Was talking to someone who worked in closed captioning who is now getting a new degree because so many companies are turning to AI to close caption now… Which AI is pretty shite at it still.

Games I haven’t been playing video games lately, but once I pick them back up again, I’ll make this list

Xavier gives his hand a gentle squeeze as the doctor comes in. He stands, wanting to make sure he’s not in the way, but still close enough in case Killian needs him. He let out a little sigh of relief when everything turns out to be normal almost in sync with Killian’s soft sigh.
With a small chuckle, he takes his seat by Killian’s bed and picks up his hand in both of his. He’s tempted to kiss his knuckles, but he refrains for now. “All the Omegas made it out safe, thanks to you.” He tells Killian gently.
Nic watches as Cassi starts grabbing items too fast for him to check the price tags. “Am I trying all of these on… today?” He asks with an eyebrow raised as the items in her arms start piling up. “‘Cause I feel like this might take up a whole week.”
Nero
Location: Caden & Nero’s Home - Chicago, IL Skills: Fit
“Now hold on, what if ants get to my cake?” Nero teases as Caden puts it down on the ground before chuckling at his offer. “Like a… what’s it called, a piggyback ride?” They hop from one foot to the other as they shift their weight back and forth.
Xavier smiles politely at the nurse. “Thank you, the doctor would be great.” Xavier glances at the hand moving towards him. Killian would’ve seen where he put the water, so was he… reaching for him? Xavier gently places his hand in his and smiles. “Is it okay for me to touch you? I don’t want to push you.”
Xavier watches, still a bit concerned, but happy that Killian isn’t kicking him out. When he hands the water back, Xavier refills it and sets it on the little overbed table. It’d been a long time since he’d last seen an Omega come out of being feral. His knowledge of how to help hasn’t increased since then. The door opens and a nurse walks in.
“Oh good, you’re awake! Let me go grab the doctor.”
Xavier clears his throat before the nurse can leave the room. “Killian, did you need anything before he goes and grabs the doctor?” He asks, looking away from the nurse and at Killian instead.
Nic kisses her back and even though it’s brief, it leaves him wanting more. However, he doesn’t want their first time to be in the back of Caden’s SUV. He grins lopsidedly at Cassi when she pulls back, ears a little red as some people passing by gave them sidelong glances for their public display of affection. He grins because he’s glad that they both have that understanding now and because he’s a little proud he guessed her worries right on the first try.
That pride quickly dissolves when they walk into the first store and he remembers how much he hates shopping. “Is it too late to go to a thrift store?” He asks Cassi softly, trying to keep a polite smile on his face.
Nero
Location: Caden & Nero’s Home - Chicago, IL Skills: Fit
Nero nods, eyes wide with curiosity even still as they watch Caden. All around them lines seem to appear and glow, flowing from Caden or into him, Nero can’t quite tell. They raise an eyebrow at the news that there’s a weak spot, but are unable to hide their delight at the purple hue in his eyes.
“Only if I can hold your hand on the way.” Nero says in a bratty tone. If they still can’t touch him, they’re fine with it. It’s fun teasing him anyway. And I can’t tease them more about space… His poor face when I told him about the knocking!
Xavier simply nods and stands up, flipping the switch for the lights above Killian’s bed first before moving to turn off the rest of the room’s lights and close the curtains. When Killian start to try and sit up, Xavier rushes to his side. “You don’t need to push yourself. I’ve got some water for you if you’d like and… I can get Rowan if you’d prefer…”
Xavier sits up as soon as he senses movement from Killian’s bed. He watches him carefully, concern etched into his expression. “It must be from how dilated your pupils got.” Xavier says softly as he grabs a cup of water. “You’re in the hospital - do you want me to turn the lights off for you?” He hesitates to touch Killian in this moment, even though he desperately wants to hold him.
“You’re right… I just hope my siblings feel the same. Well, we know Lucian and Aethel will… “ Xavier trails off and nods instead. He can worry over the details later. He glances at Rowan as he sighs and stands. “I will. I’m glad Willow found someone like you. She deserves it.” He says offhandedly before turning back towards Killian, brushing more hair off his face.
Nic peers down at Cassi, tilting his head a little in surprise at how serious her expression has become. He raises a hand and cups her cheek, brushing his thumb across her cheekbone. “I appreciate that.” He says sincerely. He leans down to kiss her tenderly for a moment before pulling back.
“And just in case you were worried, the white savior comment was just a joke. You’re too empathetic to do anything just for the glory or face value.”
Nero
Location: Caden & Nero’s Home - Chicago, IL Skills: Fit
Nero’s face lights up, excited for opportunity to experience even just a little of Caden’s power. They beam brightly up at him when he offers his hand and grab it quickly with on of their tiny ones, holding the box of cake in their other hand. “I can’t wait until we’re bonded.” They tell Caden in earnest.
Xavier nods, taking mental notes. “Well then I guess the next move is for me to finish law school and start making the Beowulf name mean something new.” He says, also looking at Killian but keeping his distance for now… even though he wants to be at his side. “I know it’ll take time to gain anyone’s trust… Hell, I don’t even know if everyone in the clan will go for it but… we have all that land on our estate that we can make better use of.”
Unable to bear it anymore, he walks back to Killian’s bed side and pulls a chair close to sit in. “I’m hopeful that we can change things for the better so that something like this is far more rare of a occurrence.” Gently, Xavier places his hand on Killian’s and gives it a tiny squeeze.
