@DarkRecon Well her family isn't the designer, but I suppose they could all be designed by the same dude, but I'm not sure that Ojo or El are going to have anything to do with the T system. But, we could use El as the catalyst to start the conversation between Maria and Zim about the similarities between Black Star and Neo Angel.

As a general statement, In retrospect of that previous mission, I do feel like things went a little too smoothly. Am I the only one that feels that way? I mean, I know the infiltration team had a hard time of it, but unlike Troas/Joppa it really never felt like "oh crap, we might lose this one!" So, I feel like between that and the obvious foreshadowing that this battle isn't entirely behind us. So that is why I am glad that I am introducing this defense based support werk, because I really feel like we are going to need it!

Also, has everyone seen the new show coming out soon DARLING in the FRANKXX (with or without the k, there seems to be some confusion there)? It is a new Mecha anime coming out soon (next month I think?) With a lot of the creative staff behind gurran laggan, kill la kill, some of the gundam series, and a bunch of other really good shows and crazy action scenes. I am really excited about it. What I am not terribly excited about is the mech designs. Anyone who has looked into it, what are your thoughts?

That works. And yeah, maybe El's kingdom in general were responsible for the "base" design before the other stuffs like the T system were added in. Just saying that maybe their works started there in design.

And yeah, Maria also feels that way. She knows that something is going to happen due to how powerful the Cruxi's mind control is. It was one of the reasons why she kept saying "that thing isn't worth it" in general but I'm sure others just see it as emotional unlbalanced. But because of her new found "emotions", she's focusing on getting the war crime charges dropped on Serah and Elora if they go after her too despite Lorenzo keeping her in confinement.

Still having trouble making a post about that though...though the general idea is that Maria is going to walk away from the group to talk to Jake about helping her with making a case to support Serah and Elora.

And I'm back from my trip. Hope you all had a good holiday ^_^. And a New Year too if I miss the chance ^_^

So Mr Rage. I know we talked about it but considering your second character and even the "look" of her mech, do you want to agree that El's family were the designers of Neo Angel and Black Star?

I even thought that Mai/Maria had a history with El. She said that, due to her "Seven" persona, she wound up bouncing from division to division. Maybe they couldn't tolerate each other?

Yep, that's a good explanation. Thank you for the icon, it really helps. The bomb is definitely too broken for a secondary, even if it does friendly fire. The EMP gun on the other hand I can get behind; cool name and design, and the weapon has reasonable limits to it. Make it medium-long range (6) and the entire sheet is accepted.

Well Maria is going to help both of them. But as I was was saying, not sure how to go about it besides lawyering up with Jake providing evidence in general.

But honestly, Lorenzo playing favorites on Elora over Serah didn’t surprise me. I figured, much like my character has a dark past but uses the T System D, Elora also has a unique quality of some sort that Lorenzo wants to exploit. Maybe her mind reading or something more...

Hi all. Posting this through my iPhone so sorry if I sound like a broken Macintosh pc.

So when I come back tomorrow, was thinking about what to do. Maria would think the POW will still try something but due to her feelings, would want to help Serah with her case if possible. Smart as he is, Jake could get evidence like the sync rates drop during that ambush.

Though I don’t know how to play lawyer.

As if Maria/Mai didn't feel like crap as is. NOW she has to deal with this on top of her anger issues.

Also everyone...I should have said something about this earlier but after monday, I'm goind to be away. While I'll still have internet on my phone, trying to make a post on it may prove difficult assuming I have the time. I'll be back saturday but I'll still be keeping watch on this.

And for right now...I don't think Maria/Mai would be too pleased with trying to bring that Cruxi back. I also had an idea that maybe her mom lost her life BECAUSE she was trying to protect a Cruxi B.O.W. Hence why she saw that duel with her and the Cruxi.

Either way, she'd feel the same as Elora just minus the whole "Son" thing.

Robin was focusing on healing the victim when he saw Could come up.

He wanted to stop him. Tell him that he can save this individual. That he could make it...

But he saw the emotionless look on his face as he grabbed his giant sword.

...then...the awful decision Cloud Strife made for him.

The sight of what he saw...was nothing like he'd ever seen on the many battlefields he had been on in his world.

Worse, what came out of the victim caught his attention.

The one he remembered called Shante did what Cloud ordered and attacked the slug being. And just for good measure, Robin launched an attack of his own with his Thunder tome.

"Thunder!"

After seeing the slug whither up, Robin then looked at Could as Shante ran off to help deal with the monster with the sack. He wanted to get mad at him. That he acted too rashly. But he knew it wouldn't matter.

Instead, he put his hoodie back over his head.

"...come Cloud...we have to stop this...from getting worse", Robin simply said as he now was holding his heal staff and thunder tome, having placed his Levin sword in his cloak. He then ran ahead to assist the others.

Still here as well. Though Ariamis, not sure if you feel a collab is needed to address Maria right now though honestly, I'm waiting on everyone else to post in case they want in on whatever starts up between Ritsu and Maria.

When the accouncement came for all pilots to report in generally, Jake was about to leave the medical ward when Maria suddenly rose from her bed, her hand now on his.

"...Jake...take me with you", she suddenly said.

Needless to say, even Jake was a bit creeped out. And she wanted to go even in a hospital dress?

"...uh...Maria...you do know-"

"Yeah. I was listening to you butting in on Serah by the way", she suddenly said, cutting him off.

"...man...my percetiveness is getting rusty if all you did was nap and not dreaming", Jake said.

While the nurse didn't approve at first, she then relented. Though she quickly gave Maria a pair of white sweatpants she had on hand in the room. Quickly putting it on while still wearing her hospital gown, she then let Jake escort her out.

During the walk, she had noticed Elise and her new eye patch look. Maria had a sad look on her face when she saw it.

"...Elise...I'm sorry...even if was on infiltration, I should have gotten the job done sooner...", she had said along the way when she had pulled up in her wheelchair.

Honestly, Maria was still reeling from what Elora did. For a long time, letting "Seven" do most of the work gave her the mind set of simply being quiet and only coming out in certain social situations. Or not come out at all.

All that has changed now...but feeling guilt, depression, happiness and every other emotion that she tired to throw away now came back. And it was difficult re-embracing them after all her losses in her life and perhaps the more that were about to come.

Either way, she was keeping herself in check...that is, until they were led into the containment cell block and Maria got her first look at a Cruxi inside it's cell.

...the one she THOUGHT she killed. The one she was shown to have killed her mother.

And as if to rub salt on the wound, she then saw Elora in a similar cell.

Jake was the first to see it. Maira was clenching her fists.

"...uh...Captain Ritsu...heads up...", Jake suddenly said tilting his head towards Maria.

Maria then looked at Ritsu with a controlled expression on her face but the anger was clearly shown.

"...it's...bad enough...that..."thing" is still alive...but now your treating Elora the same way...tell me...with the combat system I use and now my perfect sync, will you throw me into containment as well?...I told you...bringing that Cruxi in isn't worth it...", Maria suddenly said in a low tone.
