and Gate just to be sure we didn't lose them.

I only wish it were under better circumstances considering two RPers just suddenly stopped. And if other RPers are right, they haven't even logged into RPGuild in awhile.

Am I to assume then that Harold and Daniel will be KIA during the mission when it starts? I doubt they'll suddenly get motion sickness during the warp -___-'

Hi all. Still away but thought I check in real quick.

"...Neo Angel...deploying for atmosphereic entry..."

As Mai braced herself for deployment, she then thought back to the private conversation she had with Harold and Daniel.

* * * * * * * * * *

"...thank you sir's. I do apologize for the secretive nature of my framework. While certain spec's have to remain secret...I'll try none the less to give you a general rundown on what my framework is capable of at the moment", Mai droned.

Then, perhaps catching the two pilots on the private line off-guard, Mai's voice seemed to "change". Change in that she stopped sounding like a drone and more like a normal person.

"...first off, my framework is humanoid in shape so thanks to the software installed on various mass-produced weapons, it can handle the basic stuff. Rifles, machine guns, rocket lanchers, laser rifles...if it's not a "unique" weapon to a framework, Neo Angel can most likely weild it. Sadly...Lorenzo couldn't supply my requests but instead issued two Magnum Pistols from a prior framework I used to pilot. Eight shots each with two clips means I have thirty-two shots to work with. Although not a long range weapon nor rapid fire, it does have power at close to just shy of mid range before accurracy becomes an issue."

There was a pause before she continued speaking in a normal voice.

"I also have a bunch of mini-trusters through my "wings". With the standard booster in the middle of the frameworks back, I have additional thrust and "dodging" ability since i can aim the mini-trusters in just about any direction. For a medium framework, I can be shockingly quick and agile assuming I can handle the sudden change in directions, which I am trained for, so in a sense, "rapid-deployment" or "hit-and-run" tatic's fit into Neo Angel's specialty. Though again, it can fill other roles with mass-produced weaponry assuming I have those on hand. It's also because of this that the Neo Angel also has a pair of beam sabers for melee combat."

There was a sigh before Mai's voice sounded like her typical "drone" self before she said, "I'd say more sir's but anything past that is classified. Apologies."

Well my "away" time from what I said before starts here. I also updated with an IC post real quick since, sadly, Sillygoy and Gate never posted a response during the collab. Again, my apologies for jumping ahead.

I'll be back in a week but I'll still have general internet access. Just not sure if I can do serious collabs during that week.
