Current I think I'm Advanced+ level and could do that. But under Adv, I feel compelled to write a certain way and it makes writing feel more like a chore even if it's just in my head. Thus, I prefer Casual

Many people equate "Advanced" to "Big, high effort posts with lots of flowery language." It's a habitual thought I struggle to shake as an RPer with 20+ years of writing experience. It's very draining

> I feel like that's the wrong mentality to have. Especially with my specific instructions that we don't need the canon Knights. Less Dragons more everything else I say. Well, I don't think any demon type knights work technically... but Gallantmon and Crusademon are Viruses, so that counts for something That's fair, but if there's a newcomer that comes in at the last second and wants to claim a canon knight, I personally wouldn't want to be that guy who's using one of those now-filled slots with a knight that's not amidst the other knights. But, if you insist I can work on Henry's (my human with Gaomon as his partner) file~
> @Digizel- I'd be amused if a MirageGaogamon were, in fact, used as a Knight, if you're still thinking that Heh. Yeah, I think I'd like to use MirageGaogamon, but I'm going to wait on that until we're sure we've got everybody who will be participating. I wouldn't want to make a noncanon Knight take a slot until we're sure that we're not getting anyone else. > Alternatively, Digi, you could use ChaosGallantmon. Then you can have a dark elemental character. That's true, but I would still feel inclined to use BlackGuilmon, which doesn't really change much anyway. xD And yeah, I have to agree. I wish they had been more creative with the Knights as well. Although the ones that aren't draconic in some way are pretty awesome to look at as is I suppose~
Yeah, that's definitely something I don't like about the new site update. The formatting is so weird and the spacing is really annoying to work with.... For Omnimon X, I think I'll just have him have his battle intuition for his Inforce and give him a barrier move, which I'll make sure to clarify that weakness about using it that I mentioned before. I'll edit it in when I copy the CS to the OOC when I have a chance~ Also, normally I wouldn't be against myself using Gallantmon...but if I want to use another character, I'd rather if it wasn't another fire-element lizard. xD
Heh. Well, I could bring my Gaomon character into this, although I haven't developed him nearly as well as I have Hide. And I almost hate to say, but my Gaomon is rather similar to the one from the Savers anime. But he sees it more as babysitting rather than being in his service. Oh yeah, I would agree with that. Although, I suppose maybe they're comparing their strength against average opponents as opposed to against each other. Ah, nevermind. I was just thinking of having a BlackAgumon Digimon kind of be occasionally present, getting stronger as Agumon does. But of course, that may be a bit too much focus on him. xD Right. the names.... Well, I'll have time later to think it over. It would be nice not having moves that weren't just "stick "Omega/Omni" in front of it" xP Hm.... Well, my idea was that using one stops the other from working. If he wants to use his barrier, he can't receive that battle intuition for a short time afterward. In a way, if he uses the barrier, he has to use the Inforce's power and wait for it to return before he can begin receiving the premonitions again. That way, he can't just spam it, but rather use it only when he has little other choice. It would leave him quite vulnerable if he used it too often and the enemy picked up on the opening. I can imagine him mostly using it when he's pinned by an attack (like if he dodges, somebody else could get hit in the crossfire) or with particularly powerful/speedy attacks that he can't get away from. If you'd still rather I don't do that, though (and I can fully understand why), I think I would probably want to go with the intuition version of it. It fits his battle style more than playing defense with a shield.
Ah, I see. Heheh...I suppose, then I should be lucky that you decided to stick with Alphamon myself. xP That's pretty cool, though. I do actually have another character with a Gaomon partner...and I think MirageGaogamon is very knight-like. If we needed another character, I could probably double with them if you're willing to let him in. xD Yeah, I'm with you on that regard. I was never a fan of the redesign. GeoGreymon was pretty cool ecept for those belts, but RizeGreymon was my favorite form of the Savers line. But yeah, I'm with you on that. ShineGreymon supposedly being stronger does bother me a little too. Heh. Speaking of which, it might be cool if a Digimon like that made an appearance. Maybe early on as a BlackAgumon to kind of...rival Agumon in terms of strength. But yeah, I think you're right. A full-body barrier move like Brave Shield would probably be good to have. How about something like "Omni Shield" with the Omnimon X having a stronger version, the "Omega Shield?" Or I could tie in Omnimon X's shield to the Omega Inforce. Instead of simply using a barrier of light, he could tap into the power of the inforce and create a virtually impenetrable barrier on top of having that battle intuition of his? Perhaps they could also be tied together through a weakness also. Like...if he uses the barrier, he loses that intuition of sorts for a few seconds? That way, he doesn't just use it to stop any attack thrown his way and only uses it when he needs/really wants to?
Thanks! Are you referring to his love for battle and relative lack of strength? Or with Hide and Agumon being so drastically different? That's what I was going for with Hide and Agumon. The fact that they are so drastically difference is something that isn't explored very much. Usually, Digimon are perfect for their partners. Mine are the other way around because I feel it will help harbor character development. And I always find it a lot of fun when a cocky, hotheaded person lost more often than they won, so that ended up turning into what he is now. Agumon himself was originally designed to go in combination with a made-up Crest of Strength in an RP of my own. In truth, it refers to inner strength, but that's not something they would realize until they're ready for their Mega Level. Thanks. In truth, I liked RizeGreymon better than I did MetalGreymon. But I liked all of the other original forms over the 2006 version of him. But if there was already a RizeGreymon, I would have been more than willing to use MetalGreymon anyway. =} And thanks! I was hoping to find pictures that weren't too big so that they didn't stretch the page more, but also to better represent his personality (or being just plain better looking than the official artworks for the general Digimon). Unfortunately, some of the ones I wanted to use were simply too big. Ah, yeah for the re-working, it's mostly just X-Omnimon. His attacks are kind of the same, but in order to make him a stronger version of Omnimon, rather than an alternate, I decided to alter the attacks. Change the names, slightly alter them...and I actually added Omega Ruin myself because I thought it'd be a great idea. Omega Inforce...that's what had me worried for a moment. You see, I haven't really watched the modern Digimon shows all that closely. I didn't much like Xros Wars and how different it was (which is strange, because I did like Frontier), so I never watched it all the way through. The last series I saw to the end was Savers. So you might need to explain to me exactly what Omega InForce actually is. when I google it, I only get a very generic "He has the power of Omega InForce" or some other unhelpful statement.
{Oh for the love of.... I just spent about an hour typing and re-wording a profile for my character. And then I hit preview to check to see if everything looked alright. But then I wanted to change something and hit "Backspace"...which sent me back to the previous page and I lost everything.} Yeah, I think he should work well enough. But here's the information on him anyway, just to make sure: **Name**: Hideaki "Hide" saitou **Age**: 18 **Gender**: Male **Designation**: Child 2 **Photo**: ![Hideaki Saitou's basic appearance](http://i44.tinypic.com/w7ikvd.jpg "Hideaki Saitou") **Dossier**: Hide was born in the United States, but raised in Japan. His parents were successful lawyers in the States and soon moved to Japan in order to become successful in another country's legal system as well when Hide was still a toddler. His father is a defense attorney and his mother a prosecutor. They both agree that they want Hideaki to also become a proficient attorney when he gets old enough, so they spared no expense to give him the greatest education they could. They home-schooled him, gave him the best private instructors that their money could buy.... When his high school-level days approached, he was practically buried by his books. Both those that he needed to study with and the ones he read in his personal time. However, his parents did often disagree on which side of the courtroom they wanted him to pursue. It was nothing major that they fought over, and the times they did fight about it, it was only in small bickers at a time. But eventually, Hide decided that he needed to start getting some fresh air to clear his head and get some fresh thoughts flowing. It is during times like these that he often found himself wandering the town by himself, exploring and eventually making his way through various schools around the city, driven by his curiosity about how other children received their education. However, he never made outside friends. But he was content living the way he was. Loneliness never struck him so long as his parents continued to set time aside for him and play his favorite games with them...usually puzzle or strategy games like Chess. In fact, Chess quickly became his specialty. He played and studied the game so much that he was able to beat his father and any computer AI-controlled opponents in any program he ever installed on his personal computer on any difficulty level. He became a phenomenal tactician, learning how to read at least a couple of steps ahead. His parents harbored this talent of his and helped him grow it, as it would become very useful in courtroom arguments. Hide continued to live peacefully in this manner, continuing his usual routine until he soon realized that his High School-level days were nearly behind him. It would not be long before he was sent off to a private college, where he would then transfer into a prestigious law school. He just hoped that he would be able to handle such a change in his lifestyle.... **Other**: Due to his tactical-focused mind, he has become a very rational thinker; one who is able to even think clearly through extremely stressful situations (helped by the constant pressure of his studies). He is a very logical individual who will often base his decisions solely on what is the most reasonable selection given the known facts and balancing it against the unknown variables. However, due to his semi-secluded lifestyle, he has very little physical athletic ability. And here's his Digimon: **Seat**: Seat 01 **Gender**: Male **Control Method**: Until he reaches his Omnimon level, he is actually nothing too impressive when it comes to battle prowess. He is certainly far from weak, but his punches are a lot softer than he thinks they are. In terms of overall battle capability, however, he is painfully below average. Most of the fights he picks, he will lose. The only times he can consistently win is when he is most needed. It is actually his stamina and willpower that are his specialties. He can take a lot more hits than the average Digimon and still find the will to stand back up again. It takes a lot more to bring him down for good (though just because he's still standing doesn't necessarily mean he'll be in any condition to keep fighting). Overall, he is a somewhat slower fighter and not as physically strong as he wants to be, below average for Digimon on his level. When he reaches his Ultimate level, his speed rises greatly, but his physical strength is still lacking. When he becomes Omnimon, however, he becomes a much more well-balanced fighter, with a slight focus on speed and his stamina still remaining his strong point. **Personality**: A warrior at heart, Agumon loves fighting above all else. However, he prefers fighting for sport rather than for destruction or pain. He has a very powerful moral compass and will hesitate to purposely destroy any Digimon, even evil ones. He is also very rash with a temper that is extremely easy to flare. He despises being underestimated (from his point of view). To him, his strength is everything. If he can't prove himself, he will never be satisfied. This does not mix well with his actual physical abilities, which are usually rather sub-par, resulting in him constantly trying to train himself at any opportunity and he tries to develop his techniques and learn new ways of using them. Due to his hot-headed nature, he very often picks fights...many of which that are accepted he ends up losing. If he feels that somebody really needs his help, however, he will fight much harder and his capabilities will temporarily improve as a result. As such, his true strength only shines when it's needed. #### Baby- **Name**: Botamon **Attribute**: N/A **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/3/39/Botamon.gif) **Technique**: Acid Bubbles - Shoots bubbles from his mouth toward the foe. Inflicts extremely minor damage. #### In-Training- **Name**: Koromon **Attribute**: Data **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/thumb/2/24/Koromon2.jpg/200px-Koromon2.jpg) **Technique**: Bubbles - Fires a short barrage of bubbles that inflict very minor damage each #### Rookie- **Name**: Agumon **Attribute**: Vaccine **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/6/67/Agumon_cs.jpg) **Techniques**: Pepper Breath - Fires a small fireball from his mouth. Inlicts minor, fire-based damage. Claw Attack - Slashes his claws against the opponent's body from close range. Inflicts minor physical damage. Claw Uppercut - Derived from Claw Attack; Strikes the opponent from below and (if small enough) knocks them upward. Inflicts minor physical damage. #### Champion- **Name**: Greymon **Attribute**: Vaccine **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/5/58/Greymon_front.png) **Techniques**: Nova Blast - Shoots a large fireball from his mouth. Moderate speed. Inflicts somewhat minor, fire-based damage. Great Horn Attack- Headbutts the opponent with powerful horns. Inflicts moderate physical damage. #### Ultimate- **Name**: RizeGreymon **Attribute**: Vaccine **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/c/c3/RizeGreymon_collectors.png) **Techniques**: Trident Revolver - Burst of three rapid fireball blasts from his arm canon. Inflicts good fire-based damage. Rising Destroyer - Shoots a laser blast from his concealed chest canons and the 3-point beam canons on his wings. Inflicts moderately good damage with each part individually, but moderately high damage if they all strike the same target at the same time. Barrel Smash - Slams his foe with the barrel of his canon as hard as he can. Inlicts good physical damage. Solid Strike - Derived from Barrel Smash; rushes at a high speed to deliver the barrel blow. Increased momentum means higher damage output, but will leave him more vulnerable if it is evaded. #### Mega- **Name**: WarGreymon **Attribute**: Vaccine **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/c/cd/WarGreymon2.jpg) **Techniques**: Terra Force - Concentrates atmospheric energies into a large fireball and throws it. Inflicts high damage. Mega Claw - Using the Dramon Killer gauntlets on his arms to slash at the foe. Inflicts moderately high physical damage on most Digimon. Inflicts very high damage against Dramon-type Digimon. Great Tornado - Spins and creates a tornado around himself, striking the opponent directly like a drill. Inflicts moderately high physical damage. High speed. Brave Shield - Grabs the "shell wings" on his back and combines them, forming a shield that can repel most attacks on his level. #### Mega II/Royal Knight- **Name**: Omnimon **Attribute**: Vaccine **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/5/59/Omegamon2.gif) **Techniques**: Transcendent Sword - Slashes his Omni Sword in his Grey Arm. Inflicts very high physical damage Garuru Cannon - Fires a blast of energy from his Garuru Arm. Inflicts very high light/energy-based damage. Omni Howl - Charges for a short time before firing a powerful blast of energy from the Garuru Arm. Inflicts extremely high energy damage. Is vulnerable during the charging period and must maintain his focus the entire time in order to shoot. Getting struck hard enough will most likely disrupt his focus. Omni Sword - Charges energy into the Omni Sword in his Grey Arm before slashing. Inflicts very high physical damage backed by high light/energy damage (totaling about the same as an Omni Howl. Same restrictions apply.) Sword of Ruin - Creates an explosive cross-slash with the Omni Sword. Inflicts extremely high fire-based damage, but can harm anybody within range, allies and himself included if he is not careful. Royal Shield - Swings his cape around and uses it like a barrier, blocking most ranged attacks. Does not work very well against strong physical attacks. #### Ascended Royal Knight **Name**: Omnimon X **Attribute**: Vaccine **Appearance**: ![](http://wikimon.net/images/d/d7/Omegamonx.jpg) **Techniques**: Omega Transcendent Sword - Slashes with the blade of an empowered Omni Sword. Inflicts extremely high physical damage. Can unleash a shockwave to deal very high non-physical damage that gets weaker the farther it travels until it dissipates completely or strikes something. Omega Howl - Unleashes a beam attack from an empowered Garuru Cannon. Inflicts extremely high light/energy based damage. Omega Ruin - An empowered version of Sword of Ruin. Slashes three times instead of twice and creates a bigger more powerful explosion. He is likely to get himself caught in the attack and is to be used more as a last resort. Royal Guard - The characters on the Grey Sword begin to glow and he draws a circle with the blade, creating a barrier that protects him from all frontal attacks. The barrier bears the symbol of Courage. Royal Barrier - The eyes on the Garuru Cannon begin to glow and it unleashes a burst of energy creating a barrier with a range that he can control. The larger the barrier, however, the more energy it consumes. Energy is also expended from him anytime something strikes it (the more powerful the attack, the more energy is used to keep it active). Designed to protect a group from a large number of weaker attacks rather than protecting from a single, powerful blow. Bears the symbol of Friendship on the barrier itself. Omega Inforce - Not so much a technique, but a static ability he has acquired at this stage. A battle intuition in which he can virtually see danger coming before it actually comes. He does not foresee the actual attack necessarily, but he senses where it is coming from. Essentially, it allows him to never be surprise attacked. (rather similar to Spider Sense) --- And that should be it. Sorry for the long post. The site does not allow me to use hider tags anymore. xD Does this seem acceptable to you? I tried to re-work Omnimon and his X form to hopefully make them better suited for this. The power listed is more for general comparison's sake. Don't take the damage output wording too strictly. Also, go ahead and send that PM (if you haven't already). I'm willing to listen to what you might need from me~ (Also...heh. Thanks. The Bui's my favorite Pokémon, so I worked it into my original online username. xD And by happy coincidence, it strikes a balance between Pokémon and Digimon, which I could never choose between.)
Greetings! I was just reading this over from Fell's invitation and the fact that a couple of slots have gone unclaimed as of yet seems pretty much perfect for me. After all, my main Digimon character typically has an Agumon as a partner, which can end at the Omnimon level (although I usually stop at WarGreymon/ShineGreymon since I am often absent one Gabumon). I have a question, though. Would it be possible if I modified the Omnimon part a bit? I was thinking that perhaps his Omnimon form could be weakened to the same level as the other Royal Knights (essentially crafting that second of three forms that you mention in the original post)...but it is his Omnimon X form (which he would get at a later point, whenever you would want him to normally receive his Knight Item) that has the Omni/Omega Inforce capabilities and is stronger? Either way, I'd love to jump in with my characters if it's not too late. xD
Just to let you know, it'll be a bit before I can get a reply up. I've got a bit of extra work that needs to be done lately, as the semester is coming into its last month or so. But I'll do it as soon as I can~
Well, for the two newcomers who might not be able to get into the RP, another Digimon RP could perhaps be started elsewhere if you wanted to give it a shot. You know for sure that you'll have at the very least one person interested. xP Or, if you're interested in this alternative, I could be more than happy to try to do a one on one with you. Digimon RP's are a rare sight and I'd like to be able to keep the interest in the topic alive. xD

If Rin is able to complete her character by Saturday, then might it be safe to possibly set a deadline for characters? I don't mean to be pushy, but I am a bit concerned at the lack of progress on a couple of these characters after so many days. Perhaps if we don't have seven Tamer and Digimon partner character pairs filled out, we could make it a first come, first served kind of deal? We don't necessarily have to have the deadline be Saturday of course, and could give people a couple days extra time, but...well I mean, is it really doing anybody any good if somebody is claiming the spot, but then not really producing a character when there are people who could already have a character ready to go?
