Current I found out that Peter Cullen, the voice of Eeyore and Optimus Prime, himself, also provided the vocalizations for the Predator in the first movie. What can't that man do?

Just finished the last three episodes of Arcane. It was a good finale, but I think I'll need to sleep on it to really figure out how I feel about it

The cliffhanger in that last episode of Arcane was dirty. How can the writers sleep at night, making me wait another week?

Location: Edge of the Treatment Plant
Interactions: The Team

Vincent had just landed in a tree near the water treatment plant, just close enough to make out not only the figures of Deathstroke and Daphne, but Viktor and Kila. He crouched there, waiting for a chance to charge in, only to feel his blood run cold when he heard Rain over the comms. He opened his mouth to argue, but stopped himself. Something in his voice told Vincent that arguing wouldn't do him any favors, that the decision was final. The hand he had braced against the trunk of the tree tightened, the wood creaking as he felt his anger bubble to the surface. Thin, black wisps of carbon began to flow from his body and he felt the steel on his implant ripple dangerously. He suddenly slammed his unhardened fist against the trunk of the tree, using the pain to bring himself back, to get a lid on his anger.

He stood up and glared down at the scene before him. Even then, he wracked his brain for any kind of plan, one that didn't involve losing either Daphne or Kila. If I moved fast enough, I could get Daphne away...No. The asshole in that stupid-looking mask would probably set her on fire the second he saw me. Maybe I can swoop in while they make the trade-off, make some chaos until the others get away? Yeah, right. Not everyone's bulletproof, Vincent. He grit his teeth, furious with the situation and himself.

Why the fuck do I always end up so goddamn useless on these missions?!
I'll throw my hat in, if you're still taking people
Zac casually made his way back to the First District, though he had to stop to deal with occasional pack of Heartless. Over the years, he had grown strong enough that fighting the Heartless of Traverse Town had become more of a minor annoyance than a life-or-death situation, so he had hardly broken a sweat by the time he made it to his destination. Dismissing his Keyblade, he beelined it for the shop in the center of the square, where he knew his fellow mechanic would be.

The bell above the door let out a cheerful ring as Zac entered with an equally cheerful, "Heya, Cid! Great seeing you, as always!"

"What'd you break, this time?" came the cantankerous reply. Cid stood behind the counter, the ever-present toothpick in his mouth as he looked at Zac. Though he didn't sound particularly thrilled to see the young man, Zac could see a hint of a smirk playing at the corner of the man's mouth.

"Ah, come on, is that really how you should greet an old friend?" Zac responded, only to add, "Never mind," upon remembering who he was talking to. He reached into his pocket and pulled at a folded sheet of paper, which he placed on the counter and slid over to Cid. "You're right. I need some parts. Long story short, I got attacked, Sigrid took a beating, and I had to make an emergency crash-landing on a world I was near. I was able to jury-rig a patch job while grounded, but Sigrid's not going anywhere until I can get a more permanent fix."

Cid picked up the paper and read over the list of parts written on it before clicking his tongue. "'Took a beating' is a bit of an understatement, don't you think?" he asked. "They must've caught you napping or something. Not often you get this banged up." He slipped the paper in his pocket as he continued, "I've got most of the parts in stock, but I'll have to machine the rest. Shouldn't take me more than a few hours, so if you can handle the repairs yourself, you should be able to take off by the end of the day. I'll loan you a cart so you can take the parts I do have over to your ship."

Zac let out a sigh of relief. "Thanks, Cid, you're a lifesaver!" he said as he turned for the door...only to be stopped when Cid cleared his throat.

He finished writing something in a small notebook, tore the paper out, and set it on the counter. "Forgetting something?" he asked as he tapped the paper.

Zac swallowed nervously and walked back over to the counter. He picked up the paper and felt his blood run cold. He set the paper, which was actually a receipt for the parts and labor, on the counter and clasped his hands together. "That's just a little bit higher than I can afford right now, Cid. I've still gotta restock for when I take off! Any way you could put that on my tab? You know I'm good for it!" he pleaded.

Cid narrowed his eyes at Zac. Sure, he never had to wait long for Zac to repay his debts, always with interest (that he never asked for), but it was a routine he had grown too familiar with over the years. Still, looking at the young Keyblade wielder, Cid was reminded of the first time they met, how Zac's passion for Gummi ships and even flight in general reminded him of himself. Cid rubbed the back of his head and sighed. "Alright, fine," he muttered. "Last time, got it? If people find out about all the breaks I've given you, I'll be out of business."

Zac beamed and picked up the receipt, a reminder of what he owed Cid. "Thank you so much! I'll even bring you a souvenir next time I see you!" He turned to leave, then stopped once more. He turned back and asked, "Before I forget, have you seen any new faces around? The world I was on got taken by darkness, but I managed to get a few people off-world before it was lost. Some others stayed behind, but since people tend to find their way here, I was wondering if you might've seen them?"

Cid thought for a moment before answering. "Well...there was this one girl a little while ago, before you got here. Short, brown hair, liked the color blue. She called herself 'Hoshi.' I told her to hang around until Leon came by and he'd get her situated."

Zac slowly nodded. He thought back to when he made his way to Cid's shop, but couldn't remember if he had seen her or not, though he hadn't been actively looking for her. "He must've found her, then," he muttered. With a shrug, he added, "Well, if I see any of the people I brought, I'll be sure to let them know at least one of their friends are okay." With that, he exited the shop and, within the next hour, he was on his way back to his ship with a cartload of new parts.

I forgot about this. This could be what reunites everyone if y'all want. Unless you feel like the group would be too big to face it all together.

I'm thinking Zac wouldn't be present for that fight, if we go through with it for a couple of reasons: his focus right now is the ship and I feel like if he were there, the fight would be a bit too trivial. Having been on his own journey for so long, I imagine he's naturally a higher level than everyone else (I know we're not using game mechanics, but this is the best way I can explain it lol), so I'm planning on him only participating in fights if he's absolutely needed, not counting smaller, unimportant skirmishes.

That reminds me, as far as the tournament goes, unless everyone's had a ton of growth by then, I'm thinking Zac will either only spectate or he'll be the final fight.

Maybe he's heard rumors of the Org? They're generally operate under the radar so as not to draw attention to themselves, at least until thevconfront Sora.

Largely depends on what I decide to do with his story. Without spoiling too much, and I've already talked to Kindred about this, he's already had a run-in with either the big bad of this arc or the Organization. I haven't decided which, but either way, it's a pretty huge moment in his personal arc

Are we assuming people will converge at Merlin's before being sent off to different worlds?

I didn't have any plans for Zac to go to Merlin's, outside of guiding Lucian there, but I can probably think of a reason if he has to be there

He could either recall or learn that during Chain of Memories as his own memories are explored or Kingdom Hearts 2.

Yeah, I have no intention of him bringing them up before CoM, at the earliest

The backstory of the Heartless remain unchanged. So there are some legends about their origins, but most people wouldn't know about them unless they've experienced them, researched them, or were taught about them by someone else.

Speaking of which, I've been trying to figure out just how much Zac has learned by this point. I think his knowledge might extend to the Nobodies and Organization XIII's existence, but that's probably it. He might know about how a Somebody can be recompleted, but I'm leaning toward him not knowing that, yet
If anyone wanted to interact with Levi in the first district, don't worry. He'll be right back.

In a few minutes in-universe.

With several new wounds.

Maybe running headlong into an area full of heartless without a keyblade isn't the best plan. Just maybe.

Want Zac to help him out? Otherwise, all I've got for my next post is him chatting a bit with Cid before going back to the ship to fix it

On the note of fleshing out worlds, I Was going to say that a long while back... or maybe I did? I have memory issues. But basically what I wanted to say is...

For me personally it's important that it feels like the worlds matter. It's not just a place to show up and do 'Kingdom Hearts' stuff. But it's also not just a place to show up and do 'Stuff from that world'. The best way I can explain it is...

In KH3 I really liked the Toy Story world, because you set off on a completely unique adventure separate from the movies, the characters all interacted with Sora, Donald, and Goofy, and cared that they were there, and their presence had a legitimate effect on the story, and in fact the way Buzz was so suspicious of them, the fact they didn't belong in that world pretty much drove the plot.

In KH3 I really disliked the Frozen world, because it literally did not matter if you were there or not. It was just, the events of the movie happen, and meanwhile Sora, Donald, and Goofy also happen to be there and kinda sorta help Anna out with something but beyond that, the events of the movie transpire completely separate from your own story, it just happens to be in the same world while Sora chases Larxene around.

There is no point in going to a world just so that the events of the movie or other media from that world can take place while our characters do their own separate thing in the meantime.

That's why I also loved San Fransokyo. It really felt like everything that happened in that world could be used to set up a sequel.

Also, I don't get why people were suddenly concerned with interfering in the happenings of the world. Why didn't anyone call out Sora for meddling in Tarzan's story as much as he did or Alice's if it was such a big deal?
