@Ariamis yes, I gathered that from the pen strokes from your numbers and letters. A few of them threw me off, but I recognized the rest. My childhood best friend is left handed, so I'm used to seeing it.

I appreciate the leniency on allowing me one turns worth of charge.

@Ariamis According to what you said, and assuming cruxi play by the same rules as we do (move two and still attack), this is the effective range for the two enemy snipers in Troas.

I... I think that there might be a slight unbalance in range here.

EDIT: Joppa isn't much better.

We're so fucked.

Just to verify CWM, the triple triangle, does that indicate a single unit, or three units?

@Mr Rage
Three inverted triangles means a group of three CWMs. The number of triangles will drop with the number of mechs remaining in the unit.

@Ariamis Too bad the intro is after they landed. Cause Jason totally would've spun up a railgun shot and popped the troop ship the moment it came in

What kind of armor are we looking at on the War Machines? As I assume Intel about how thick their armor is would be known?

Also, I'd like to specify that while medium armor absorbs a quick railgun charge, it does significantly damage it.

Ok just finished catching up on things somewhat. First off, welcome back Gate Keeper ^_^. So that just leaves SillyGoy with Harold. I PMed both him and Gate just to be sure we didn't lose them.

Then there was a third new Rper with us so yeah, like I did with Lockon and Jasonhero, welcome aboard Lyra ^_^

Ok. so, maybe I am stupid and going in on a suicide run, but my theory on how to attack the mist is to use indirect attacks. It knows when it is targeted, somehow. We also know that physical attacks do no good, but energy does, so we need to use lasers and explosions to bombard the mist without directly hitting it. My potential suicide in this being that I am going to charge up my wave surger for a medium ranged attack, so I have to be withing its firing ring, and I am going to strafe it with the laser. By not targeting it, I am hoping to not trigger it's auto fire. Alternately, Caretaker could send a few bots after it, as they are autonomous and wont be a loss of life to the team if they get destroyed, objectively speaking of course. So you might use them as a good ol' CRV drone rush, once everybody is out of range.

So, with the one charge previously permitted by our lovely GM, I have to charge two more times before I am ready to fire. I intended to move to G5, the landing zone, to attack the mist. However, @DarkRecon @Apollosarcher and @Evil Snowman, you are all within the Mist AOE. So I will delay attacking the mist until you are moved out of the way. As Paladin and Caretaker are dug in, I assume that I should leave you be to defend that position for a bit longer. If you can provide cover fire going after the three CWM in H3, I'll focus on the tentacle monster in I2. The sniper in F2 is also of concern, but if Zim goes after the tentacle monster, or the CWM then he will get flanked in a hurry. So my current objective as the board currently sits, as long as caretaker and paladin can provide some draw/cover fire, is to go after the tentacle monster, then circle around the outside and go after the sniper. I'll then join in the fray on the CWMs or re-assess priorities at that point.

Neo-Angel, my recommendation for you would be to go after the tentacle monster in H8, moving out of firing range of the Mist and clearing that corner of the board.

Just my observations and recommendations. I am at work, so I wont be able to make an IC post for a few hours, but I plan on waiting for a little bit to give everybody a chance to react to my proposed plan. Caretaker, if we all like it, call it out in the comm and take credit for it ;)

@Ariamis are you able to tell me or not. If the mist firing sequence require a charge up period? Or is it simply instant death to all living things dumb enough to get to close? I can't recall that being said or not. If so are you able to tell me can we detect it with werks senors.

Really should have taken better notes.

If mist is still operational in Troas when I arrive, keep in mind that my railgun has HE (High Explosive) rounds that are meant to cover area, and count as energy attacks.

Also, since only like three people responded to Skype idea and more seem to be active now; I'd like to repropose we make a Skype group for this rp. Just to chat, get to know each other. Maybe discuss some matters in the rp.

I know I used a Skype chat to inform my Doom Squad that I'd have a post up and when it was up. As well as advise on some matters they'd know. But up to you guys.

@Evil Snowman
In the briefing it was mentioned that Mist immediately responds to any direct attacks by activating with no cooldowns. However, @Mr Rage has the right idea on how to tackle it, so if all pilots work together you can take it down. Elora's HUD upgrade also informs when the weapon is activated.

Edit: 1000 OOC POSTS, HOLY SHIT. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE.
